Cordial Messaging Platform Review
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
This is the email marketing platform we use to build and send our emails. It is primarily used by the marketing team but also used by our engineering department when new features are added.
Pros
- Provides helpful desktop and mobile previews.
- Sends emails reliably.
- Allows for pretty robust audience rules.
Cons
- Unreliable toggle between production and stage environment. Says it is in "Stage" when you are really in "production" and vice versa.
- Non-intuitive process/interface to search for "contact data".
- Poor process for getting Stage drafts into Production drafts. You essentially have to rebuild them which can introduce errors, rather than just an "export" feature that would move a draft automatically.
- Message reports will add/remove days when you select a time range and export a report. For example, if your custom date range is "March 1 - March 31" you will get something like "March 2- March 30" in your exported report. You have to overcompensate by using a range like "February 28 - April 1".
Likelihood to Recommend
HELPFUL:
- Adding browse events to our website and subsequent automated trigger emails.
- A/B testing on subject lines for automated templates.
- Scheduling emails in the user's time zone.
NOT HELPFUL:
- A/B testing on subject lines for batch (manual) messages.
- Sending to users based on their optimal email open patterns.
- Stage vs Production interaction.
