Central is a cloud-based remote monitoring and endpoint management solution enabling IT professionals to monitor,
manage, and secure their endpoint infrastructure. Whether it is used for remote employees or endpoints scattered across the globe, the vendor promises that Central
provides IT organizations with the speed, flexibility, and insight needed to
increase productivity, reduce IT costs, and mitigate risk.
Has better rendering resolution (often smoother) and without having to configure any firewalls or port forwarding, it makes it a much better choice than using RDP. Managed connections all appear in a central location where on RDP you have to make individual shortcuts for each …
Chrome Remote Desktop seems to be a an easy to use and efficient program. Such as Teamviewer, however Teamviewer offers more program features such as able to control a device's function (shutting down, restarting, audio input, cmd etc). With those added program features I …
No one can beat Chrome Remote Desktop's price! But that price (free) means something--missing features, limited support. For true business use, access to multiple machines, robust support, etc., I'd go with one of the more expensive options.
I've used TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Go to My PC, and Microsoft Remote Desktop to access PCs remotely. Chrome Remote Desktop is one of the best remote desktop programs. The other programs are more expensive and provide fewer features than Chrome Remote Desktop. It is much easier …
Chrome Remote Desktop is much more user-friendly that Symantec Endpoint Protection. Support is marginally better with Chrome as well. Symantec's solution is hard to set up and admin, it also uses a lot of memory that can only be freed with rebooting. The downside to memory usage …
Most of the other software solutions come at a cost for the licensing, and it is usually not cheap, given that you need to have commercial licensing for a business/organization. Also, with the other remote desktop solutions, there is more of a learning curve in order to use, …
TeamViewer is good but it won't let you connect to your devices as seamlessly as Chrome Remote Desktop does. Also, TeamViewer is pricey. Some of our non-technical users faced slight challenges learning on how to operate TeamViewer, which definitely is not the case ever since we …
Still up in the air about which solution is best. We're actually leaning towards Windows RDP via Citrix session right now. It is secure, fast, and easy.
Teamviewer is much easier for less tech-savvy users to set up, and you can walk them through it over the phone if necessary ("Just google 'TeamViewer' and click 'Download'". However, TeamViewer wants to update VERY regularly and sometimes doesn't connect reliably. We've never …
Bomgar is probably one of the best support/Unattended remote access solutions out there. Logmein is a close second. However, the cost of both these solutions can be daunting. However, a third option, Jump Desktop, is slick since it uses a propriety 'fluid' streaming protocol …
Chrome Remote Desktop compliments the Google for Work Admin suites perfectly, you can deploy this application to all your devices via policy from google, it's easy to use from the operators point of view and allows for a quick seamless connection to your device, the cost is …
Hands down Chrome Remote Desktop is the best option available if you find yourself mobile and without access to a laptop/PC. In some cases, I would say that this application outperforms the native Windows Remote Desktop application. However, there are some features missing, …
LogMeIn Central by GoTo generally outperforms TeamViewer and ConnectWise ScreenConnect in several key areas. While both alternatives have their merits, they come with drawbacks such as higher costs and performance issues over slow connections. A significant differentiator for …
LogMeIn Central by GoTo is better than Team Viewer in it's central management portal and it's remote installation by end users without needing to pass any kind of login or access codes back and forth to gain remote access. Its remote control is much better than Splashtop in that …
We use both LogMeIn Central by GoTo and a true RMM product. LogMeIn Central by GoTo has its role as an easier method to remotely access selected oft-used machines, whereas the RMM product is much, much more cost effective to rollout to entire infrastructure footprints.
Even when I've already logged in, there are situations where I need to confirm my email address while logging into a website. It prohibits the simultaneous log-in of several accounts. When you switch between accounts, you are automatically logged out. LogMeIn Central is far …
I like all of the products I list. I have worked with Connect Wise and MS Intune. Kaseya VSA was part of the initial review list of products, however it was eliminated. MS and CW are good they have many of the similar items the LogMeIn Central by GoTo does, Remote Management, …
The closets of the above mentioned would be screenconnect and we do have some clients that use it. Screenconnect is a little cheaper for the client to use compared the LogMeIn Central by GoTo but the overall ease of use is better the LogMeIn Central by GoTo. Anydesk, RemotePC …
LogMeIn Central along with Rescue are our go to for solving and maintaining issues. It's support and documentation I feel are much better than others in the past. I learning curve seems easier for our users and techs, and just overall feels more secure and professional for our …
Very similar to GotoMyPC (LogMeIn was rebranded as GoTo, hence the UI change I mentioned), Splashtop, and TeamViewer, as far as cost, usability, features.
In our quotations and evaluation of the suppliers the best proposal and best service was from Central. The company asks to quote 3 companies, and the best of them in our evaluation taking into account cost benefit was Central (LogMeIn). The access to computers in Central's …
Pricing with Central was more competitive and the feature set was close. We did prefer some features of Control however the pricing model was much better for us with Central.
