Considered Both Products
Teachable
Chose Teachable
The platform is more atractive than others. This one has more features and allows more control over your students. Plus is cheaper in the long run.
Chose Teachable
It's honestly just worked really well for us in terms of serving the actual course content. Plus, our customers can maintain one profile and use that to access all of the courses and bonuses that they've acquired from us. And the cost of Teachable has been very reasonable in …
Chose Teachable
I evaluated Teachable against Thinkific and Kajabi when I started the business. I get regular pitches from new to market comeptitors. However the cost/effort of switching is not justified by the incremental features or better terms they offer. So, I have not recently …
Chose Teachable
Thinkific is light years beyond Teachable. Thinkific is wonderful. Their UI is better. They have much better customer service and don't falsely advertise their services. Teachable is the opposite of everything good.
WizIQ LMS
Chose WizIQ LMS
I selected WizIQ because I used them when I subscribed for org.wiziq for nearly 10 years. It was firstly trusting in their technical support system in place and their new plug-in. Other products that are available for free or a nominal amount, e.g. Zoom and Google Meet are way …
Chose WizIQ LMS
Nothing yet. But I sure will switch to other software once this subscription ends.
Chose WizIQ LMS
We have also looked at Learncube, Braincert, and Blackboard and currently use Electalive. Only Electalive currently offers all the features we need, although reliability is sometimes a problem.
Chose WizIQ LMS
Here we found some of the basic features of an LMS application we like:

1. Creating a course in simple steps.
Chose WizIQ LMS
After our abysmal experience with WizIQ, I found Canvas Instructure. Honestly, have had a wonderful experience with Canvas--none of the problems that WizIQ had. Also, for the size/resources we need, Canvas is FREE.
Chose WizIQ LMS
  • Audio Quality - TalentLMS is better but now WizIQ's updated versions are improving quickly. Kudos to their team but still it is sometimes sluggish.
  • Low User base - WizIQ is all round.
  • High User base - nobody is perfect.
Chose WizIQ LMS
On pricing atlassian is much more cost effective, I used other free softwares that combined with atlassian would give me some of the functionality that WizIQ has, but having everything integrated is the best way to go.
Chose WizIQ LMS
Google Classroom works so much better than WizIQ. Communication is clearer and and it proved to be an effective medium of instruction for online learning. On top of that, it's free.
Chose WizIQ LMS
WizIQ Live Classroom is much lower quality than Skype, Wechat...No comparison. Poor quality. WizIQ is a scam
Chose WizIQ LMS
Have not tried any other product so far but intend to review some which allow easy creation and addition of online academies for a consultant like me. Yes the pricing factor is a major driver but one needs to check how to transfer/migrate and re-upload content and courses etc., …
Chose WizIQ LMS
There are more products available but I did not use anything other than WizIQ Online Academy Builder. So no comments but a user can always compare the quality and price before purchasing the WizIQ platform.
Chose WizIQ LMS
WizIQ is less expensive than Adobe Connect, comparable to RedBooth price-wise but better quality. Again, if I needed something more robust I might consider other options - but for what I need WizIQ has been perfect. It's a great product and a great value.
Chose WizIQ LMS

I used other similar software but prefer WizIQ Online Academy Builder because it’s really easy to use, especially for a live class. I recommend this software to beginner users (teachers or professionals). They will not feel frustrated when using WizIQ Online Academy Builder.

I …

Chose WizIQ LMS
ProProfs is quite good in terms of survey/test structures, but reporting is not very good. I have not used WizIQ Online Academy Builder too much for testing, so cannot compare.

User Testimonials
TeachableWizIQ LMS

Teachable is excellent to work with as a software platform. However, after change of ownership, they made a massive price hike to legacy users, and stripped away many of the benefits that early adopters had enjoyed. All with next to no communication and transition. This burned a lot of trust and is the only reason for a7 rather than a 9.

Mails from WizIQ Online Academy Builder very often land in spam, for our students/corporate trainees. While this may not be something WizIQ Online Academy Builder can do much about, it is a genuine issue since we need to keep resending mails till people manage to retrieve it from their spam folders.

Cons
  • Communication with customers about changes to terms
  • Customer support is slow
  • Integration with Active Campaign
  • Although all are good but WizIQ needs to improve in these fields...It goes offline once in a while which is a headache as it needs to be constantly managed and needs to be kept under observation all the time.
  • It is better for less userbase management as its browser platform is not stable for a larger number of participants.
  • We need to manage each online department separately.
  • Audio sound needs to be more clear.

Because we haven't had any major issues with it. The platform is really simple to use and the content can be uploaded and modified very easily. It has a drag and drop feature that makes everything fast and easy. Their support has always answered our questions or concerns and the cost is affodable. We will keep using it in the future.

I need to overcome some of the important limitations which have been pending for more than 6 months indicating inability of the vendor or lack of clarity among the development team about what we want and how it can be done easily on their platform and MySQL at virtually no cost without ending up in a feature modification custom development and cost. Teaching and learning with respect to an Indian scenario is different and needs to be adapted to the local needs and realities.

Usability
Because it's easier to use both as administrators and both as user. We have never heard of any users having issues login in or going through the lectures or completing the course

I have understood and used most of it by now after 6-7 months of exploration and use. Though there are small glitches that could be easily resolved by WizIQ, I feel comfortable to handle the product by now. However, clients find it a challenge to explore and do not wish to spend time to learn

Support Rating
Their support is good overal. There are a couple of things that I would change, like answering faster. Sometimes they take a day to answer a concern and that's kind of annoying considering sometimes there are urgent issues we have to deal with. But the support has been good, they have answered properly.

Very responsive and accommodating during the sales period, then totally unhelpful, rude and dismissive when you are unhappy with the product. Now ignoring my messages.

It was a product presentation and not a live work through kind of training. I had to remember the presentation from remote and then go about the tool/ builder. It was difficult to handle and I had a lot of doubts and clarifications to address in my initial rounds of launching my courses.

Implementation Rating
I'd say: learn the system first, try it out and then publish the content with customers. There are a couple of features that will cause issues with customers (especially lazy ones) but I'd say it's easy to implement and modify if needed. People don't need to train much to use Teachable, but they should take their time to know it.

I have developed my own expertise and that is for sale to my clients as a part of my consulting services. I have much to share for assignment and assessment models, course design aspects and mentoring aspects as this is a remote self paced service. If the courses are live and managed still there needs to be mentoring and support to help the learner.

Scalability
We haven't had any issues with it. Their maintanance hours are always at times when we don't have students there, and even then, they still can access the platform

Seems pretty good to me as of now. Of course there are usage slabs and commercials to handle before scaling up.

Return on Investment
  • We were out the money and time of loading all courses onto Teachable, paying their fees, and then having to scramble to transfer thousands of students to another platform and pay all the setups again.

  • By using the WizIQ our team has launched more than 130 courses for internal staff capacity building.
  • We also monitor which learner is doing well in the overall assigned courses.
  • Created a list of courses which help everyone who is new to the organization.
