We use Litmos to host both our mandatory compliance training and non-mandatory development training. We are also starting to use Litmos for onboarding purposes. Litmos allows us to manage completion through reports, and we utilise the compliance settings on courses to trigger when a user is due to complete the training again. We have 8000 colleagues, and all are registered on Litmos.
Pros
Content Author.
Litmos Assign Rules.
Inhouse compliance training.
Cons
Although the Litmos assign rule is excellent, it would be great to have an unassign rule to remove users from courses.
The Learner Dashboard - courses aren't displayed in due date order.
Only one field for a line manager.
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos is well-suited to us, as it has an inbuilt content author tool, and we're able to utilize many of its features, such as Litmos assign rules. However, there are some drawbacks, such as the limitation to only one line manager field per colleague. This means we don't utilise the notification emails on courses, as we would want the emails to go to two managers for colleagues.

We use it as our LMS, offering virtual learning via their library and to host company-specific training. Our company is spread out over multiple locations so being able to offer training in this manner is beneficial on a number of fronts
Pros
Ease of navigation
large virtual library of varying content
Cons
possibly that all courses may not be offered in all of the languages that we need. We are new users and have not faced that yet...

We use Litmos to deploy training across our organization. Litmos has provide us with a solution to train our employees quickly and in an efficient manner. It is perfect as it has a large library of classes, and we are able to quickly add our own training. It has saved us time and money!
Pros
Ease of Access
User friendly
Easy implementation
Large library of classes
Cons
Limited classes in some languages
Custom reports
Likelihood to Recommend
We need a solution that gave us instant access to classes in multiple languages and Litmos was the only solution that met our immediate needs. Additionally, we love the ability to add a class or presentation easily to broadcast to large group. We are using it for decentralized organization, so it allows us a quick solution that is easy to use.

Litmos is the primary learning management system for our entire organization (support functions, sales and operations). Litmos allows us to provide training, e-learning and record retention. We also use the Litmos content author tool to develop some SCORM training modules.
Pros
Record retention
Learner navigation
Multiple levels of admin view
Cons
Compliance settings
Reporting and dashboards
Customer support
Technical troubleshooting
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos is good for office workers who can complete training on laptops. Litmos is not good for remote workers or line/manufacturing workers who are not technological savvy. There are a lot of challenges with the tool for people who do not operate computers often. Litmos is good for on-demand optional training. Litmos does not do well for customization of required compliance training based on timing, audiences or other more unique and complex circumstances typical of large complex operations.
Overall, I've found Litmos to be very intuitive. Unlike other platforms, Litmos has a wide and varied choice of editing tools, data management, and analytical functions that prove its reputation in the marketplace. Litmos does what it says on the tin and more.
Pros
Content creation is quick and easy.
It accepts a wide variety of file types and sizes.
Extremely customizable to suit small and large organisations.
Cons
Most modules must be no more than 1 GB, but I'm greedy and always want bigger file size allowances, especially when using video content!
This would be a more user-friendly function when altering the platform's branding, as not everyone knows HTML code, etc.
I always like to have more content functions, i.e., more ways to create present content. But to be fair, Litmos does have a surprisingly wide range. This means you don't have to go out and buy an additional content creator when you're just starting out.
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos is very easy to use and gets content published quickly. It also has many different ways of displaying the content, keeping your learner engaged with lots of variety.

Docebo Learning Platform and Talent.com
You save money by not having to buy an additional content creation package like some other platforms. You don't have to be a professional content creator to master Litmos, whereas other platforms aren't so obvious in their functionality.
We use Litmos as an external learning tool. Our dealers use it to understand troubleshooting equipment, the basics of electrical work, and hydraulics.
Pros
Easy to Use Course Set Up.
Easy to Use User Entry.
Easy to Use Content Authoring Tool.
Cons
The team functionality is a good concept but can be quite cumbersome.
The basic reporting function is great but hard to get exactly what you need from it.
Changing anything related to the background, etc., requires someone who knows HTML formatting, which is usually an IT function.
The idea of brands is good; we will use it to have a different face for external and internal use. However, having a content library per brand would be great instead of building a new team. If we separate everything with a brand, then content should be included.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is great if you are looking for a fast and easy-to-use system. It is easy to create courses and enter users. Less appropriate would be the more complex situations where you have different types of users who need different interfaces and different content.

