Polycom RealPresence Immersive Video Conferencing is perfect for an organization with different offices all over the world and this comes from first hand experience. It is well suited for an organization that relies on video conferencing to video chat with clients that also use Polycom. It would not be well suited for a company that could make do with a cheaper solution, i.e. Skype or Zoom.

Alternatives Considered
Polycom RealPresence is really only the preferred teleconferencing solution when using a purpose built room for a scheduled face to face meeting. For ad hoc video meetings, Hangouts, Skype, and Slack all provide fewer friction points for average use cases. In fact, as Google accounts are nearly ubiquitous at this point, Hangouts has almost become the de facto standard for ad hoc video conferencing amongst our users.

Even Jupiter. You get the idea.Screenshot of Like before covid. Walk down to your coworkers, catch up with them, plan your next step. If you don't want to be interrupted, just go into private mode. Also useful for sensitive topics or private, one-on-one talks.Screenshot of Share your screen, embed entire websites, watch videos together - you are not limited. At least not by us. Unless you remove them...then they're gone.Screenshot of Private mode for more discrete matters. One-on-one talks, or when you just don't want to be bothered during an intense work session. Broadcasting feature, so you can talk to everyone in the room (without being interrupted) will be added soon
