OneCause supports fundraising with online and event fundraising solutions that help nonprofits reach more and raise more. Since 2008, OneCause states they have helped 14,000 cause-driven organizations to raise over $8B through more than 90,000 fundraising events and campaigns.
I have only gone through demos of other products as we switched over from a custom product prior to Aventri. The biggest reason we selected Aventri is the malleability of the product, along with their amazing customer support. Their pricing is also extremely competitive, and …
I have not used CVENT but I know about them. They are double the price of Aventri and offer the same type of product. They have more integrations (like lead sourcing), however.
eTouches was selected for the integrated package, lower cost per registrant, no limitations on web pages, availability of exhibit sales module. It can handle the complexity of our client programs very easily. eTouches tells us we are "power users ;-)".
SignUp4 was our previous service and performed well. It wasn't until after it shuttered that we realized how much more could be provided. Cvent (which absorbed SignUp4) provided many of the old solutions but at a significantly higher price. In the end, it seemed more suited …
We absolutely love 4agood cause for day to day/peer to peer fundraising however, it just was not as robust when it came to event needs which required us to use outside software for those reasons. Givesmart was good, however a change in their packages required outside sourcing …
In our experience, OneCause has more lift on the front end than Greater Giving. Especially since, in my opinion, the registration for a live event isn't of the caliber that I've seen from GG. But, if you can handle the registration and use a third-party tool like GivingFuel or …
We looked at Auctria and GiveSmart, though we didn't go into great detail with either. We ultimately selected OneCause based on the recommendation of another local school that used it for its auction software. The customer service and support as we made this decision and …
I personally never used Otego but it was more expensive then OneCause and it was a one night deal. With OneCause we get to keep the software all year and get to do more events/ auctions because of that.
OneCause is the best event software I've tried yet in terms of supporting a number of auction related features. Our event has very specific needs and OneCause seemed to check enough boxes to fit those needs. I do think in an ideal world we would use an auction/event software …
I have also used Bidding for Good -- a FrontStream product. The main reason I choose OneCause over the others is the customer service and the in-person staffing option. And you are focused on providing event-based services -- GiveSmart is trying to be everything and it's too …
OneCause surpasses them in several ways regarding usability and functionality both on the back end for administration as well as for donors on the external facing side. Sales team is also nicer
I believe Aventri has a big learning curve, so if you are short on time, I would recommend hiring someone who already has experience. We had a few months, but making changes took a while because only two staff members had time to figure out and learn the system. I don't think the website is very user-friendly, but I don't think it's so hard that the average worker cannot learn it. We happened to be short on time so learning the system was an added stress that would not normally be there.
I'm not sure if it is because I have used it so much, but OneCause is the easiest self-explanatory event platform. After 15-20 minutes of use, anyone should be able to navigate at a basic level. It is very user-friendly, and I have been able to train volunteer staff effectively.
Provides information for hotel booking and transfers so that all this information is in one record.
Unlimited number of pages for the website is invaluable - we looked at other programs with only 4 pages for the website and that just isn't enough for our clients.
Customer service during planning phases- reps always get back to me to help answer my questions.
Event managers are always great to work with at our Gala. We really need someone to make sure the whole program runs well, and OneCause never disappoints.
Variety of events that we can use this for is awesome! No need for paypal, venmo, etc.
Mobile bidding has been a game changer for us. People can participate in our auction even if they cannot attend the event!
Platform is relatively easy to use- intuitive even for those who are not techy!
Mobile app does not allow for video advertisements.
The day the event is scheduled to be over in Aventri it clears from your list and it makes getting reporting and analytics difficult after the event is over.
We are a very small non-profit and are actually looking to use another service just to cut costs, but we may not stay with them and will coming running back to OneCause if we can't make the other option work! The ONLY reason to move would be to reduce the over-head cost of the platform.
I think that OneCause is a very intuitive, user-friendly platform on the non-profit user's side and also from the donor's perspective. They have created a software that is good for both mobile devices and desktop computers. The customization allowed for your campaigns is also incredible - you can make each fundraising website feel like a true extension of your non-profit
I had a few issues while onsite (over the weekend). The support information given to me was incorrect and I had a hard time tracking down how to get assistance while onsite (on a weekend). When you are onsite, issues are usually heightened and need an immediate response, and I didn't get that.
The OneCause staff is knowledgeable and willing to assist. When we have had questions, they are quick to respond and provide assistance. Our assigned event manager each year has been very good about checking in with us to make sure planning is running smoothly. Additionally, the onsite team has always been friendly and helpful. They stay with us throughout the event to address any issues that may arise.
We hired OneCause to guide us through our first event after we signed up with them. The staff they sent were pros. They gave us professional guidance and support. Once we had been shown the ropes, we knew we could take the reins and confidently run our next event
I don't know if my insights are key but I can say that implementation was done in-house without any outside support for the solution. The staff influencing the solution had very little technical expertise and ability as well which showed just how easily the software was to implement.
SignUp4 was our previous service and performed well. It wasn't until after it shuttered that we realized how much more could be provided. Cvent (which absorbed SignUp4) provided many of the old solutions but at a significantly higher price. In the end, it seemed more suited for very large events more so than the size we normally run. Thus we chose eTouches to supplant SignUp4.
We looked at Auctria and GiveSmart, though we didn't go into great detail with either. We ultimately selected OneCause based on the recommendation of another local school that used it for its auction software. The customer service and support as we made this decision and transition was a confirmation for us.
