We use it to embed onto our website for client-facing reporting and internal reporting for our teams that need to see our Sigma data but don't have access to our database. The client-facing reporting is being used to show customers specific data they want to see, but we don't want to give them Sigma access.
Pros
Having different options for tables and their formatting.
Data connection and keeping up to date.
Having presets that are easy for other people to use.
Cons
The errors that happen when the exporting comes.
Making the embedding documentation clearer and more concise.
Input tables being able to work as a regular table.
Likelihood to Recommend
Sigma computing is great for customers looking for easy BI solutions that offer various ways to show reporting for their company. It doesn't work for customers looking for much more in-depth and aesthetically severe reporting. Like the layering that Tableau offers and the very specific changes you can make to graphs.

I use Sigma Computing to find patterns in my data and create dashboards to strategize business decisions based on my analysis. I enjoy using Sigma Computing because of the flexibility it gives me to share my dashboards with other users and allow them to edit or view them as well.
Pros
Customer Technical Support (Sigma Help)
Addressing feedback from users (implementing requested features)
Providing demo's on new product launches
Cons
Sometimes my dashboard crashes if there are too many pages on it
Ability to share dashboards externally (I'd like to add some to my public portfolio like I do with Tableau)
Likelihood to Recommend
Sigma Computing is very beginner friendly because of their technical support team, leveraging this at the beginning of my Sigma journey was immensely helpful. Even today, where I am more comfortable with Sigma i'll run into an issue and their support team will always be there to walking me through a solution. I also think it's easier to make more cohesive and clean dashboards on Sigma Computing.

Sigma is the hub for all of our organizations reporting and dashboarding needs. We use it for everything from quick questions about our data, to advanced analysis and projections. As a small data team, I use Sigma daily to create workbooks and answer questions of my internal team. Sigma's workbook functionality is some of the best I've seen in any BI tool. Advanced questions that would involve complicated query writing are very fast to develop in Sigma's formula and table editors.
Pros
Interactive workbooks
Data Table development
Data Table reusability
Cons
Document based report development
Theming and styling
Visualization types offered
Likelihood to Recommend
I have recommended Sigma to colleagues who are looking for a BI tool that is hosted and who are utilizing Snowflake. While I think Sigma could be good for analysis purposes for any organization, if the consumption of the reports is primarily focused around interactive dashboards, I think it is a very good fit.
I would not recommend Sigma for organizations that have requirements for document based reports.

We use Sigma to build data visualizations for our data warehouse. It allows us to consolidate information and build analysis tools such as reports and charts that empower our teams in their decisions making process.
Pros
Charts
Reporting
Data Analysis
Decision Making Tools
Cons
Pricing
UI is intuitive but powerful features require deeper knowledge of SQL
Likelihood to Recommend
Whenever there’s data that need to be analyzed, visualized or simply aggregated in a pivot table, Sigma is the perfect tool for the job: it helps build rich data dashboards, including charts, tables, colors and more. It connects with several alternatives of external sources such as Google BigQuery, Google Drive, other database engines or tabular data files.
Provide self service data solutions to internal and external users. Dashboards to provide insights to internal teams like ops, sales, marketing, finance etc. Also have dashboards for external customers to understand their business with us.
Pros
Export function in Sigma Computing is amazing.
Speed compare to tableau
easy to get started for non technical users
release updates all the time
Love the live chat function
Cons
some new features are released with a log of bugs
aesthetically not as good as some of the competitors
not addressing open requests fast enough. or at least provide some updates
Likelihood to Recommend
overall I love Sigma Computing. due to the price, I don't think I will recommend to any company that's smaller in size and doesn't have a huge budget for software purchases

Sigma Computing makes it much easier for us to analyze data from your software. It is an easy-to-use solution and with very good technical support, they are always at your disposal. We are a company that sells short-term rental data and using their software has made it a lot easier for us to develop tools.
Pros
Tech support - they are always there for you.
Ease of use - it is really intuitive what each tool they provide does. They also provide multiple tools depending on the needs of their users.
Great documentation - most of the times I've had a doubt about how to do something, their docs are good enough to answer those questions.
Cons
Solve the tickets quicker - they fix bugs or add features from users feedback

If you have a large data warehouse and want to build tools from this data, Sigma Computing is a great tool to achieve this quickly and efficiently. It's easy to implement in your codebase if needed and it's really versatile. I think the best scenario for using Sigma Computing is when you strictly want to focus on your data treatment and processing rather than on user interfaces, so if this is what you are looking for, this is a great tool.

Integrates well with our Data warehouse (Snowflake)
Cons
I would like to see a single sign on support for Snowflake to control column level access from Snowflake.

I had an issue with some object that were deleted and still showing in a Dashboard, they replied to me with a working solution in less than one minute, and that is just amazing.
Sigma Computing is used for all of our reporting and analytics in the organization. It is used daily by many users in the company to track KPIs and other more detailed facets of the business as well. Sigma is also used for external presentations and leave behinds for our teams.
Pros
Data focused presentation
Drill down capability
Basic visualizations
Cons
Pixel perfect reporting
Multi user editing
Likelihood to Recommend
Sigma has been great for reproducing that "spreadsheet" experience for users with appropriate user license levels (explorer and above). It is lacking in the ability to create pixel perfect reporting and branded solutions out of the box. We have done lots of customization with plug ins to create exactly the visualizations and branded information we want to present.

I use Sigma to build debugging tools to check the configuration and metadata input by Ops and Customers. I am quite proficient in writing SQL and query data, but not everyone is. It's really handy and let people use the tools so that they can figure out the issue on their own, instead of leveraging engineers time.
I like the conditional highlight feature.
I like the flexibility I can change the width and height of the widget.
I constantly update the dashboard so I'd like to see version somewhere in the view.
The query is a bit slow but I don't know if that's Sigma's issue or the query engine we are leveraging on.
Pros
flexibility change the UI layout
clear permission level
Cons
a bit slow (updating the permission view, query, changing the tabs)
Likelihood to Recommend
well suited: - building tools and be available for non-engineers
less appropriate - just for analysis purpose. Jupyter is probably better tool. The main reason is Sigma takes quite a few steps to add a UI module. There is a learning curve for beginner in my opinion. - i don't see a lot of charts support compared to similar products

We use Sigma to easily mockup new visualizations, metrics and full dashboards for clients who use our marketplace platform. This way the business development team can work on new client analytics features without software development team resources. Once the features are tested and approved by the client in Sigma, we can refine them & add them to our own analytics platform, confident that they're exactly what our clients need!
Pros
Easy to learn
Plug n Play
Great Customer Support Staff
Cons
Prettier visualizations & aesthetics for sharing externally
More visualization options (heat maps especially)
Some menus are hard to find, very small buttons that lead to features that aren't accessible from other places.
Have to ask support where to find features, help docs are often not for the version/exact product you're using.
Aggregates vs total rows vs aggregating data yourself - unclear which is correct or what they do exactly
Likelihood to Recommend
Well Suited
Quick creation of new, basic visualizations & charts
Identifying & tracking new metrics
Creating overview dashboards for clients Empowering business users to create value for clients
Less Appropriate
Creating beautiful, in-depth dashboards for clients
Preserving credits in snowflake or w/e data warehousing service you use
