It is used for It to remote in and fix our computers. I personally have not had any issues with it..very user-friendly on both Its and m sides. I actually love the idea of having it at our fingertips, and you love the cloud-based backup.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We as IT team members are located at different parties of the world and need access to computers and servers from our remote location. LogMeIn Central by GoTo helps us work on our organization's network seamlessly and securely. The connections to the machines are fast and help us to develop applications on machines within our Organization's network as if we are working on our local computers.

Cons

  • It is Hard to Restart a Machine via the UI
  • LogMeIn Central by GoTo's Password Expiration is just too frequent

LogMeIn Central by GoTo Reliable Easy to Use Remote Access Application

I've used LogMeIn Central by GoTo for six years. It was recommended to me by an IT professional. It's reliability was a life saver during the pandemic. In our fast paced world it's no longer practical to travel to clients this is a reliable fix for that. It's also good if you provide software support or other troubleshooting.

Pros

  • Web based client easy to use
  • Extremely reliable
  • Great support
  • Easy setup

Cons

  • Needs a little tweaking to install on a Windows 11 computer
  • Graphics on LogMeIn Central by GoTo client could be clearer
  • Can be frustrating on an unstable connection

LogMeIn Central by GoTo, excellent product.....but at a price!

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LogMeIn Central by GoTo to manage many of our client's. It really comes in handy when we need to reliably connect to their workstations and servers. Saves us a lot of time and hassle. We started out using LogMeIn Central by GoTo many years ago exclusively. Right now we still use it but it's in addition to other products that allow us to similarly remotely connect to clients.

Pros

  • It allows us to remotely connect to clients.
  • We also on occasion use LogMeIn123.com when necessary
  • Helps us to easily see what the status of all our client's PCs are.

Cons

  • Personally, I think it's a very expensive product. We used to use LogMeIn Central by GoTo exclusively but now use a hybrid of LogMeIn Central by GoTo and other products to remotely handle our client's needs. Our only real issue is the cost.

Return on Investment

  • In general, just being able to remotely access and monitor client's workstations and servers has saved us a lot of time and money. LogMeIn Central by GoTo is an excellent product BUT due to it's cost we have also subscribed to other similar services to accomplish the "same" thing.

Great at direct Remote Access to specific machines, but is not a "true" RMM solution

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use LogMeIn Central by GoTo primarily as a secondary, but daily used, remote access solution across multiple clients to allow for easy, direct access to specific machines at client locations. It affords easy access from multiple devices (PC, macOS & iOS) and incorporates background file transfer and command prompt ability, as well.

Pros

  • Remote access
  • Quick insight into uptime of particular machine
  • Software-based VPN into client network

Cons

  • It's not a true RMM and is missing some key functionality in that realm while it claims to be one
  • Compared to a true RMM, it's too costly to deploy across an entire organization

Return on Investment

  • LogMeIn Central by GoTo gives us the ability to quickly and easily access specific machines remotely, in particular from the field (i.e., from a mobile device), affording us the ability to more quickly respond to issues that may arise and resolve them