LogmeIn Central is the fastest RMM in terms of remote connection. It generally performs well on networks that have low bandwidth too. In terms of features, Datto RMM does best it because it offers such a good platform for integrations and also for scripting. The community is …
As mentioned already, Central is very flexible to remote share. So, we kept an auto-option, whenever user raise ticket, it should auto-capture the hostname based on his Employee ID. With that, no more asking user to provide anydesk/team viewer ID to beep in inside user machine …
The most valuable or powerful or reliable feature I'd say it's simplicity and easy to access and complete tasks on time. Its single pane where we have all the control systems, tools and features. I also like how the remote connection is stable and fast. The support is very …
I did not like the Kaseya product, it was difficult to us and had constant connection issues. We currently utilize Endpoint Central and love it. However, we will maintain Central for the screen sharing product. TeamViewer is ok but is slow and clunky.
Well, it's the other way around. We used LogMeIn Central for 6 years. It always worked for us. The biggest issue we had was performance and cost. Initially, the cost was very low for a subscription, but as time passed, the cost increased to a level where we thought it wasn't …
We have always found that our clients preferred LogMeIn Central even if they had to pay a little more [for] it! The interface is simple to use, and it's available for so many different platforms.
It allows me to be able to access other systems without the employee having to have account as well. Long as [LogMeIn Central] is installed on their system I am able to access it. The other system there were a lot of restrictions due to the fact that it required them to need an …
We currently use LogMeIn and Zoho Assist for different purposes. LogMeIn provides a much better experience for our employees and faster connection in my opinion. Zoho Assist is used as any additional tool for IT support only where we can remotely connect at the same time a …
Chrome Remote Desktop is great for accessing machines remotely which cannot be accessed via Microsoft's Remote Desktop. It's especially nice for accessing machines of varying operating systems from a machine of a single operating system. For example, if I'm on my Windows laptop, I can always use Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to local machines (or machines via a VPN), but I can't do the same with Macs. I can do both from Chrome Remote Desktop though, and this program is very lightweight, which is nice.
From a single place, I can use LogMeIn Central to monitor which machines need upgrades and determine whether to delay them until after isolated testing. I can also use the One2Many tool to arrange batch updates for third-party software. Plus, it enables me to provide Ad Hoc Support sessions to staff members who are experiencing problems with their client computers.
A very easy lightweight tool that is completely scalable and deployed via google admin platform. The tool is free to use and works extremely well with the chrome devices we currently have deployed. Any organization using chrome or google suites should look into this tool as it's much easier to use then other remote software in the market
What I dont like is when I run out of licenses that the only way to get more is to buy large amounts. this is very frustrating and as a small business I need to watch how much i am spending. smaller license packs would be better
Just a great product that has saved countless hours of commute to work and given the flexibility to be able to work from anywhere, whether at home or when away on holiday overseas. I love that it is a free product and is just as great as its competitors' products. It has also allowed me to prepare for work for the following day.
The LogMeIn Central is simple to use. You can easily manage computers and servers by creating different groups. Connecting to a remote computer is a simple click-on button. You don't need the remote user's password if [they are] already logged in. You don't need the remote user on the other side if you want to take full control. Overall the usability is simple.
It has saved us countless times, and we didn't need to get boots on the ground to fix or maintain patches or errors. Being able to solve a number of issues for a central location without having to have a tech travel is invaluable as far as resources and time spent for everyone.
The only support I ever accessed were help files and web tutorials. I never tried to access personal support, mostly because I don't believe much of it is available. As a free service, my expectations for support are pretty low; that said, Chrome Remote Desktop is easy enough to configure and troubleshoot even with limited technical knowledge.
Every time I called in with a question or concern, your support team always provided the right information. It's great to call in to support and everyone that answers is very knowledgeable of the product.
Most of the other software solutions come at a cost for the licensing, and it is usually not cheap, given that you need to have commercial licensing for a business/organization. Also, with the other remote desktop solutions, there is more of a learning curve in order to use, them. With Chrome Remote Desktop that is not the case. Lastly, some of the problems that were seen in some of the paid commercial solutions, have not been seen with Chrome Remote Desktop.
We use both LogMeIn Central by GoTo and a true RMM product. LogMeIn Central by GoTo has its role as an easier method to remotely access selected oft-used machines, whereas the RMM product is much, much more cost effective to rollout to entire infrastructure footprints.
Time, many times when some service needed privileged access (administrator) the resolver agent needed to go to the user and this travel time (10 - 15 minutes) because this is a large company. Basically we reduced 50 minutes of service to 20, even 10 minutes
After the implementation we achieved a 20% increase in our ticket resolution rate and a 57% increase in the SLA service rate
