ParishSOFT vs. Rock RMS

It Beats other software such as QuickBooks, which I use at home for other purposes.

Rock RMS is a great CMS for churches passionate about technology and innovation. It requires advanced developing skills to operate, which can be a challenge - but there are several partners available for contracting work. Successful usage of Rock RMS opens up the door for endless possibilities - from dynamic and beautiful websites, automations that serve both internal (staff) and external (customer) needs, and unending possibilities for innovative solutions!

• The only thing I can suggest is frequency of memorized transactions, to allow for bimonthly billing. Right now, the system allows for 26 week cycle.

• Group Scheduler is missing some key features
• Event registrations aren't the most user friendly
• Security permissions are a challenge as we grow

We have been on ParishSoft for over ten years and it is interfaced with all of our critical systems. We know the system as well as our users. Changes in systems never go very well

In my opinion, you will need to have developers on your team, or partner with contractors in order to get Rock RMS set up properly and keep in maintained. I think you will also need to have Rock RMS Super Users who can troubleshoot bugs and handle basic requests from internal staff. There are also several functions that every day staff use which are very user friendly (i.e. Group Viewer, content channels, Group Scheduler, communication templates.)

If we have had an outage it has never been long enough to affect our business processes.

They are cloud based and ParishSoft has not affected out speed and integration processes.

Sometimes the support team is very busy and can take a while to get in contact with them. When we do, the individual is very knowledgeable about the system and they collaborate with us for solutions

Just like any system, while trying to explain your issue, it was difficult to be on the same page. ParishSoft was very patient through this process

Implementation was seamless. ParishSoft assisted us at the time of downloading our existing information from the system we were on and uploading the information into ParishSoft. We found no errors in the conversion.

As mentioned previously, this is a corporate wide installation, and meets the needs of our business.

In my experience, Rock RMS is much more customizable, robust, and community focused than PCO. Planning Center's sweet spot is music management and volunteer scheduling, but I think Rock RMS outshines PCO with its integration of web sites and mobile apps, automations and jobs, workflows, and its focus on community. There are tons of free and paid plugins for Rock RMS, as well as multiple Rock RMS partners to choose from.

Has met every need we have to assist us in managing the process around the need.