Employee in Human Resources (Machinery company, 51-200 employees)
We use Litmos as our learning platform for compliance, on the job training and professional development. It pairs well with translation and voice over products that allow us to address language and learning challenges with our team whose first language is not English. We have seen a much greater retention rate by having training modules in their first language.
Pros
Creation of your own training modules is very easy
Automatic reminders of due dates
Grouping by employee type allows for assigning modules in groups
Conducting surveys of your employee groups
Providing a vast library of course to choose from
Cons
Containing their own capability for language translation
Containing their own capability for Voice over in multiple languages
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos is great for a multitude of uses. It is great to create and house your own training modules. Compliance modules, such as Harassment Prevention courses or Ethics courses. Many of the professional development courses are very brief, so perhaps having some hearty higher-level courses would be nice. Also, having more advanced Excel or PowerPoint courses would be beneficial.

Director in Human Resources (Aviation & Aerospace company, 201-500 employees)
We use Litmos for delivery of both technical or compliance eLearning that we make and track off-the-shelf eLearning that we buy from LinkedIn learning. Primarily it meets the need of tracking internally for our company and is accommodating some of the external tracking through the LRS.
Pros
Litmos is simple and straightforward for learners to use
Litmos' look and feel are highly customizable through javascript and stylesheets
Litmos' API is fairly easy to use and complete
Litmos makes launching and deploying training in the field and the office easy and quick
Cons
Litmos' email automation leaves a lot to be desired. When using SAML single sign on, a user can forward a reminder email to a colleague and it will include the link for _their_ training, if the recipient completes the training it report as being completed by the sender.
Litmos' functionality around assessments is terrible. It is impossible to give partial or weighted credit for a question during marking. It's impossible to undo a mistake in marking or go back to the question. Hotspot questions are not worth using. Learners entering a test again after completing but before marking is done will erase their attempt's ability to be marked. There is more that is just unacceptable here. We make tests using microsoft forms because it's easier and more accessible.
Many group admins are also learners, and will so infrequently use their admin portals, that they should not default to admin.
We have imports from our HR platform to Litmos, which is convenient. Occasionally someone gets set up twice, which is a problem with the intergration or stuff that helpdesk does. However, merging two learner records should not be a huge hassle of enumerating all of the courses and manually marking them complete. There should be a way to do this in the software.
Reporting in general leaves a great deal to be desired. There should be some more controls for xAPI/tincan modules that allow us to customize the level of tracking there. Articulate Rise uses a manifest that gives the LMS what it needs to integrate, why can't we see interaction data from the eLearning there like we could with LRS statements? If I make a storyline block or have a rise interaction, I should be able to see all the elements folks click and what they get hung up on.
Litmos should support standard Training and L&D measurement frameworks. There's no reason we shouldn't at least be able to have a dashboard for a course that includes survey data, assessments, boosts, and maybe a manual place to put in business impact KPIs. Think kirkpatrick/Phillips ROI.
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos suits us for internal customers, but I cannot imagine using it for external customers. There just isn't enough here to justify the per user cost if so much extra work is required to track an individual's journey or the effectiveness of a whole course.

Project Manager in Human Resources (Automotive company, 501-1000 employees)
Litmos is used as a primary learning management system to provide online learning to team members. This includes all support functions, operations and sales teams. The content is primarily safety and compliance training but over time we have also increased on-demand personal development content. With onboarding occurring often it's important that some content be available on-demand and easily accessible via computer or phone. Further, we need to have compliance for annual training requirements and Litmos offers that as well.
Pros
Easy to copy, mirror or link courses depending on how the content should be connected between different use cases.
Content authoring tool allows for nice content without too much trouble.
Support success team is accessible and supportive.
Cons
Account manager turnover creates trouble establishing strong and supportive relationships. The account managers are not technical support either.
Technologically not intuitive. It takes months of time and practice to effectively administer content.
No way to present material classroom style for larger training sessions.
Likelihood to Recommend
Litmos is great for sales team members and people who use computers often. Litmos is not good for manufacturing team members who do not use computers often or have easy access to emails. The platform offers good content authoring but getting used to the system can take a great amount of time. If a resource is not fully dedicated it is hard to be successful. Reporting is very old and there are no easy view access charts that can help provide support for reviewing content and completions.
Alternatives
Alchemy
Litmos is better for working professionals (i.e. sales and support functions). Alchemy is far better for operations. Litmos is the current platform and switching will be very tricky but ultimately the solution will not work across the entire business.
