This is our main customer data platform where we funnel multiple data sources into specific downstream tools/platforms.
Pros
- Ease of setting up connections
- Consistent data flow
- No missing data issues
Cons
- Support - often times it feels like they're trying to create a sales opportunity rather than actually provide support - whether it's technical or non-technical.
- Some connection setups are not as consistent with respect to the procedure of setting up the connection, e.g. setting user identities in Braze.
- Audiences...definitely not as robust as Amplitude
Likelihood to Recommend
mParticle is very well suited for a company trying to funnel data without creating its own proprietary data pipeline/infrastructure.
Alternatives
Amplitude Analytics
We are definitely aware of Amplitude CDP and how they are constantly making updates to their CDP to make it better. If their offerings are a lot better than mParticle's, it might make sense to jump ship to Amplitude since we already use them for Analytics anyway.
