TripActions is the first platform of its kind used by the company. Our director of Domestic Sales selected TripActions after evaluating other platforms (the names of which I do not know). His objective was to streamline travel planning, so that individual users are able to …
Chose Navan
TripActions destroys Concur. TripActions is way more user friendly and has a ton more functionality. No comparison.
Chose Navan
We used Corporate Traveler in the past. It was nice to have a dedicated travel agent, but with an organization, our size TripActions has been the best option!
Chose Navan
I personally believe that TripActions is ahead of the game here. They're always pushing out additional features and their functionality never seems to fail.
Chose Navan
I like TripActions more because everything is on a mobile app that is super user-friendly. The customer service team is also world class-I genuinely have never felt so taken care of. More so, Concur Travel and Expense never rewarded me for traveling, while I made over 200 …
Chose Navan
TripActions has superior UI, better inventory, pretty much better in every way.
Chose Navan
TripActions have less shady tricks and hidden fee but the same or better selection and price, save time.
Chose Navan
TripActions stacks up exceptionally when comparing against similar tools such as Nexonia, or Certify. Both of which I have used at prior Sales Orgs. With expense tools, it all comes down to the mobile application. If you're traveling at all for your role/job, you will …
Chose Navan
Not a fan of TripIt at all. TripActions is clearly the superior product in giving vast rewards and benefits for business travel. TripIt has seamless integration with Concur but is not user-friendly at all.
Chose Navan
TripActions is better in every way. Support, ease of use, benefits to me, as well as just the ability to compare options easily in a variety of different ways. It easily links to my travel rewards programs which is nice so I can get the benefits even when booking with my …
Chose Navan
I think TripActions is better since visually it is easier to review the trip. The appeal to the eye is nice.
Chose Navan
Definitely the look, feel and usability.
Chose Navan
TripActions is far superior to Egencia in terms of ease of use and customer support. I would not recommend Egencia for company use.
Chose Navan
They are not built for enterprises, not as intuitive, easy or organized
Chose Navan
Concur was very hard to use and most of my team didn't like using it. It was not user-friendly like TripActions.
Chose Navan
User-friendly interface. TripActions is extremely intuitive and easy to use, with tabs, graphics, chat, etc. Bonuses for individuals. The Amazon bonuses are a best seller.
Chose Navan
We evaluated a number of products and landed on TripActions... flexibility about company policy; deployment of iPhone app and its integration with Expensify were key.
Chose Navan
We realized there was a lot of money being spent on travel and hotel accomadations, and there was no way to cap how much an employee was spending. This has solved many business problems by visually explaining the correct amount someone should be spending on flights and hotels, …
Chose Navan
We did not have a good experience with Concur. It was difficult to use and outdated. I spent many days helping our travelers try to find the correct flights on Concur, or helping them troubleshoot errors. TripActions was a huge improvement and both myself and our travelers …

Our experience with larger booking agencies has so far been unimpressive. It seems like, because we are a small non-profit with a smaller budget, we were definitely not top of mind for customer service and often waited up to a week for questions to be answered. Routespring is a …
Chose Routespring
At the time, TripActions did not have sufficient price controls or out of policy approval process for us to continue using them. Routespring makes it very easy to have visibility and control on our travel spend.

TripActions is absolutely useful for any outside sales teams and companies that promote or offer a lot of travel. If the sales team travels as much as ours does, it's worth the investment. If travel is not something that most of your company has on a monthly to quarterly basis, I do not think that TripActions would be well suited for that environment

Routespring has worked great for us for following reasons:
  1. We prefer not to have our employees pay for travel to avoid the reimbursement process as much as possible. Routespring's ability to configure centralized payments and extensive prepaid inventory helps us achieve that.
  2. We need closely control our travel spend as it directly impacts our cost of goods. The ease of configuring budget controls at multiple levels help us manage the costs almost effortlessly.
  3. Above all, Routespring has an excellent team of support people. Our team is super happy with their professional approach and responsiveness. We have never had any issue.
  4. On the admin side as well, I have always had a great experience in getting things done with the help of their account management team. We have been able to make changes and process updates on very short-timelines. They have competitive rates and they always maintain consistent communication on how to bring costs down.

Cons
  • Global Pricing: Since TripActions has the role of an inventory aggregator, they have to tackle inventory one distributor at a time. If CTrip or MakeMyTrip has better inventory, it won't flow through to TripActions until a deal with them is made.
  • Controls: TripActions is very open in the way it enforces policy - meaning it isn't for every company. If a customer wants more heavy-handed controls, they'll have to go with a competitor.

  • It's hard to tell where to go to book a flight right after you create an account.
  • It is a pretty basic design - I think they'd raise confidence in their tech skills even further if the site were a little flashier.
  • The site is geared toward companies whose employees all have the same email address domain. However, they are able to accommodate different email addresses if you provide them so they can add the domains to your account.

This decision overall isn’t made by me. The company evaluates the product. While I am an influencer the overall review is my personal opinion and mine only. The company books flights or would like for us to book flights through trip actions everything else is suggested but done with a personal cc which makes it optional. My option will be to not use TripActions for anything personally.

After trying for weeks to (unsuccessfully) set up an account with another online booking agency, we contacted Routespring to see if they could help us based on the great reviews we saw. It took them about three days total to have everything in place and ready for our guests to start booking their flights while ticket prices were still reasonable. They have been attentive to all of our needs, respond quickly and professionally to guest questions, and are a lot of fun to work with as well. We couldn't have asked for a better partner for this project!

TripActions is the first platform of its kind used by the company. Our director of Domestic Sales selected TripActions after evaluating other platforms (the names of which I do not know). His objective was to streamline travel planning, so that individual users are able to handle their own travel needs within company budgets, rather than relying on a travel coordinator position to handle planning for multiple employees (which had been the approach prior to TripActions).

Our experience with larger booking agencies has so far been unimpressive. It seems like, because we are a small non-profit with a smaller budget, we were definitely not top of mind for customer service and often waited up to a week for questions to be answered. Routespring is a small but mighty organization that will definitely make a name for themselves in this arena if they continue on the path they're on now. They work hard and quickly to ensure you are satisfied with their service and that your guests have a seamless experience booking travel and accommodations on their platform. It is obvious that they truly care about their clients.

Return on Investment
  • The ability to change flights while I am on the road in meetings. They actually call the agents for me.
  • It has put money back in my pocket with the Amazon rewards and my company has saved money by me booking the less expensive options.

  • This platform saved us many, many employee hours by eliminating the need to book flights for guests, track and approve travel receipts and dispense reimbursement.
  • Our guests could easily book their flights in one place with a line of credit we were invoiced for weekly, with our credit card on file as a backup. For the first time ever, our travel planning is completely done two months before the Conference.
  • We were able to set spending caps on ticket prices to stay within our budget, and we received notifications if anyone requested a ticket above the limit we set or tried to upgrade on our account.
