Redtail CRM is a cloud-based CRM soluton specifically for financial advisors. Redtail is offered as a subscription service and, unlike most of the other CRM providers available, is priced per database, rather than per user, allowing up to 15 database users for one monthly subscription cost.
For small industries, it is very much suitable for planning, budget allocation, employee management, client management, risk management, tax calculation, and other financial management. The illustration is better and the simple interface helps us to input the data easily and precisely. When coming to large enterprises, there is some drawback which they can easily manage things well. Simple updates and small changes could make it very favorable for medium size enterprises.
It is extremely well suited to client management in the insurance and financial services industries. I think it would not be nearly as useful in a retail setting as many of the features would be irrelevant.
The aesthetics of the page could use a facelift. The grey-on-white serves as a subtle clue that I should not be having fun.
The workflow for searching for clients could be improved/made easier.
The integrations management page could certainly be easier to find in my opinion. It is in an unusual spot nestled beneath my name, rather than another location.
The platform is easy to use and train on. It is a one stop shop with all the information needed to maintain a clean client relationship. We recently had our scheduled audit done and Redtail was helpful in pulling the different reports we needed to produce for the audit
Was good and still is good. Seems like when a company acquires another they try to squeeze out more profit and forget what made them successful in the first place. Reducing staff and support seems inevitable, even though the number of users has increased significantly over the past 10 years
Generally speaking, Red Tail has been available whenever needed. there was a time period however where it was down and not available, giving 500 errors when trying to log in. They explained that it was due to upgrades they were making and it has virtually disappeared. Has now been available 99% of the time.
Overall general performance is quite satisfactory. Some of the automation factors that other products have available are slowly migrating to Red Tail. When these add ons are available and fully implemented, it greatly increases the power and usability of the CRM. Occasionally there are products that will not intergrade due to the nature of how they are set up
We use the HELP section of Redtail often. If it is taking you more than 5 minutes to figure out than go to the HELP desk. We have had only great experiences when reaching out for help. We also LOVED the Redtail University we attended.
Snap Projections - We were using this software up until this year alongside Naviplan to see how it compared. The reason we tried Snap Projections was the difference in pricing. Naviplan is expensive, where Snap is only a fraction of the cost. The biggest reason we stayed with Naviplan was familiarity for the advisor presenting. He was accustomed to it. I find the interface of Naviplan better cosmetically. They both are great financial planning software tools with pros and cons in each. I have found that you can manipulate the software to show most of what you need. Both platforms continually update and take user feedback into consideration when building on to it so they both get better all the time
We actually use both Redtail CRM and Constant Contact. Constant Contact is primarily for sending out client emails while Redtail CRM is primarily the way that we store client information and related documents for easy access. We are very happy with both Redtail CRM and with Constant Contact, for different reasons in that we use each one differently.
The biggest problem seems to have been with the email module. connection issues, sync issues, compliance updates, etc. The concept is great however there seems to be issues in getting it to work consistently. When it works, it works well. It seems that the frequency of downtime had been greatly reduced however.
Tax calculation of the organization and employees was very difficult, and Navi Plan made is very easy now.
The introduction of the software makes positive changes in the organization in managing the financial needs, which helps the organization to allocate what is required.
Employee benefit calculation was a bit difficult and it made a big positive impact.
It does the job and we get the best for what we pay for.
If the industry becomes big, then slight changes must be introduced to manage the big data needs.
