Mobilize vs. NationBuilder

Mobilize is well suited to any situation where you are trying to recruit large numbers of attendees for events and confirm them to keep your flake rate low. For our organization, this was true for our in-person organizing events like postcard parties and phone banks before the pandemic as well as for our digital events like webinars or virtual phone banks during the pandemic.

Excellent for local and state level political campaigns. Also has worked very well for some of our non-profit clients. We do not currently use the platform outside of these scenarios.

• WYSIWYG editor is basic without the ability to customize and add custom fields. This is especially evident when compared to WordPress

• Email templates are difficult to customize compared to Constant Contact and MailChimp

Slack has been really effective for intra team communication but to seamlessly communicate with external stakeholders Mobilize has been really effective. This is the primary reason I selected Mobilize. On top of that the features to collect feedbacks after events is something which is really powerful in Mobilize compared to competitors.

It is difficult to compare WordPress and NationBuilder because they are completely different. NationBuilder is a closed system that is specifically made to accomplish certain things. WordPress is largely an open source product with thousands of plugins, extensions, and expandability. However, because of its increased versatility, some clients gravitate toward WordPress over NationBuilder.
