Chose Seismic Learning
The primary reason why Seismic Learning stacks up against them is that one of the features that Seismic Learning that they don't have is being able to watch lessons and secondly there is a progress tracker in each of every lesson that you ever took in which will help you …
Chose Seismic Learning
We selected Lessonly over in depth evals of Trainual and Rise (not sure if that Rise is the correct link above) and all three are great tools. This came down to intuitive UI and the price point for us. As a growing company, they were willing to work with us to gradient up a …
Chose Seismic Learning
I think Lessonly is unique and [more] reliable than its alternatives because of its ease of use. Every team member in our company loves Lessonly because it is easy to implement and navigate. It has an organized interface that everyone in our team understands. Moreover, Lessonly …
Chose Seismic Learning
Lessonly was already chosen by the company and I was introduced to it. Very quickly I really liked it. It made it so easy to watch and manage training videos for employees. I feel like Lessonly is one of the leaders of LMS platforms on the market. I'm very impressed.
Chose Seismic Learning
Skyprep was very limited in how you could add and edit lesson modules. You had to upload documents where the formatting changed from how you had it set up to how it appeared on Skyprep. It was very hard to use and didn't offer a lot of features to make training less monotonous …
Chose Seismic Learning
We selected Lessonly because it was more comprehensive than many of the other options on the market, and more specifically geared toward customer service than some others. The flexibility and customizable options were also incredibly appealing--being able to fully create our …
Chose Seismic Learning
I haven't really used or evaluated any other product like Lessonly. I found Lessonly in searching the apps associated with Zenefits, which we have used as an HR/onboarding platform for our clients and our own internal staff. I researched it and found it to be a platform that …
Chose Seismic Learning
  • Easy to use
  • Capabilities, especially search and video recording
  • Price is relatively good
Chose Seismic Learning
I haven't used other products like Lessonly!
Chose Seismic Learning
We went with Lessonly for its:
  • Searchable content.
  • Ability to ask an expert privately and immediately.
Chose Seismic Learning
Better instruction features and flow.
Chose Seismic Learning
Again, not really relevant here. I haven't used other products, and wasn't part of the decision process in choosing Lessonly.
Chose Seismic Learning
Not true! I haven't used any but I can't leave the field empty.
Chose Seismic Learning
Lessonly is more user-friendly and easy to use!
Chose Seismic Learning
Lessonly was our top choice because it was the only one who had all the features we were looking for.
Chose Seismic Learning
MindTickle was hated by our users - company switched to Lessonly before I arrived.

Allego and Docebo both seem to have fundamentally different uses - mostly for hive-mind knowledge collection among salespeople, which may be helpful, but can't be scaled to the entire …
Chose Seismic Learning
I cannot answer this question as I have not used any other programs. I tested a few as demos while searching for Lessonly and it made my choice very easy. The others were clunky and outdated. Lessonly is sleek and user friendly.
Chose Seismic Learning
I have used one other similar software in the past, and Lessonly is much more user-friendly. The previous software was extremely clunky, and even after going through training on it, I never fully utilized it because of how overly complicated it was.
Chose Seismic Learning
Not Applicable. I had to choose a platform in order to move forward. I have not used any products like Lessonly. I have always trained staff the old fashioned way: spending several days to a week showing the new hires the ropes, getting them settled, sitting with them while …
Chose Seismic Learning
Lessonly offers a feature that was critical for us, which was a full search feature (within content as well as tags, titles, etc.). This really put Lessonly over the top for us.
Spekit
Chose Spekit
We selected Spekit because of its superior customer service and ability to handle our use case to have our Salesforce Stage Gates fully populated. The ability to have a definition "on-page" for Salesforce fields was critical for us.
Chose Spekit
Spekit may not be as robust as Confluence or organized as SharePoint, but its use of embedded tooltips (Speks) and browser extension put it in the S Tier for "just-in-time learning" platforms - particularly for customer-facing teams.
Chose Spekit
Spekit is fine, I just feel like it doesn't have the world's best upfront organizational tool. I like Atlassian Confluence due to the ability to have pages and have an organized thought. That does take significantly more effort to keep it organized and up to date which everyone …
Chose Spekit
I haven't used any other competitors.

Lessonly can be used anywhere a digital learning system works. We use a mix of hands-on training and curriculum. For training our photographers, they go through the lessons with a camera on the desk to test with and tangibly learn what they are reading. Same with our production teams, we have physical representations of the camera cards and order forms that they will be dealing with on a daily basis to help solidify the training they are receiving from Lessonly. It frees up our full-time staff to get prepared for the new season. Once the new hires are done with their assigned lessons, they are ready to start shadowing staff. All of the training and shadowing is done in one day and they are ready to hit the ground running on day two! Lessonly has greatly increased our productivity.

Good situation: when you have way too many tools hosting content, Spekit is great at bringing everything together so I don't need to remember where things are hosted. I just need to know ish how to search. Bad: I feel like it still doesn't help people discover content nearly as much. The nice thing about a Confluence or other systems like that is that there are resources right in front of you, VS having to know what to search for. Also, I hate the extension, stop cluttering up Gmail.

Pros
  • Open to feedback and ideas and constantly innovating and iterating on their product to serve new needs that arise
  • Making me feel like more than just a customer: They aren't transactional and focus on building the relationship and making me feel heard.
  • Extremely easy to use product so building content takes little time, and I can leverage other subject matter experts to build content as well.

  • Looks great, the design of the plug-in looks very streamlined. It makes a difference if a plugin is ugly.
  • Integration is great. It installs into Google Chrome in seconds. It's always accessible when you need it
  • Usability is amazing. It automatically places itself near tabs that you might need help on.

Cons
  • When editing a reveal or flip card, the image and text are backwards. The text is on the top and the image is on the bottom when you are editing. But when you publish the lesson, they switch and the photo will be on the top and the text will be on the bottom.
  • Their customer service agents are incredibly friendly and helpful, it will just often be a while before someone is able to respond and assist you.

  • Honestly, there are a lot of tools that do the same thing - there are lots of search tools for orgs that use too many tools to host content.
  • I truly despise all the little helpers when I download the extension. Its the worst, stop cluttering my chrome.

Worried about its acquisition by Seismic and hope that they don't change the product or the terms drastically.

Usability
Extremely easy to use. I was up and running with my team almost instantly. Working at a small company, we didn't have a lot of dev/engineering resources. Having a tool like Lessonly helped me instantly export information to my team without any additional delay from internal departments

As an administrator, it is very easy to navigate. I can easily see which content is performing well, which content has not been touched. It's simple to teach new team members how to create content. We have added new authors easily in multiple groups in the business.

This is one of the main reasons I keep going back to Lessonly. The customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced. From the sales process to the work with your customer success rep, Lessonly by far beats out the competitors in this area.

MindTickle was hated by our users - company switched to Lessonly before I arrived. Allego and Docebo both seem to have fundamentally different uses - mostly for hive-mind knowledge collection among salespeople, which may be helpful, but can't be scaled to the entire organization, and not suited to top-down training requirements. We may eventually purchase to supplement Lessonly, not replace it

  • The time saved from using Spekit is incredible. No more calls/emails asking "what's this field for?" or "How do I do ?" It's all right there, thanks to Spekit.
  • Using Spekit has provided an unexpected morale boost because it's not only easy to use, but it's making work more enjoyable too.
