Perfect Pipedrive!

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a sales director I use to forecast deals and update with pertinent information for me and my team. We also use to track activity, follow up and to process won opportunities for the org.

Pros

  • Ease of Use
  • Deal Management
  • Deal Room

Cons

  • Reporting
  • Integrations
  • Customer Renewal Management

Likelihood to Recommend

I think for an SMB company that is growing with a few dozen sales folks Pipedrive is a great solution. I think as the company scales Pipedrive could do a bit better with reporting and dashboarding to pull analytics together for the Sales & Ops folks.

Alternatives

Formstack for Salesforce and Sugar Connect
Overall compared to SFDC and other CRM tools Pipedrive stacks up very well when it comes to ease of use and usability. It needs a bit better more robust reporting compared to some of the other tools. But for the cost and value provides I'd rank Pipedrive very highly in comparison on ROI.

Best tool to start on CRM Management

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used this to manage the company's customers, and the results were awesome. Before using it, the sales team saved all the customers' information in a notebook. This wasn't efficient, so I decided to change the game rules, and we increased our productivity quickly. This is a powerful tool for your sales team. Completely recommended.

Pros

  • Manage clients
  • Send emails and files
  • Track activities of sales reps and customers
  • View reports and know how to improve and optimize

Cons

  • They can add more features to another areas like mkt and customer service

Likelihood to Recommend

You can use this tool to move all your contacts, companies and leads and give them follow up to all the activities you have to do before and during your pipeline. You can use it to track and see what your sales reps are doing and where can improve the services. You can’t use it to marketing campaigns and you can’t send massive emails like in Mailchimp

Alternatives

HubSpot CRM
It is easier to use and more specific. I think HubSpot has a lot and can be overwhelming or confusing at the start. It is cheaper, and the automation is easier to configure. I think it is a better option to start with Pipedrive software. Try it and check for yourself.

Pipedrive is great!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We've been using Pipedrive since 2015. We are less than 10 users who work with the software. It is very user friendly and has everything we need, activity tracker, integration with other software we use, drag and drop features that ease modifications on our end, etc. For the asking price, we are very satisfied and do not intend on changing.

Pros

  • Lead information gathering
  • Activity tracking
  • Integration with PandaDoc is easy and practical

Cons

  • The new user interface is not necessarily an improvement
  • Postal codes are not generated automatically in the address field
  • Can sometimes be a little slow

Likelihood to Recommend

Pipedrive works best for small to medium sized teams. It has many easy-to-use features and offers great value for the asking price. I am not certain that Pipedrive is suited for larger enterprises (100+ employees) as some features are more on the basic/simple side and perhaps a custom CRM would be more appropriate.

Alternatives

Zoho CRM
I much prefer the interface of Pipedive when compared to Zoho. Much more user friendly and the team is always readily available when we need them. Pipedrive allowed for many custom integrations to be added, as Zoho was a tad more complicated to manipulate. We would not go back to Zoho in any case.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Pipedrive as our CRM for an employee recognition software startup. It was mostly used by sales though other departments had access to it as well. Our goal was to find an economical and easy to use CRM that can scale as the team grows. Daily activity includes calling, emailing, and progressing deals.

Pros

  • Easy to see your deal activity at a glance.
  • Importing wasn't great but better than other systems I've used.
  • They started making progress on built VOIP calling

Cons

  • Support was very poor. It was hard to track conversations and the agents weren't knowledgeable.
  • We had lots of problems with integrations
  • Price kept on rising.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you can can use the basic version, it may be okay for a small business. It certainly doesn't scale well at bigger orgs. I'd recommend Hubspot to any smaller org and SFDC for anyone bigger.

Alternatives

HubSpot CRM
I'm a huge fan of Hubspot. It is more aligned with how most salespeople work than any other CRM out there. It's modern enough that you don't have to spend hours trying to figure out how to do things. While they continue to raise the price, it is still a great value.

Suitable for small teams with low budget.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Pipedrive is used by our Enterprise Sales team in our company. We have two types of customers, value and volume. The value side of the sales business is managed in Pipedrive.

Pros

  • The platform is easy to use and user-friendly.
  • Moderate prices.
  • Functional mobile application.

Cons

  • Limited functionality. Not suitable for large sales teams and big operations.
  • Standalone sales process management and CRM. There are no built-in marketing tools.
  • There are no built-in contract management tools.

Likelihood to Recommend

Pipedrive is used by our Enterprise Sales team in our company. We have two types of customers: value and volume. The value side of the sales business is managed in Pipedrive. The Enterprise Sales team is relatively small in its number of people, and consists of 30% of our sales operations. In this scenario, Pipedrive is very suitable.

Alternatives

Pipedrive is an alternative to Salesforce. However, Salesforce is a much more sophisticated platform containing support and marketing features as well. Pipedrive is suitable for small teams and operations that are not necessarily needing built-in contracting, marketing, or support tools.

The right sales CRM for a smaller business looking to scale its Sales management and organization.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Pipedrive to track account manager sales and training contacts as well as sales manager accounts and contacts. We've found it to be integral in our goal of reaching new accounts and maintaining contact with an ever-growing client base. In order for us to scale, we needed the organization and accountability among those teams, and Pipedrive was a key to that scalability.

Pros

  • Extremely intuitive and clean user interface. There aren't a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles involved.
  • Dashboard features were perfect for tracking numerous sales pipelines.
  • Reporting features were easy to use and highly customizeable.

Cons

  • Phone carrier integration would be helpful.
  • Calendar syncing features could be improved.
  • Ability to track more activity types.

