Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
Wayk Now was lacking as you might expect when it was released but it's now at the point where its caught up with competitor's products feature-wise. Also, Devolutions is a company I have used for years now starting with Remote Desktop Manager and as I've never had any issues …
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
Wayk Now has a smaller footprint and doesn't require signing to a licensing server.
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
Cost is much better than LogMeIn Pro (subscription based) with the same functionality and ease of use.
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
The product is still in evaluation, however, it is easier than VNC or Skype and cheaper than TeamViewer, so it seems to be in the lead. At this point, the main competition is from Skype because it is part of the Office 365 Suite anyway. So it is justifying the value over what …
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
RDM (Remote Desktop Manager) is our main remote connection application. Wayk Now, also from Devolutions, are a very well integrated with RDM and therefore it's a logical choice to also use Wayk Now.
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
Acts the same, small footprints so it does not hog resources. Personally I like Wayk since I love the Devolutions products. I also like how you can share resources, such as files and executables through the sessions. This makes troubleshooting and installing programs easier. …
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
Very lightweight, but very similar to TeamViewer in feel and look. Package is easy to share and start, UI is clean, but they are missing many features. This is not a real replacement for those other options right now, but since they release very rapidly, maybe it's already …
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
I think they're great tools also. But. Skype for Business, it's only for 365 users or, with external users, be prepared to download a nice 50Mb PLUGIN.... And TeamViewer, I think it's great, but lots of companies around the world block it thinking it's a malware, more than a …
Chose Wayk Bastion (Discontinued)
I tried out Wayk Now since I'm a user of Remote Desktop Manager and wanted to see how Wayk Now performs from the same company. We didn't evaluate any other products.

If you need a low-cost solution, that just works, Wayk Now is a great option. There are other options in the market, but most came with a huge install package or update every time it connects. Less appropriate I think, is when you already use some solution. If only because of the budget, maybe you need to make a better analysis of other products too.

Pros
  • Wayk Now makes it really easy to use by having only a few items in view.
  • It is fairly easy to configure and even allows connectivity through firewalls.
  • It maintains the connection, even over a relatively low bandwidth connection.

Cons
  • They don't have unattended access yet.
  • We don't like the feature where they can share their "number" and have someone not from the company access their computers.

Likelihood to Renew
Considering that Wayk Now comes in a free edition that can be used commercially, even if I wasn't to renew Wayk Now for whatever reason, I would still use it, but I do actually require the unattended access feature which is available for free now with the new free business licence.

Usability
I feel Wayk Now is very useable as it's still a very simple concept packaged basically the same way that the competition does with their remote assist type apps

Support Rating
My experience with their support is for a related product, not Wayk Now; however Devolutions support has always been superior to most regardless of the product being used. I left it at a 9 instead of a 10 simply because I haven't used it, but I would expect nothing less than a 10 from my experiences with RDM - both free and paid versions.

Alternatives Considered
Acts the same, small footprints so it does not hog resources. Personally I like Wayk since I love the Devolutions products. I also like how you can share resources, such as files and executables through the sessions. This makes troubleshooting and installing programs easier. This also allows techs to look at issues while having potential to have troubleshooting tips open on a second window.

Return on Investment
  • There is a no-cost version of the tool which has an immediate positive Return on Investment as it allows remote support users to efficiently assist users
