we use Control-M for comprehensive batch scheduling and monitoring capabilities, we have used this tool to schedule multiple jobs of all PROD application groups. Use case: it detects arrival of files from various clients, processing them quickly to meet SLA and in this way it avoids penalty for late delivery and file processing and delivery to other clients which is time critical.

I will always recommend Control-M due to huge capacity of handle number of jobs. Things you can do with Control-M API, Capabilities to integrate tool with with orchestration tools like Osmosys/BigPanda/SNOW etc

Control-M runs all of our product, sales and distribution for all of North America. We typically run over 2,500 to 3,000 tasks per day. This keeps the business running accurately and efficiently. Without the use of Control-M's automation our IT Department would be tasked with executing multiple scripts/tasks all day and night. That would NOT be efficient!

I love to use the expression set it and forget it because once you have it you will be wishing that you had it sooner.

Control-M may not working well yet with some of the widely used tools like Snowflake, MuleSoft etc. Also, it may not be great for small organizations with tight budgets

Some jobs are scheduled to run at a specific time, others are triggered by a file arriving/being created. The jobs are configured to generate alerts if unsuccessful, and sometimes just send a message to confirm they are done.

Control-M is excellent for automating processes and and defining actions to take as a result of the job result. It works well across multiple servers, including those in Azure. Jobs can be defined and monitored by people who do not have deep technical expertise.

I can't think of a scenario that Control-M would not handle well.
