Wise has great transfer fees, while Stripe has online payment options. We are using both services since Stripe can be connected to our invoicing platform, and our clients can pay us with a few clicks. Wise, as far as I know, does not offer such integration, and all transfers …
Chose Wise
I used all of them and some more like Skrill, Neteller. Wise just worked better for me in most cases. Also, I use Payoneer a lot. When I started freelancing I was only using Payoneer, so it's been with me forever. But Wise worked pretty well for me, at least better than Remitly.

Apple Pay has high fees and hidden charges, not easy to use and it does not really support enterprises. It is also not regulated by MAS so we don't feel safe using it. Transferwise account was easy to set up (within minutes), the admin fee is low and the pricing is very …
Chose Wise
Stripe is good and convenient as well. However to setup something more in-depth as an invoicing platform, Stripe definitely is more flexible. The only downside to Stripe is.. It takes a higher transfer fee as compared to TransferWise.

With Revolut, taxes are lower (even for free) for small number of transfers and small amounts. It all depends on the individual needs. However, Revolut is worse with regards to user experience and interface, what is something to consider (specially when dealing with the upload …

We considered PayPal payment, ACH bank transfer, and simply mailing a check. TransferWise's fees were much lower than PayPal and our bank. Postage might have been less than TransferWise's fee, but payment could have taken more than a week rather than hours (or days in the case …

TransferWise beats all the competition on transaction rates, and it's easy to use. I literally have found no drawbacks in using TransferWise to pay my overseas contractors, and they prefer it too. I found it because my contractor recommended it to me, and it's better AND …
Chose Wise
We have used Xoom and PayPal Payments, but TransferWise works for additional countries and has more transparent fees.
Chose Wise
We cannot send to certain locations that we need to, but with TransferWise we can.
Chose Wise
TransferWise was the only solution that we've found that will allow us to facilitate ACH payments that result in an overseas deposit. The fact that you can transfer money to TransferWise and that they can then make a local transfer is awesome. The fees are totally worth it with …
Chose Wise
We had used bank transfers for several years, but TransferWise outdoes them in almost all aspects. It leaves out most of the bureaucracy, and it is agile and much cheaper. Also, TransferWise reliably sends messages as each step of the transaction is completed. Perhaps …

Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
We agreed to select Xoom as the main payment method since it had more flexible options. It gives the user a full guarantee of transacting safely and when there is a conflict the customer support team acts quickly. The charges for sending and receiving money are relatively low …
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
We have not engaged in any other online payment service since we deployed Xoom. The performance and relations with the service provider have contributed to positive production. They do not share our company's financial information with any other institution. They regularly …
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
I have found xoom to be most efficient in terms of real time processing. The money gets deposited faster than any other service providers I have used. The exchange amount is quite competitive when compared with others and its association with Paypal provides an added layer of …

It was selected really because of the low expense.

We use PayPal for everything else. We have tried Western Union but the fees are very high and less transparent.
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
It is a safe and secure payment gateway that is available and accessible in almost every country in the world. Moreover, It is provided by a trusted company that is PayPal. You can accept/transfer money from any country directly into your bank account without any major glitches …
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
In my personal opinion, Xoom is tailored for bigger money transfers compared to Revolut or TransferWise. Depending on the currency and country where we are focusing, the cost of transferring money could be smaller with Xoom (mainly in the US) or actually similar/worst. In terms …
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
Xoom has similar features as Venmo and PayPal but it is more advanced and easier to use. There are more options and flexibility when it comes to Xoom compared to its competitors and it's backed by the reputation and name of PayPal which makes consumers trust it more.
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
Xoom has worldwide coverage - most of the competition doesn't. Also, converting currency is painful in other apps. If only the markup fees were lower, Xoom would be a killer service!
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
Our team has preferred Xoom because it is an efficient and safe way to transfer funds. We are able to be as detailed as necessary with every transaction, which gives us the confidence of knowing where our money is going. We appreciate the ease of use and the free initial …
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
For me, Xoom is the best tool to transfer and receive money because it's fast and secure and your recipients don't have to use Xoom. Besides, the transfer fees are generally good and I can pay my insurance bills.
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
Xoom was able to send money to countries that Wise could not.
Chose Xoom, a PayPal Service
Xoom is a PayPal administration, so you can have certainty that your beneficiaries in India will accept their cash. It is also mobile-friendly which makes it also user-friendly. And the customer support team is highly satisfactory.

Transferwise it is great for transferring money across countries (never for transfers within the same country) and when the countries in question use different currencies. It is very quick, especially if the amount is not big. For larger amounts, it would take longer so it would be good only if you are not time-constraint.

Xoom is best suited to send and receive money between two people who live in different countries, not only that we can also send money to our friends, colleagues, family members directly in their bank accounts. They have a great currency exchange functionality that directly converts our received money into our local currency, and deposits it into our bank account within a few minutes. The only drawback is that not many people know about it, it needs good marketing so that more people can use this service, and from my experience, I can say it is very secure and a good competitor of Payoneer.

Pros
  • Quick - because funds are transferred domestically, even when going international, you don't have to wait long.
  • Easy - the printout of what information I needed to give the sending bank was complete and easy to understand.
  • Affordable - the fees on both ends were minimal.

Cons
  • TransferWise (at the time of this review) does not allow one to transfer money to all kinds of business accounts. This can be a limitation for people who want to use it as a way to pay directly for goods and services.
  • Sometimes it has problems with some credit cards. But the most popular types are accepted without problems.
  • TransferWise accepts fewer currencies than other services. But it seems like this is a temporary problem, and the company is making efforts to support transferences to all of the currencies.

  • transfer fee could be waived for large transaction amount
  • They could offer referral for new users
  • the exchange rate, though quite competitive, but can be better specially for larger transactions

The implementation was largely successful. Since this was a large shift from normal practices, we faced a few teething problems, but largely I'd say it went well.

Transferwise account was easy to set up (within minutes), the admin fee is low and the pricing is very transparent (no hidden fee). Lastly, we needed a platform which is safe to use and we are happy to know that Transferwise is regulated by the MAS of Singapore.
