The decision was already made by the architects and by the time I joined [the company]. The JDA implementation was already in place. However, the cost of the product and the targeted retailers would have made a lot of sense when choosing JDA Commerce Suite.
Earlier JDA versions did not supporting all the protocols for integration for example, sonic MQ. We had to spend lot of time writing adapters for that.