Likelihood to Recommend

Pipedrive is excellent for small companies where pipeline management and organization may have taken a back seat to concentrating on current sales opportunities. As client bases grow, the need for proper pipeline management and organization increases, and in our case, Pipedrive was the perfect compliment to our needs and ability to scale the business.

Alternatives

HubSpot CRM
Pipedrive is more expensive but does all of the following better: Data import and export is simple, you can efficiently manage your company’s sales pipeline, and it offers full sales management features. Ultimately, the full feature set is what we needed at that point in time for our business.

Pipedrive for Sales Team

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Pipedrive to measure our sales team's pipeline activity and metrics. We check it on a weekly basis in our sales meeting to forecast for the week, month, quarter, and year. Pipedrive allows us to easily view all sales team members pipelines, opportunities won, and opportunities created in a given time frame.

Pros

  • Dashboards are easy to view
  • Reporting is great
  • Easy to toggle between sales team members

Cons

  • Could be easier to navigate
  • Reporting can miss things easily
  • UI could use update

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for sales teams, not applicable to any teams outside of sales.

A great tool for early stage companies.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Pipedrive is currently used by our sales and marketing department. Sales uses it for pipeline tracking, customer appointments information adding, and tracking proposals. Our marketing teams use Pipedrive for data collection, interpretation, and email marketing campaigns. It has solved the problem of inputting and managing our customer data so that we have it centralized along with our close ration, and monthly revenue.

Pros

  • Pipeline tracking
  • Sales close ratios
  • Customer information and data collection

Cons

  • It doesn't plug in to other SAAS devices well.
  • The functionality is limited in certain areas.
  • It's a great tool for small businesses, but as we scaled

Likelihood to Recommend

Pipedrive was awesome for us to use in our infancy. It was easy to use, low maintenance and we were able to add users quickly. As we scaled and added our marketing department the functionality of the system was not ideal for the plugins that we needed from other SAAS based products. For a very small company it's great, but as you need marketing plugins it gets harder to get the usage out of it that you need.

Alternatives

We selected Pipedrive because it was easy to use and cost effective for our needs. It was the first CRM that we used and had a small learning curve for myself as an administrator and our users when we needed to add them. It served its purpose and helped us when we needed to centralize our contacts and date.

The right sales CRM for a business who is just outgrowing a spreadsheet.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Pipedrive to track my sales pipeline. Right now, as the sole salesperson, I am the only user on the app. It has helped give us immediate visibility of our prospects, all the way through the sales process, along with estimates of possible incoming revenue and timing. It has completely organized and simplified a previously very cumbersome and chaotic process.

Pros

  • Dashboard: their dashboard is very well designed to give the right mix of simplicity and information density. I can see all my current prospects, at various stages, and know who, at a glance, I need to get back in touch with to keep the process moving
  • Revenue forecasting - Their estimation tools give me some very real and accurate data (combined with my knowledge of my market and product, etc...) that helps me understand at any given point my range of potential income based on the current sales process
  • Integrations - Pipedrive integrates well with our support system

Cons

  • Post-sales client relationship management - once a client is through the sales process, the app becomes irrelevant with regard to that client. I need a separate management system for current clients.

Likelihood to Recommend

Pipedrive seems very well suited to a small business with a multi-role salesperson. I'm not sure how well it would scale to a larger enterprise. But for a small business who needs to get away from managing sales leads through email and spreadsheets, and is not needing a enterprise solution like Salesforce, Pipedrive is the right solution.

Alternatives

Insightly and Agile CRM
Pipedrive is a lightweight tool, both in terms of price, and features. This means that it is easy to use and not very expensive. Other apps had unwieldy interfaces, or too deep a feature set (which corresponded to higher costs.). Pipedrive was the the right level of tool for our business.

Easy-to-use CRM for small companies.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since incorporating Pipedrive into my company's list of tools, we've found it to be integral in our goal of reaching new wholesale accounts and remaining in conversation with them. It's easy to forget to send a follow-up email to a potential account and lose track of the status of every individual you've been in touch with. The pipelines help keep every account in the appropriate categories so that I know what the appropriate action should be next time I open Pipedrive.

Pros

  • I like the clean, minimal layout of the Pipedrive interface. I find it easy to navigate and very user-friendly. The concept itself is one that is strong and it's made my job of keeping track of hundreds of wholesale accounts and potential accounts much easier. The ability to schedule detailed follow-ups for every wholesale account really keeps me on top of my communication goals.
  • The ability to see a snapshot of your ongoing transactions through the dashboard. Every time you complete a task, it asks to feed in the next task for that transaction. This way you are less likely to be distracted from the deal that you in middle of.
  • Mail templates feature is another additional benefit to full email sync in the Gold Version. The ability to see who's clicked on the links is standard now a days but Pipedrive handles it well.

Cons

  • I feel that Pipedrive can do some more work around enabling sales teams to actually get going out of the box with recommend deal flows and processes.
  • I also think that simple changes like including both a delineated first and last name out of the box are quick changes that would add alot of value for practical reasons.
  • Irrespective of what platform you use, it is better to use a trial and implement the product and check how the product meets the requirements. PipeDrive has a good trial plan and their sales team will assist you to set up the platform.

Likelihood to Recommend

They find it really easy to fill in details and track their deals which means they actually use the software, giving the rest of our organization far more insight into our sales process. Also, the great way that it integrates with tools like PandaDoc has saved us hours and hours of time previously spent on quotes, proposals, etc. giving us more time to spend on growing the company.
