Nozzle vs. UpCity

Nozzle is the right tool for any digital agency professional interested in making data-driven decisions. If keyword tracking or SEO as a whole is a part of a project, then Nozzle is a great tool to have access to. In short, if the word SEO is somewhere in the project description, then Nozzle should be listed as a required tool.

UpCity is well suited for agencies or freelancers that want a defined process to help market for clients or small companies wanting to be found online. It's especially helpful for someone not that knowledgeable on SEO. As long as they follow the checklist, their site has a great chance at increased traffic. I find it's not as useful for companies and agencies that already has a process in place and a set criteria for marketing. If you've been in the business for a while and already know what you're doing, the checklist may not be as valuable.

• - It is great that we can change data SERP frequency to be daily / weekly / monthly / etc to save on limits (My current tracker can’t do this)
• - LOTS of data, and many ways to visualize them
• - Customer service is efficient, you can get them on Live chat. They also have an active Slack channel, and replies are really quick

• The UpCity platform is easy to use and simple to understand.
• UpCity helps our agency by providing high quality copywriting for blogs and websites, as well as detailed research and analysis using their software.
• The UpCity SEO report card tool is a helpful sales tool for generating leads.

• It is hard to understand as a novice in SEO, more hover explanations would be helpful
• I do not think they have automatic reports and notifications but this would be nice to have
• Their sign in process is a bit odd, as you sign in and then get emailed a link

• Pricing seemed far to high for small agencies just starting.
• I know UpCity has many more features than just a checklist, but I didn't find them as useful as the checklist and relied on other tools for citations and reporting.

Usability is mediocre: They have a dashboard to track things but they have some antiquated system of ranking companies and don’t tell you what the logic is behind it. You also have no way to combat negative ratings or respond and try to correct them.

I received little help from customer service rep, Sarah. She told me I should speak to a manager to “reset my expectations”. Apparently, all the sales promises of more traffic and increase SEO were an issue with my expectations, and not the company failing to deliver.

Nozzle is fitting in very well between my other Trackers (SERPWoo, Serpstat & Ubersuggest). As it confirms data focus and keyword ranking positions that other tools miss in some way or other, I can focus on easy picks for SERP position growth hacks then move to other tools to confirm.

• Nozzle was able to identify several high ranking key words and pages of my competition so that I can specific target those keywords next
• It was able to track multiple key words for 3 companies quickly

• Spent majority of marketing budget on 5 clicks to my site!
