Pros
Highly effective at not slowing down the computer: Users have consistently praised Malwarebytes for its ability to provide robust protection against malware without causing any slowdowns or interference with other programs. Many reviewers have stated that they appreciate this aspect of the software, making it a standout feature.
Easy to update and install: Reviewers have found Malwarebytes to be user-friendly when it comes to updates. They mention that the software provides clear indications when updates are available and makes it easy to install them with just a few clicks. This streamlined process ensures that users can keep their system protected without any hassle.
Allows users to decide how to deal with threats: A notable advantage of Malwarebytes is its flexibility in dealing with identified threats. Users appreciate that they are given options on how to handle potential dangers, such as quarantining all or selectively removing them. This level of control empowers users and allows them to tailor their security measures according to their needs.
We regularly use Malwarebytes to clean up stations throughout our organization or to diagnose issues if we start encountering unusual behavior, especially with browsers or on the internet. The scan has proven useful, but doesn't always catch everything, notably rootkits.
Pros
Finding malware.
Finding trojans or viruses.
Locating and fixing registry hacks.
Cons
The program is vast, and it is a resource hog on older machines; it can cripple internet and remote desktop usage.
Business pricing is egregious compared to personal use.
The program should offer a choice between always running in the background and running on an as-needed basis.

Now, I gave it that rating because it's a handy tool for diagnosing issues. Quarantining them, and most of the time, it does fix the problem. Though with rootkits, it's been hit or miss, and sometimes perfectly valid software gets flagged erroneously. However, once you've run it, it tends to run continuously, consuming far too many resources and being a real pain to uninstall, sometimes even causing issues.
We use the Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business. It is installed on all of our company computers as well as some servers. We use the enterprise addition to help us keep track of all computers and protect us against any security threats since we are a software company.
Pros
The Enterprise console manager is very nice
Very easy to install
Very light program
Logging is great
Cons
A better UI
More solutions for data security
Have an email logging mechanism to send system admin alerts for any computers in the fields with threats
Likelihood to Recommend
Malwarebytes is great for any size company. We are a small company and it works well with us. Each user was easily able to install the software and get it registered. If you are a very large company, you may look into a better enterprise security software that can give you more controls and options.
The free version of Malwarebytes is part of an effective suite used to clean an infected PC and/or determine if the PC has been compromised. The paid version is a bit more proactive and can prevent malware. However, my main use case has been in the case of confirmation and cleanup of already compromised systems.
Pros
Efficient targeted scans
Cleanup of malware and adware
Cons
Have run into one or two infections in the past that it had trouble removing once detected
No individual anti-malware is perfect in my experience - I have certainly found infections it could not detect
Updates in the free version were not always smooth and/or quick
Likelihood to Recommend
Great as part of a suite for detection and cleanup of infections. Fairly low-profile and runs efficiently in my experience. A very good start for you in-depth cleanup.
I would not suggest relying on Malwarebytes alone as your security system. No individual free A/V software that I have found is 100% enough for prevention, detection and effective cleanup.
We use malwarebytes MSP as part of our managed IT services. It helps provide an additional layer of security for our clients. We use it in conjunction with Bitdefender Cloud Security MSP edition. It provides the additional hardening of the Windows OS from exploits not done by traditional antivIrus and antimalware solutions.
Pros
Harden Windows systems
Reduce the attack, surface of Windows systems
Proivdes an additonal antimalware support
Cons
Configuration of the MSP edition is a little clunky.
MSP edition is not the latest version.
UI alerts are given to the end user and not forwarded to the central admin console.

Malware bytes is well suited for most Windows users. it requires little configuration. It is not well suited for Windows servers, or software development workstations.
