RealVNC was the godfather of Remote connectivity, but security was a concern as well as performance. I will have to admit it has been several years since I have used RealVNC
Chose RemotePC
I was tired of dealing with the free 1 minute algorithm lockup, even when I wasn't a business. I prefer to pay something (a lot less) that I ended up discovering is even easier to use and better than them
Chose RemotePC
Its just easy to use and does exactly what is advertised. There is nothing complicated about it. If you need access to your home PC from anywhere in the world on a computer with a browser or a smart phone, you now have it for a super low price.
Chose RemotePC
RemotePC is remarkably similar to TeamViewer. It uses a similar interface to TeamViewer software. When I first started using it, I thought it was a little slower, but after a month, I noticed it was almost the same. It is stable and does exactly what I need (Internet-based …
Chose RemotePC
RemotePC offers a more cost-effective solution compared to TeamViewer, with similar features for remote desktop access. I selected RemotePC because it provides better value for smaller teams or individual users, offering lower pricing tiers and equally robust security measures, …
Chose RemotePC
This software offers a similar feature set at a much better price point, making it a better value.
Chose RemotePC
There is no comparison between our old system and RemotePC. I went with RemotePC so that we would have access to any remote system, from any platform, regardless of where I was. Be that my own laptop, my home workstation or even my smartphone. In a pinch I could even stop at …
Chose RemotePC
RemotePC blows them out of the water. It is much more user-friendly and doesn't drop out all the time.
Chose RemotePC
I selected RemotePC as it seemed to offer a better selection of features at a more realistic price than competitors.
Chose RemotePC
TeamViewer has a lot of features (maybe even too many) and feels very overpriced. RemotePC delivers much greater value.
Chose RemotePC
It is pretty similar. Splashtop is good but a bit pricey. RemotePC is more cost effective. Over all my favorite has been bomgar, RemotePC is better then kaseya.
Chose RemotePC
I think RemotePC is cost-effective, has excellent performance and responsiveness, and is user-friendly.
Chose RemotePC
I cannot print to my local/home computer from FortiClient. I can with RemotePC.
I had many connection issues using FortiClient. I have had none with RemotePC.
FortiClient's equipment has a planned sunset date...thereby forcing me to purchase new equipment. RemotePC does not …
Chose RemotePC
RemotePC provides the same service ad a substantially lower cost and is considerably more user friendly
Chose RemotePC
As I mentioned earlier all the above products had difficulty working with Apple Operating Systems. Difficult to set the optimum security settings. Problems arose every time an OS update occurred.
Chose RemotePC
RemotePC provides comprehensive features and secure reliable connections at value pricing for our fixed remote admin needs.
Techinline Remote Desktop
Chose Techinline Remote Desktop
The fundamental problem we encountered with TeamViewer and GoToAssist back in 2009 was both required separate licenses for each system the software was installed on. Thus, for a small outfit like ours with two technicians, we'd require a total of 6 licenses (office, home, and …
Chose Techinline Remote Desktop
  1. Chrome Remote Desktop is not suited at all for remote support.
  2. LogMeIn is very expensive but the highest grade in its class
Chose Techinline Remote Desktop
Teamviewer I use for Mac clients, I like fixme.it better because of ease of client to get me a client id
Chose Techinline Remote Desktop
In the price arena, FixMe.IT is less costly than GoToMeeting. GoToMeeting is good for conferencing but not that useful for support and harder to connect.
Chose Techinline Remote Desktop
  • Faster and better over the internet access.
  • Also not domain dependent like DameWare is in our current configuration.

Being able to use my office computer from any other computer with the RemotePC software seamlessly. Having the ability to control and access software and hardware just like working from my office computer. On the other side, the printing capabilities can be improved to allow for better remote printing. Otherwise the system works very well

Best for support, demos. Don't think there is a conference number to call so if you want to demo to multiple locations we would need to conference the users in with our phone system.

Pros
  • Easy setup, Within minutes of Installation I was up and running
  • Security - OTP 2-Factor authentication, passed security testing.
  • Performance - Though I have not fully pushed the boundary it performs as if I was sitting at my desk at home from an Android tablet in the parking lot of work.
  • Value - We all have taken a gamble when buying a product. This is one of the purchases that I am actually happy with. It is a great value for what you get.

  • Portability - expert application can be installed on any PC in seconds.
  • Easy deployment - even clients with very limited computer capabilities can install the client to let a technician in.
  • Multi-monitor support - handling clients with multiple monitors is easy.

Cons
  • long waiting time to initiate connection compare to competitors
  • total lack of keyboard translation between macOS - Windows. No keyboard configuration options at all. I don't recommend macOS users, and non-english keyboard layout users.
  • Key combination transfer doesn't work or behaves strange

  • Not sure if we are able to display multiple screens at the same time. For example the server and some workstations. I know we can click back and forth easily, but not sure if we can display them at the same time.

I still find value in this tool. If I needed to increase computers supported, I would need to revaluate pricing concerns.

Great product for the price. I would buy it again. We now have 6 licenses of it and it's completely worth the investment.

Usability
At this point I have no issue with RemotePC's overall usability. It continues to meet my needs for what is required for me to run my business. I would like to see continued improvements with RemotePC's allowing me to continue to work remotely. Waking or starting the computer would be a plus.

It is all just done through email so there is no tracking of tickets but there is not much need since they will respond multiple times a day if needed. I never have any issue with them though. They are very well trained.

The fundamental problem we encountered with TeamViewer and GoToAssist back in 2009 was both required separate licenses for each system the software was installed on. Thus, for a small outfit like ours with two technicians, we'd require a total of 6 licenses (office, home, and laptop) which got outrageously expensive. TeamViewer also had a nasty habit of updating to a newer version that our license didn't support (if the technician forgot to turn this feature off, or it was updated automatically by Vipre patch management).
