Bonusly helps teams improve engagement and adopt the behaviors that set them, and their organization, up for long-term success. It is used to make recognition meaningful and habitual, and to help organizations build cultures where people want to stay and grow together. The vendor states that more than 3,400 global organizations, including DoorDash, Toast, Seat Geek, and Magna-Tiles, use Bonusly’s recognition to see what recognition done right can achieve.

the cost was [the] main factor for us. I think the platforms are very similar. Bonusly is one focused on just employee recognition which is great and concise. Blueboard offers a lot more by way of experiences and gift-giving for recognition but on the pricier side.
I haven’t found any other platform that I would consider in a similar product to Bonusly. When we got involved with the platform, it was the only one of it’s type and we’ve been blown away with it since then.
Bonusly builds a recognition-rich culture like no other reward and recognition software by empowering everyone to recognize their peers, direct reports, and managers. With nifty features and a simple interface, Bonusly is fun and intuitive to use and employees tend to adopt …
The "big name" to me has always been CrewHu. Not sure why they aren't in the listing at the time of this writing but they are far and away the big name from my perspective. This is the main other tool we've seriously considered and I think it highlights the opposite points I've …
I like OpenSesame for the numerous options of topics you have to choose from. However, my DDI rep really helped me drill down the topics we needed to focus on. DDI simplified the process for me so it was not so confusing on where to start and what to use. We mapped out a plan …
Bonusly has provided us a formal space to post recognition. While face to face recognition still occurs, this is a place where staff can post publicly or privately, but a majority choose public. It has been incredibly popular since our implementation. Staff love the ability to earn time off through recognition. That customized redemption is our most popular reward.
When I got hired on at my company, we needed some quick wins and instant content to get some of the initiatives going. Having the facilitator and participant materials all ready to go (Training in a box) was extremely helpful. What would have taken me years to put together myself, I was able to put together in a few months. The materials are very user friendly.
I enjoyed the process of getting certified to teach topics from DDI. Our master instructor was excellent. He gave wonderful feedback and provided an environment where we could practice our skills and be ready to teach.
The facilitator and participant materials are very professional and well laid out. They are easy to follow. Especially as a facilitator of the course. The facilitator guide provides very detailed content of what to say and how to teach the topic.
I love the additional job aids, videos, surveys and reinforcement of training tools they provide for you to use with your learners. They also are provided in various formats (mobile, hard copy, etc.)
Some of the courses are a bit out of date. They don't always stay up with the times of current trends in the business world.
I would like to have the option of using the participant materials in a mobile format instead of having to call in and order hard copy participant materials for each course I teach.
I would like to see more courses converted to Industrial format. I work for an Industrial type company and some of the courses are not relevant or do not hit home for our learners. They say they cannot relate to the case studies, videos, etc.
Bonusly is easy to use and intuitive for anyone familiar with technology and using websites. There is a page where posts are made, and a page where rewards are redeemed. It is very straightforward.

I like OpenSesame for the numerous options of topics you have to choose from. However, my DDI rep really helped me drill down the topics we needed to focus on. DDI simplified the process for me so it was not so confusing on where to start and what to use. We mapped out a plan together on how to support our employees and leaders in their development.
Employees are encouraged to "live the values" as other members see and recognize their achievements monetarily.
This spreads a load of recognition from just leadership/managers across the entire organization, potentially eliminating/reducing a recurring existing task your company is currently doing.
Features/freedom of posting in a 'social media' style environment encourages light-hearted comradery between employees.
We are a part of a dealer network. Before we rolled out the training and materials using DDI, we ranked 38 out of 52 dealers for our dealer loyalty score. We are now ranked #2.
We are seeing our leaders confidence go up. They feel much more confident in how to lead their teams. The environment within the teams has improved. They are having more effective conversations with team members. 1x1s are happening in a more consistent basis.
Our leaders have more tools than they have had before in how to lead and support their teams. Checklists, templates, surveys, etc.
