In short with Conga CLM, we’ve digitized the entire contract workflow. Helps with creation and negotiation to execution and renewal. Our legal and procurement teams now collaborate in real time using pre defined templates and clause libraries. Improved productivity and has great integration properties.

Pros

Integrates really well with Salesforce CRM and some other Microsoft office applications, ensuring seamless operations.
Process a overall end to end automation solution, speeding up the process and automating workflows.
Gives real-time connectivity in contacts with version control.

Cons

The UI can be better and more simplified in my opinion.
Mobile experience is pretty basic and isn't that much useful.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We often have contracts with vendors across multiple departments and with multiple POCs. Conga CLM helps to streamline all of these contracts and provides a "single-truth" platform where we can go to find out about previous contracts and enter new ones. It keeps the org on the same page, which ultimately drives revenue saving.

Pros

Supports many different types of contracts, from NDAs to vendor contracts.
The tool's ability to automate repetitive tasks in contract management (ie. filling out routine fields) save times.
The platform integrates well with platforms like DocuSign, etc.

Cons

Pricing is a bit difficult to make sense of, with multiple tiers/user configs
Advanced customization ability is somewhat limited, which makes some of the automated features of the platform less effective.

Conga CLM is well suited for organizations where contracts may be managed and signed in multiple departments/teams. It excels at both keeping orgs in sync cross-teams and also at automating functions related to contract management. Smaller orgs may not have as much use for the tool since contracts may be only managed by one team or there are not many contracts being utilized.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As all of our sales and contracting processes are through the Salesforce system with Conga CLM we are able to manage and keep customer data easily and track many components that are needed for various levels of the company.

Pros

Tracking and maintaining various levels of data throughout the contracting process
Our ability to do more redlining through the contracting process within the system.
Allowing for controls in generating documents

Cons

Some of the decisions that are made when creating an agreement can cause some questions or confusion, such as how configurations "save"
A better way to allow for revisions that transition forward (as we have written our own revision process.)

With having all of our contracting through the Salesforce system, the ability to allow our legal teams to do more with generating documents, have controls over redlines, etc is ideal. When sales needs to make additional revisions to the underlying data, however, it can be lacking in strong tools.

Conga CLM is the repository for our Product contracts for numerous segments within our organization. The CLM integrates with the CPQ to streamline document processing and saves time and fewer communication with the review and approval flows. it also provides necessary data that is used for reporting purposes that we didn’t previously have.

I would recommend the CLM as an excellent repository for agreements. The user experience is easy to learn and understand. You can track expirations, products and specific content that can be used by various stakeholders. Pros

contract requests by users, including attaching contract docs
automated contract workflows that can change based on type of contract, value of contract, etc.
eSignature integration with DocuSign. Docs are signed and uploaded automatically back to Conga.
Creation Templates are automated based on type of contract chosen. They automatically fill in information such as company names, dates and signatories.

Cons

AI functionality would be great to add to the Conga Contracts application.
more flexible workflows, where you can add a reviewer on the fly.
canned reporting - need to be created manually.

Most functions work but things are slow and less automated than CLM on the platform. We are still waiting on all of the functionality to be added to the CSM Advantage platform as well as the AI, before we migrate.

Cool features n contract creation, templates, red lines, negotiations, and adding up Clauses and approvals process in the contract negotiations. This has seems less contract updates and negotiation process. We are using CLM for generations contracts to sell our products and we have flexibility to amend contracts with wasy steps and the integrations help to sign the contracts

Conga CLM is widely used in many of the regions and BU.
One of the new business problem which we got is for the Chinese agreements, where we wish to have Chinese labels for the CLM UI, and Conga is not yet ready for it.
The other one for China is on their own database, which we would need to discuss with Conga team.

We are using Conga CLM to manage the Contracts Lifecycle of 24 Subsidiary companies within our strategic business unit. We are migrating thousands of records from legacy systems.

Pros

Through our custom wizard, new and infrequent users can easily enter new agreements.
Organization and layout of the agreements make it easy to find what you want quickly
Smart search is vitally important when going through thousands of legacy records.

Cons

Notifications should be easier to configure
we are always running up against the number of records that can be displayed (especially in accounts tab)
