Amadeus Central Reservation System vs. Cvent Passkey

Amadeus Reservation System is a travel resource used by travel agents and industry organizations worldwide to book flights, rental cars, cruises, hotels, and other travel experiences. It is user-friendly and provides accurate travel inventory data. Agents benefit from its free training and certification program, and the travel industry likes its efficiency, professional support, and broad offerings. Amadeus is a great travel resource, but its conventional approaches are outdated and burdensome to master.

If a property is managing a block of 15 or more rooms, Cvent Passkey is extremely helpful as it helps streamline room types, attendee types, and premium up-sell options. If you are working on a smaller group that has specific requirements that restrict their room options, basic booking software will suffice.

• Allows for integration across all departments of our organization.

• Expensive subscriptions.
• It takes some effort to book a hotel or car.
• It loads slowly, and updates are rare.

• The support center for administrators (GroupMax) and the dashboard could be better. Good for beginnings, but there is a lack of detail for more advanced users.
• The process of building a booking site could be easier/more streamlined. We sometimes have to hunt around to find where to edit information.

My best advice is to have one or two people own the Cvent Passkey maintenance.If a person is using the software frequently, you will find tips and usability becomes quite easy. A novice may find some difficulty understanding how inventory distribution works but all of the training courses offered are very useful to help hone in on the craft

Cvent has superb customer service in general. They are always reachable and friendly and are willing to spend as much time in chat or on the phone with you as necessary to get your problems solved. The user-experience within Cvent compared to other registration providers is so much better! In the little time I've had in my field, this is clear to see.

travel. It makes sharing airport and baggage policies with passengers easier
and speeds up checking in and paying for flights. It is user- and
operator-friendly, comprehensive, straightforward, precise, and up-to-date with
technological and data developments. When compared to competing systems, it is
both user- and operator-friendly

I did not make the purchasing decision to incorporate Passkey into our business standards. I know that while demanding upon set up, it saves a significant amount of time when the main planning portion of the event is in swing. I personally have not used any other products like Cvent Passkey. With the new flex website design, it will not make sense to continue to use passkey when we can incorporate hotel selection into the registration process directly during registration.
