Probably an unfair comparison, but Mimecast has some interesting features that MailMeter does not. First, Mimecast is cloud, MailMeter is on-premise. Mimecast has all the same eDiscovery features that MailMeter has, however is also able to offer seamless archive stubbing into …
Proofpoint is a major player in this space, and I believe their product is overall superior to Webroot Email Security. However, the price is much higher for products like Proofpoint, which has made it difficult to fit that into our budget. We really like using the outbound …
We used to be customers of Virtru, but we found that their feature set was neither nearly as comprehensive nor as user-friendly as Zix's. In addition, we acquired Cisco Ironport but struggled with getting it configured properly. The interface was outdated and difficult to use, …
Although the price is reasonable, my company found that adding Office licenses was a no-brainer. For less money, I was able to upgrade from a lower-tier product at a rival to Zix's premium package. Improved processes and workflows have resulted in a filter that is more precise …
Cost is competitive, but factoring in Office licensing really made sense for my organization. Cost is lower for more features - I was able to move to Zix and get the top of the line package, moving from a mid-tier product at a competitor. Workflows and process have improved, …
We were formerly a Virtru customer, and the feature set was not as robust nor as user friendly as Zix. We also purchased Cisco Ironport and had trouble with configuration. Three phone calls with technicians to set up and the interface was old and antiquated. The Zix …
I have never used another platform besides Zix, because when I was starting to look into it, I was asking other agencies that I saw their secure email with the Zix logo on the bottom, and they all highly recommended Zix, so I did not even need to look elsewhere.
They are a leader in my industry which was huge. I figured if all these Fortune 500 insurance companies use them then they must have something going on. After further review and diligence I see why. Great company and service and a reasonable cost.
The sales staff and online customer service prompts were what made us decide to look into Zix products. The ease of implementation into our configuration and then the ability to edit the lexicons completed the decision.
Our EHR system used to have an imbedded Secure Email feature that we used, but it was rather difficult, not user friendly, and even often times sent our emails to our recipients spam folders. Zix is a vast upgrade and improvement. Emails are delivered more efficiently and it's …
I was not directly involved in the decision to purchase for this product but I got to understand that some costs needed to be reduced. It also came at a time where a merger was taking place so a simpler, cheaper, almost as good as Cisco solution was required to address the …
ShareFile also sends e-mails outside the regular network path and has a portal that can be configured. However, it requires more setup and manual interaction, and as far as I know, does not encrypt/secure the data at rest the same way Zix does. Zix is almost invisible to end …
We used a competing product before that was much easier to use. We switched just to combine the protection service we had with them with the preexisting email encryption services we already had with Zix and was able to negotiate a better price. The encryption piece was the …
Even though employees are highly skeptical and apprehensive to use the product, I try to trust that the Zix scanning is doing its job and protecting what it needs to. I certainly worry about it on a regular basis though.
Our most critical decision to purchase ZIX was the ease of use for the person sending and receiving the encrypted email. We could not have the situation where the receiver had to go to a web site and download an agent or plugin in order to read the email. We could not have the …
Yes, Zix helps with compliance and recommendations of many regulatory bodies that recommend no insecure or unencrypted transmission of personally identifiable information such as drivers license numbers, bank accounts, wiring instructions, date of birth, social security numbers …
We have not used any other products from Zix besides email encryption however we would certainly be interested in having a consultation around our needs and Zix's products. Our company would be extremely inclined to do additional business with Zix based upon our overall very …
Everyone from every department uses Office 365 and we delete thousands of emails in a month or so that are auto-triggered in our production environment which we don't find relevant at that time but later that email saves our project in some folder. We delete all emails to make space for new emails to come in, and in that process. If we lose those emails then we simply use MailMeter to see the deleted email with a request and use advance search and download or tag that email.
I have already recommended Zix to a number of our coworkers in the home healthcare industry, and a number of those coworkers also use Zix, which makes it quite simple to connect with one another. Because it pertains to health care, which is an industry in which it is vital to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity, we also utilize it within our own organization to communicate with one another.
It is much simpler to configure and operate in comparison to other anti-spam applications. Zix's customer usage is comparable to that of other spam filters on the market; but, in terms of convenience of use, Zix comes out on top. Daily delivery of logs is provided, and the user is not required to sign in order for an email to be sent.
Of the few times I've dealt with support, I felt like the people who were on the other end couldn't help me. Latest instance was with resolving a license renewal issue, they had to connect me to someone in Ireland and were on a tight schedule to help me during their shift. Come to find that I could not renew a license because their license server was down. In all it wasn't a good support experience, however unfortunately par for the course.
Zix is very good about response times and information. They even proactively e-mail us about known issues. I have never had an issue go unresolved, and the support team tends to answer quickly unless it's a strange, complicated request. The only time that happened was doing a search through logs, and that was entirely on me and my unfamiliarity with their flavor of Linux.
Probably an unfair comparison, but Mimecast has some interesting features that MailMeter does not. First, Mimecast is cloud, MailMeter is on-premise. Mimecast has all the same eDiscovery features that MailMeter has, however is also able to offer seamless archive stubbing into Outlook. Since you don't have to suck up resources on your local network, you easily save money spent on disk/compute resources.
Proofpoint is a major player in this space, and I believe their product is overall superior to Webroot Email Security. However, the price is much higher for products like Proofpoint, which has made it difficult to fit that into our budget. We really like using the outbound email encryption feature of Zix, and I think that has some serious competitive advantages over something like Proofpoint, and so it is nice to have that all in one platform.
This product has done a bang up job in providing quick access to historical email content. The amount of time saved, including instant verification of email transactions, make this product worth the yearly license.
As a result of hosting our mail archive onsite, we have had to spend large amounts of our total pool on disk space, cutting down on overall ROI.
MailMeter does not require hefty Virtual Machine resources, which allows us to allocate resources towards other servers.
It has identified a lot of security holes from vendors (e.g. most vendors using outdated extensions that we are now able to block, creating a discussion with our users).
