WAF is great for apps hosted within Azure. It allows for great security as well as funneling traffic out through Azure rather than having to bring it back on-prem to your internal firewall to then go back out. Can really give too much of a reason for a situation where it doesn’t work as it has been used in one particular situation.

It is very suitable to manage and monitor a large amount of network security information. It is not recommended to use the network information security management of a single firewall device in terms of cost.

  • The ability to quickly analyze logs and events can shorten our response time for handling information security incidents

  • Patching is limited due to the strength of the code releases also time for maintenance is extremely limited
  • Annually reoccurring costs for licenses can be expensive
