Currently it is being used for the standard HR use cases Success factors offers out of the box. We have been developing some custom use cases with the skills and agent builder in Joule Studio as a part of the beta program.

Joule will be well suited when an employee or user is already in the SAP landscape. There needs to be a broader strategy and arrangement with other engagement layer applications like Teams and Service now where Joule may not be the orchestrator.

Implemented Joule for SuccessFactors and it has really enriched the user experience.

Employee/Manager use cases

Joule can be used for creating lots of reports, koi and dashboard. Can be used to create automations.

We use a unique Joule agent built in SAP's Agent Builder. This agent uses data stored by SAP in Hana Cloud to give us insights on two esport titles that we play at the highest level. So far that data had to be searched through manually, but now Joule can do it super quickly for us through a simple chat window! Truly groundbreaking for the world of competitive gaming (esports).

In our line of work, we need access to specific answers to specific questions daily in an ever-changing environment. We have all the data at our fingertips but it is difficult in a very short amount of preparation time to find the right data points. Joule will change the game for us in terms of match preparation, analysis of communication, detection of patterns and more.
Joule is not (yet) suited for strategic decision making but can give elements that we can use to do that.

We have a manual journal posting and reconciliation process, but with Joule, we have fully automated this process. The automation of PR to PO and its approvals has been simplified using Joule, saving an average of 70 hours of manual work each week. Additionally, we have streamlined the vendor onboarding process by using Joule to validate against a compliance tool and to set the embargo status where applicable.

For automation of supply chain process, ease of approvals workflows.

SAP Joule helps us enabling AI in ERP system. Joule is used as a Assistance for the business users and as code assistance for developers as well. Currently it is at very early stage but we are keep looking for the enhancements in this area.

For Development using Joule is improving very well. Lot of improvement is still needed. Joule is only available in BTP right now but we are looking forward to use Joule in our RISE environment. Businss AI with Joule is also improving. More and more apps are supported. But to make best use, we need more supported apps and custom app support.

We use Joule as our agentic AI for just about everything we use SAP for: Supply Chain Management, Customer Experience, Financial Management, et cetera. We use it where ever we can. It helps us to make reports and understand information quickly and easily and efficiently. It really is used a lot.

It's particularly well suited for areas of financial insights. We are able to understand how we are doing from quarter to quarter and to understand where there are inconsistencies and where that might come from. It makes it much easier than to have a human pour through data and understand the nuances of the data.

Automatic GL Coding for invoices. Using Joule to determine the type of GL Code, how those invoices have been coded and the approval structure in the past and applying this with accuracy
