I selected Offerpop because of the cost. I was never going to get the cost of Olapic or Bazaarvoice Curations approved for UGC. However, I really feel that UGC needs to be on the product detail page in order to see a lift in conversions on a particular product.
Offerpop is much more user friendly than other products we've used. It allows us to quickly develop campaigns by offering a variety of templates where with others, our agency had to put in much more development time. However, Offerpop isn't quite as advanced as others when it …

Even though the price of Offerpop was affordable, I still couldn't justify it. Our engagement on contests went down and no visited the UGC page. I can see if you had thousands of entries for a contest, you would definitely have to go to a solution like Offerpop.
The entry forms can become a little overwhelming especially if you add your review to the page at the bottom. It would be nice if users could click on a "rules" link and then have those details scroll down.

Other competitors have since entered the market at a lower price point so do your homework. Also, Facebook has relaxed rules for timeline promotions. It doesn't completely negate the need for Offerpop's services, but now you can conduct quick and easy contests without 3rd party apps.
