I find Monday helpful for lead management. It's great because details like phone, email, and addresses are specific columns from which we can grab data and pull it into other areas. It's great to see who is assigned what and to know what the next steps are for your leads. We use a different scheduling tool with our team, as that calendar view isn't as robust.

This is clearly a platform built around experimentation first, and it shows. In this way Statsig is way ahead of the competition of products I've used previously! It's more data science focussed which makes configuration of new experiments complex with a learning curve.

Usability
monday.com
I give a ten for monday dev's usability because it was a really smooth transition coming from Jira to monday dev. All team members also felt that way. When managing projects, the quality and various options I am able to customize views and columns for each task is really a dealbreaker. Approved.

For the most part it is pretty easy to use. - There are some quirks with the javascript SDK (getExperiment().getValue?). - The Events vs. Metrics design pattern is complex, and creating new Metrics from Events can be frustrating if you are trying to use event metadata - It's really frustrating not to be able to link Static IDs (before a user signs up) to User IDs, in order to follow users all the way through onboarding, or to log events that occur for signed in users when you are exposing the experiment to users before they've signed up

Alternatives Considered
monday.com
We selected it because of our previous positive experience with monday dev. In addition, it gave us more options to tie in other parts of our business so it’s under one umbrella and then further automate things. The over tracking and monitoring ability is far better than others out there and allows you to keep a closer eye on how things are operating.

Return on Investment
monday.com
  • We can more easily grab the KPIs for our quarterly reviews.
  • There are no automatic charts or reports I can pull for the quarter. Everything is manually gathered.
  • Doesn't give us job costing.

  • We uncovered several feature releases that were causing a negative impact on our product activation rate by running exclusion experiments
