National Instruments SystemLink vs. Rapise

There are definitely scenarios where NI SystemLink will be useful but just didn't work out well for us. I needed to be able to replace an EXE file on a computer with a new EXE to do the upgrades but I was not able to do that through SystemLink. You had to work with packages in order to perform this and I didn't want to revamp my distribution plan. We also didn't need to do any asset management or calibration documentation through SystemLink. I was excited about being able to view data from the test stations through a browser but our engineers need historical data available and everything resets to a live view when you click back to the UI.

• Flexible programming interface provides a multitude of manners in which to interact with learned UI objects

• For tests that require specific approaches it is necessary to have advanced knowledge of programming in javascrip, which sometimes the QA team does not have experience
• Sometimes I have noticed that when using object dragging errors occur intermittently
• The integration with some tools (Dynamics) is only with the basic functions from my point of view

The main reason for choosing Rapise was that the other two options that we had tried at that time only served us for web applications and with Rapise we have greater versatility without changing the solution. In addition to the compatibility with other libraries that are familiar to us and easy application by our team
