Its a great tool to have. The ability to come in the morning and by using the report being able see how the day will go. Seeing the goal and the current inventory and also to be able to adjust as the day goes on. With the report updates the report as changes to the inventory happen live or if any issues arise. being able to see that live and being to react quickly.

Sigma is great for all dashboarding needs. It's easy to use and builds pretty and functional data stories. It's built for snowflake, so if you're on a different warehouse it works, but it's missing some functionality.

2 biggest reasons for Sigma were easy of use for power users, and cost of having a large amount of viewers of the data.

MicroStrategy Analytics and Microsoft Power BI
Microstrategy is too complex and expecting data warehouse in perfect Snowflake layout, otherwise all automated joins are getting messed up. Power BI requires to do tons of complex DAX transformations for even getting simple answers and has power limitations.
We are currently using Sigma for KPI reports and Histograms to determine how select models are performing as well as certain brands.

It handles filters very well but navigating in Sigma is not intuitive. You have to do a lot of clicking around in order to say for instance, add a parameter. If you're going to be a tool that grows you have to make it more user friendly and intuitive. You shouldn't have to click everywhere in order to get to where you want. Also, you should have the option to add input tables and create input tables on the fly. That function is not available.

Sigma still has a long ways to go compared to Power BI or Tableau. There needs to be more functionality features added to Sigma.

SIGMA is an amazing tool. It has allowed us to consolidate data across multiple shipping locations to view sales, inventory, and product shorts. The tool is saving our sellers about 3 hours a day. Prior to Sigma, the sellers gathered the information from each location and consolidated the data to review. It is now consolidated for them.

SIGMA is extremely great at consolidating data over multiple areas and providing results at a granule level, For example, sales, inventory, and movement, all in one place. The data runs and updates in real-time, which makes it extremely powerful.

We had an internal tool that was previously used. The tool only looked at one location. SIGMA has given us the ability to consolidate the information across multiple locations at the customer product level in real-time.
We use the report to review orders that are in our current system that are shipping next day, across the entire enterprise. The reports allow our users to quickly see orders with product issues and figure out if there is an easy resolution.

Summarizes data quickly. Our users can see all orders in the system for next day delivery very quickly. Once I have all the data, I can quickly identify items being shorted across the network. User can determine if the issues are related to one specific vendor or multiple very quickly.
I use Sigma to conduct data analysis via SQL and create data visualizations/dashboards for reporting and presentation purposes. Some business problems that I use Sigma to solve include viewing weekly trends, monitoring operational metrics, and further my understanding of our business and our customers.

Sigma is our BI tool for internal reporting/dashboarding and data-driven decision-making. We use it primarily for sales, marketing, inventory, and operational needs, but finance and other departments also use it. It enables us to answer ad hoc business questions, build dashboards for repeated, frequent use, and other analytics and monitoring.

The similarity to spreadsheet tools (G Sheets, Excel) enables end-users to quickly get up to speed without much training.
The end user interface is clean and clear.
Sigma support is great - they're friendly, always available for a quick chat or a screen share, and knowledgeable about the product and able to provide solutions and workarounds to any issues or reporting needs.
The flexibility of using SQL, analytics-created datasets, CSVs, or any combination of those is ideal for a smaller organization like us - it enables us to be more responsive to evolving user and business needs, especially as we grow.

Because it's spreadsheet-based, the UI can be tricky or unintuitive to use at times (especially for those used to other BI tools).
Options and functionality for things like charts or dashboard filters can be clunky or non-existent but Sigma is great about taking feature requests and is continually rolling out new features and improvements.

For fast, flexible dashboarding and reporting, Sigma Computing excels and is applicable to a range of businesses. It can easily connect to the data of back-end-heavy companies that rely on lots of SQL and deep knowledge of their data and is also equipped to handle structured, well-maintained databases that are ready to be piped into a reporting layer for end-user consumption at more analytics-mature organizations. It may not be the best enterprise-level solution given they're a relatively smaller, newer company but it's definitely worth a look for a variety of use cases!

Sigma is currently being used the central data analytics and visualization tool for all facets of our business. Sigma compares very favorably to Tableau. However, we do experience a bit of a learning curve when introducing Sigma to some of our new employees. For the most part, these new employees come from organizations where they've used more mainstream tools such as Tableau. With that said, once the initial learning curve has been cleared, the users are able to quickly consume and generate data using Sigma.
