TechTarget would notify us when prospects looked us up by name or specifically researched areas where our product would prove beneficial. It did a great job gauging legitimate interest from the prospect and gave an idea of a timeline as well so that we could understand their urgency.

Winmo is best suited when you know which company you are looking for, but are missing some information, including key contacts, agency relationships, and quarterly advertising budgets. Scenarios where it is less appropriate are when you already know which company/contact you are looking for, and you are merely looking for company info to provide context

  • Contact Info is pretty good. I've occasionally found better data than I can get from our chosen lead solution.
  • I don't know of another alternative source, but TechTarget provides data on content that people are researching.
  • TechTarget provides current tech stack for companies that I'm researching.

  • Great insight into personnel changes and upcoming campaigns at major media spending accounts and agencies.
  • Correct contact information at the agency and client level, often with email and phone numbers.
  • Up-to-date agency/client relationships. Particularly valuable when a client hires/fires a new agency.

  • The site loads kind of slowly. It seems like it takes a while for all of the information to populate on the screen.
  • I would like to be able to make calls directly from TechTarget Priority Engine.
  • Give real time notification when a prospect is on our site.

  • The contact info can be somewhat stale...it pays to double-check LinkedIn first to see if a particular contact still has that position.
  • Would like to see more info on lesser-known brands, since the big brands often mentioned are already inundated with sales inquiries.

I'm just a business user of TechTarget so I really haven't had the chance to gauge what the support is from a customer standpoint. Given that we recently rolled it out and everyone is utilizing it daily I would assume that their support is strong enough for us to continues to use it.

Alternatives Considered
TechTargets Priority Engine's interface and customizable features were easier to use and better organized than ZoomInfo's. I like the custom alerts that TechTarget provided, and I'm not sure ZoomInfo had the same feature. I would get email alerts any time a target customer read a white paper or downloaded a brochure, which made my timing for prospecting much easier. I do believe ZoomInfo's company directories are more robust and wide-spread

  • I personally did not see a return on investment, but I believe others in the organization are having success with the platform
  • On a positive note, the insights into search behaviors and interest trends is great.
  • I recommend they develop better training for first time users specific to a variety of use cases

  • I can say that acquiring this software has been profitable for the agency because we have increased our client portfolio, and we have also reduced the hours we used to invest in the search for new clients and contacts. The list of contacts it provides us with is always very useful and they almost always become clients.
