Chose Mentimeter
All of these mentioned tools are great! However, Mentimeter is kind of an allrounder tool. First of all it's easy to use and anyone can login quickly and participate in the quiz/survey/QnA. Gamification is quite good, I really like the live world cloud visualisation which makes …
Chose Mentimeter
Mentimeter has some overlap in features with Kahoot, but it's more geared toward business users, with less gamification and more question types and possibilities for visualization. While Mentimeter does online polls really well, it falls short when you need more advanced survey …
Chose Mentimeter
I have used other polling/survey tools but they are less fun and boring. It was very straightforward, unlike Mentimeter, which can be very engaging and fun to "break the ice". At the end of the day, you want to gain attention from the audience so they would listen to your …

Chose Mentimeter
I haven't used any other product like Menti before. This is my first time trying an app like that.
Chose Mentimeter
The other tool used in our company for live poll is Zoom because of its direct compatibility with Zoom calls. Mentimeter is more interactive in terms of poll questions and its biggest advantage is wordcloud. However, it being an an external tool for a conference app, it is …

Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
In terms of overall performance (drive integration, media management, speed, collaboration) I think Microsoft Powerpoint Online is way behind Google Sheets or even FIGMA. General productiveness fell greatly after our company forced the usage of Microsoft Powerpoint Online, …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft Power is still the easiest product due to it have matured over the years and integrates well with the rest of the other MS Office products. Also since the product is very popular sharing or working together on a slide deck is simplified.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Powerpoint's ease of use makes it stand out.
You can build custom presentations easily, and even those without extensive skills can do this.
It makes it a good tool for a whole organization, rather than each team having its own tool.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft PowerPoint Online may not have all features of the desktop version, but still it has some necessary tools and features which is why we use it. We also use the desktop version, and Google slides [another presentation tool which helps us store files to drive]. …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
I have used Prezi also in my last company along with Microsoft Powerpoint Online. But I feel that Prezi has also good features like designs, frames, themes etc but this tool is really complex to use as compared to Microsoft Powerpoint Online.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
So other than Microsoft Powerpoint Online we are using Google slides which is available with the google drive, Creating presentations with Microsoft Powerpoint Online is much more easy and less time consuming.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
I have used Canva and Google Slides and Powerpoint is any day better than them. Especially now Powerpoint is online too and hence Google slides is no more useful for us.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft PowerPoint online (and its offline sister) are the industry standard for a reason. They have been around the longest, and most people are familiar with how to use them. The competitive software packages are all built on the same foundation as PowerPoint, but none of …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
The most similar online presentation I've found is google slides. PowerPoint online keeps more characteristics of the document (animations, text typography, etc.) when uploading from a desktop.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
It's far more compatible with existing PowerPoint presentations. Period. Nothing else compares.

Mentimeter is great when you want to launch a poll question and show the audience the live result. Also in case of an open text question, the wordcloud works best as when audience types a word, it keeps getting added and displayed on screen. For words answered more, the size increases making the audience easily understand what majority have responded.

Anyone who needs to use Microsoft PowerPoint collaboratively with team members in different locations would do well to let PowerPoint online take care of the dirty work. If you experience issues related to version control - and who doesn't? - this is a worthwhile investment. Plus, PowerPoint online is really the gold standard. Other online software suites do things similarly, but learning curves are eliminated altogether if you are collaborating with a team member who's already familiar with PowerPoint.

Cons
  • I think more brand related customisation option could be helpful
  • Reporting is basic , detailed analysis is missing
  • Integration options are less, could be made more compatible with a lot of leading tools

  • Sometimes formatting is difficult. It is different than formatting in the application.
  • When creating shapes, the shape will not adjust and will be frozen if I want to make it bigger or smaller.
  • Sometimes certain fonts do not show up the same in the application vs online.

I would rather change to other tool if I could. Microsoft Powerpoint Online was top-down forced without a real technical (maybe financial only) reason, and I think the product itself looks like a poor adaptation of the offline version. In my experience, it cannot be properly used in real time collaboration, can't handle large media (images/videos), has low performance even for a single user, it is a nightmare.

Usability
The user interface is really simple to get started with, anyone can start using it. The simplicity might somewhat limit the set of features, but there are some advanced features hidden deeper down in the user interface that you can find once you're up and running and want to start improving your presentations

It works mostly well, but I usually run into a formatting glitch while using Microsoft PPT Online.

Alternatives Considered
Most used part of Mentimeter is that unlimited users can participate in an event like- poll, quiz or word cloud while its alternative has a cap on maximum number of concurrent participation in their free plans. Microsoft Powerpoint could be used to create polls and quiz but in that real-time response cannot be taken as it doesn't provide interactivity with audience directly [One have to use extensions/plugins and third party applications like Mentimeter to get feedbacks]. Kahoot is majorly used for quizzes and its usage is also somewhat limited to one type of engagement however Mentimeter provides a wide range of services. Poll Everywhere and Kahoot both has engagement caps on maximum audience where Kahoot can support 100 users and Poll Everywhere can support upto 25 audience in their free plans. This is a game change for Mentimeter as there is no restrictions as so in free plan on maximum audience size.

Return on Investment
  • People have to be more alert during presentations because it asks people to participate.
  • We actually get good feedback rather then if we did a presentation without Mentimeter.

  • It has made it easier for the training to be well handled and transitioned to the work-at-home life faster.
  • a lot of people is used to the installed version of PowerPoint, the online version is a familiar look and feels to the times when we were working from the office, which made the transition faster and easier for everyone.
