Pros
Easy-to-use Platform: Users have consistently found Photobucket to be an easy-to-use platform for photo-sharing and embedding across multiple platforms. The user-friendly interface and quick photo uploads have been highly appreciated, with many users mentioning that they were able to have their accounts up and running within minutes. Some users also liked the fact that Photobucket offers the option to edit images within the platform, making it convenient for those who don't have other image editing software.
Free Photo Sharing: One of the most praised aspects of Photobucket is its free ability to share photos on various websites and forums. Many users have appreciated this feature, as it allows them to easily showcase their photos without any additional cost. This has been particularly beneficial for individuals on a budget or those who simply want a hassle-free way to share their pictures online.
Storage and Backup Options: Users have valued the storage options provided by Photobucket. They appreciate being able to upgrade storage size based on their needs, allowing them to quickly open an account regardless of their budget constraints. Additionally, some users mentioned that Photobucket serves as a reliable backup solution for their photos, providing peace of mind in case of computer or external hard drive issues.
When bandwidth was a lot more expensive, Photobucket, with [its] generous bandwidth capacity, allowed us to keep our cloud hosting bandwidth usages under control and offload samples of work and other media onto Photobucket servers. This was especially useful as the business was just getting started, and we needed to ensure our expenses were streamlined as much as possible.
Pros
Photo specific-features and better UI for sharing photos vs. other cloud storage providers
Unlimited plan is still generously priced
the "1" in the classic 3-2-1 backup plan that is easy to use
Good for beginners
Cons
Plans are awkwardly priced compared to competitors
[In my opinion,] made shady practices in the past forcing users to their premium plans

Photobucket used to be great in the late 2000s to early 2010s. Even free account holders could enjoy many of its features and quickly and easily share photos. However, these days there are so many better alternatives, while Photobucket's feature set has been limited to premium and higher-tier accounts. Cloud storage providers now offer generous bandwidth caps, so offloading media is a thing of the past - even for the most budget-conscious freelancers. Photo-specific features provided by these service providers are constantly improving. [...] As time goes on, the list of reasons that used to differentiate Photobucket grows thin given their [in my experience,] shady past in holding photos hostage without a premium plan, I can no longer recommend this service. Price-wise, only their unlimited plan is worth considering since, for capped storage plans, the usual suspects (Apple iCloud, Google Photos, Amazon Prime) have them beat. Likewise, Photobucket's built-in image editor is very convenient for making basic changes without having to fire up a separate photo editor
I had my own photography company (still do occasionally) for quite some time and Photobucket was a simple way that I could take all of my photos and upload them in one place and then allow my clients to view them and download them from there. I could control what access they had and it kept things organized and transparent for them. It was pretty simple and straightforward.
Pros
Houses very large photos that I don't have the capacity to store on my computer
Allows for a great online backup just in case something happens with my computer or external hard drive
Allows me to quickly and easily share photos with clients after their photoshoot is done
Organizes photos into a streamlined setup
Cons
It's honestly pretty straight forward for what I use it for. No complaints here.

I can see this being useful for a lot of different scenarios. A professional photographer could use it to store and share photos with clients. They could also use it to share their work on social media if they do photography for the sale of prints. An individual could use it to store all of the family photos that they don't have room for on their phone or computer so they don't have to delete any to save space. They could share it with family and friends via Photobucket or via social media. It isn't a feature I use but you can even turn photos into gifts for friends and family. It is a paid service so I'd say if the extra storage isn't needed or you don't have a lot of photos to store it may not be for you, but anyone else could benefit from at least 1 or 2 of the offerings.
