Chose Lola.com
We tried Amex Global Business Travel before but that was not a good experience and it was hard to use. Everyone constantly complained about them and they charge a lot of fees. Lola.com is much much better.
Feature-wise, Lola.com was not as robust as some of their competitors at the time we'd started with Lola, but they've made good progress in this sense to catch up with the other providers. Cost-wise, it was a no-brainer to give Lola.com a shot.
I think the Customer Service with Lola.com is far superior and really what sets them a part from the other Travel Management services. And they listen to feedback and are always looking to continuously improve their product.
Lola has made booking significantly quicker and easier and allows me to continue to accrue points with the brands I frequent in my personal life. Tracking has been incredibly easy with the calendar integration
Lola.com is much easier to use in terms of UX. Very little Admin and/or user training is needed to get up and running with Lola.com -- which increases our ability to quickly scale the solution. However, I would say that Concur is able to do more inside the travel arena with the …
It's a simple, easy tool for an individual traveler. It does not have the breadth of features that Egencia has but it has the core things that matter. For management, it probably does not have the breadth of features for managing larger groups of travelers.
We haven't used or evaluated other travel management platforms because they always seemed geared towards larger, enterprise-level companies. For us, Lola.com was appealing because it seemed well suited to a company of our size, and we really loved the personal attention that is …
It is mostly focused on virtual visa operations. In general, all cash flow controlling suits easily can start from Excel or Google Colab integrations and evolve even to Sungard or WSS. It depends. Visa Spend Clarity is about your flexibility "to have your own bank in a pocket" …
We found the results and returns with the Visa Spend Clarity were more positive than some other platforms. After researching competitors like, Data Card Wizard and AirWallex, we found the ease and comfort for our customers was more beneficial by using the Visa Spend Clarity …
We are currently in the process of planning our company wide retreat in which we need at least 69 people to book their flights. While with that many people traveling at once, I do suspect I'll get some questions and have to assist some folks however by using Lola.com, the time I would have spent prior will be cut drastically. And I'll be able to see who is taking what flight and obtain departure and arrival information without much interruption to anyone's day. Prior to Lola.com this task would have been something truly daunting, but not this time!
To find the expenses which need receipts linked, one has to unnecessarily navigate and use two-levels of drop-down menus to filter, when this should be the first thing a user sees when logging in. Logging in requires 2-step-authorization nearly every time. When going to link receipts and update GL codes, one has to click on three different links just to get to view a transaction and available receipts, then wade through receipts that any basic OCR program should have already recognized and linked automatically. For less-obvious PDF receipts there is no quick viewer, every pdf must be redownloaded to view. When a receipt is linked and a GL code is updated the UI doesn't accept it automatically and move on, no...you have to click another link to complete the transaction, though if you click the 'Complete' link and try to move on it gives you an error message and asks if you'd like to delete the transaction, instead you have to go back and hit 'Update' after you've already made the changes, then it allows you to go to the next expense in the list. Absolutely ridiculous and this doesn't even touch on how bad the mobile app is.
Room for existing features to grow and expand, especially on the administrative side
Visually-speaking, the overall layout and color scheme used within the site, specifically when it comes to placement and contrast of key text info, has led to some confusion at times
Need for more support of existing travel rewards accounts
Focused on virtual visa limits, some locations may need real card connected.
Limit per card and period - once reached and notified would be great to have extra 10% from the funding account added. Cause there may be FX differences or the person is in travel in a different time zone for calling to manually add balance by admin.
Admin account must assign names of categories only (unified for all users).
Invoicing tool - if user spend not properly to send a payback request.
Loan request from a user to funding account: he may need to cover some uncovered by agreement costs - set request, set a return date.
Business reports at Admin or Funding account level to see helicopter picture as it is for a period even prior kept records to books or exported to CSV to process.
This is just my guess as I'm not involved in the decision aside from providing feedback on using Lola. I think, from what I've heard, that everyone likes Lola and we'll renew the usage. I say this because we're an all-remote company and this greatly solves the logistics of booking flights for everyone.
Lola is simple and straight to the point in regards to usability. I didn't have to figure things out and felt that the interface was intuitive. I loved it.
Lola's customer support is fantastic. They have frequently contacted us when there are travel alerts, or anticipated flight cancellations to re-book us before it was too late. They are always helpful and pleasant and we have never had any issues.
We haven't used or evaluated other travel management platforms because they always seemed geared towards larger, enterprise-level companies. For us, Lola.com was appealing because it seemed well suited to a company of our size, and we really loved the personal attention that is built in to the platform. Ultimately, we chose it for the reasonable price, functionality, ease of use, and excellent service.
It is mostly focused on virtual visa operations. In general, all cash flow controlling suits easily can start from Excel or Google Colab integrations and evolve even to Sungard or WSS. It depends. Visa Spend Clarity is about your flexibility "to have your own bank in a pocket" - open sub-accounts, set limits, and reconcile costs actually made by your contractors or employees. We should see it wider and include Uber, Booking, Airbnb, and Flow interactions to make it a really fast process for your contractor from your "Yes" to contractor "Done". The Visa Spend Clarity is not exactly about your money (costs). It is more about your ability to start acting faster even if all details of cooperation with a person are not agreed upon, but as soon as possible, discuss critical details or add maneuver to your decision-making while limiting financial risk with reasonable limits.
They have made travel cheaper, so that is a direct reflection to our customers and to us.
Customer Service just makes the stress of travel on our employees not so bad. Knowing we have someone to stand behind us while we travel goes a long way
