We tried Surfer SEO before Conductor. It just felt like it didn't have enough to offer in comparison to Conductor. There was a shortage on everything that you could do in the platform and it felt like the lack of in-depth tools caused us to miss out on making sure our content …
Our entire team tested the above and some others I can't recall at this time. They all had their pros and cons. We preferred to go with Conductor because of its ease of use, ease of deployment, and lowered costs.
I have used many SEO campaign platforms like Conductor. Conductor UX leads to a good SEO workflow for me. I don't really even understand why. I have used SEMRush a lot, AHrefs an awful lot, and BrightEdge a little, and I love doing SEO analysis in Conductor and spend way more …
We didn't use another product previously, we used an agency that did everything for us, so bringing Organic SEO in-house was why we went with Conductor. I have used other products in other roles and at other companies and each has its strengths. Conductor is good for large …
We have looked at a few other competitors or other SAAS options but none of them offered the number and quality of tools and resources that Conductor offered especially for the flexible pricing we found with Conductor.
We moved to Conductor because the functionality matched what we were looking for. Price was not as much of a factor, thankfully, because Conductor is expensive.
We switched to Conductor from Brightedge because the team at Brightedge didn't seem very helpful during our weekly calls, and the platform was tough to use. The features were not laid out in a very logical or user-friendly fashion, and it was often difficult to accomplish even …
SEMRush was targeted for the small/medium business and fell short with the number of accounts and projects we needed to run. I feel it also has a cumbersome pricing structure. Botify, albeit an amazing technical auditing tool wasn't the right software for what we need right …
We used Moz to introduce SEO to the organization. Once we had executive buy-in, the natural next step was to move to an advanced enterprise platform. Conductor offers an easier interface and more options in terms of competitor analysis, reporting, support, research, content …
We switched from BrightEdge mainly due to my recommendation based on my past experience with Conductor. The main reason was the advancements in technology that Conductor had demonstrated during our initial conversations. We were certain that the tool simply had more to offer …
We were using another company. Do not feel comfortable giving the name but our Conductor Searchlight teams know who it is. We were just left to figure everything out on our own. With Conductor Searchlight, they are always helping.
We dealt with an agency that made custom recommendations. Conductor is easier to use, and the recommendations are easier to put into practice. Also, I don't have to wait until the weekly meeting to get answers and insights.
We switched to Conductor for several reasons: Explorer is a feature that other tools do not have. It is very helpful to be able to see how your website is working as a whole vs. just the keywords you are tracking. Content research was something that was missing from our …
I have been in SEO for over a decade, and in that time, I have used just about every tool on the market. Conductor is the tool we get the most useful insights from in the easiest way. The support and help we get from the Conductor team are one of the main reasons we ignore the …
We liked that Conductor offered many different tools in one easier-to-use platform. The price point was right for us. I had experience with other tools but had never used Conductor, and I liked what I saw in the demos we were given. It hasn't disappointed me yet!
Overall I think that Ahrefs is a better product when it comes to really drilling down and getting all the data that you need in order to understand a given behavior or problem. Ahrefs is much more powerful in its feature set but does not have the same level of overall …
They are both great tools. I prefer Google Trends because of the location capabilities and being able to go hyper-local. It does not however provide the details on cost and competition like SEM Rush does.
Google Trends is probably the easier of the many other Google platforms to identify keywords. I haven't used other keyword platforms because I don't trust them—I rather use a tool directly from Google to evaluate popular keywords. That being said, Google Trends is very limited …
I like using Google Trends because it gives you a clear visual of seasonal trends and compares multiple queries at once. However, I do prefer using other systems like SEMRush and Ahrefs because they are more detailed in the information they give you regarding your website and …
It's not really an either/or thing — I use the complete "Google Marketing Stack" including Analytics, Trends, Keyword Planner, Search Console, etc. It's also essential to integrate some of their data, like making sure Google Search Console and Google Analytics are connected — …
Google Trends provides insights that are only available through Google, however, it does not include other important trends such as those on social media or via their competitors.
I've used SEMrush, while more of a SEO Manager than keyword trend analyzer, it does have that option as it does relate to SEO management, but between the two, its nice to have the option in SEMrush, but Google Trends is better at doing the trend analyzing than SEMrush is.
One of the most obvious reasons why I chose Google trends over other keyword research platforms is because it's free. At the same time, it also has the most relevant and easy-to-use features out of the bunch. Google Trends does not have as many features as SEMRush or BuzzSumo, …
We used multiple platforms. Google Trends is just one of them! It's important to have multiple tools to check and reference back and forth. Google Trends is totally free for everybody so why not give it a try.
Google Trends tends to be slightly more accurate than the other products, because Google has access to more user data for the algorithm to take into consideration when providing trends and information. We like this tool because it also aligns better with the Google tools we use …
We use Google Search Console and Moz mostly for our website improvement, and Google Trends we use mostly to look for trends: what people are searching for now. Google Trends is free and has very clean, simple and understandable user interface, it gives lots of usable data for …
There really isn't a product I know of that does what Google Trends does. I do use https://soovle.com/ in a similar fashion. I recommend trying Soovle out for content ideation.
Google AdSense is much more detailed, but requires the user to be logged in and have an active Google Adsense account, sometimes it's quicker to just use Google trends.
Google Trends has the biggest source of data and is the most accurate. It cannot be used without any other tool because of its own limits (keyword suggestion, semantical analysis, etc.).
Google Trends is sometimes a helpful supplement to other analytics and advertising tools, but it is not very useful as a standalone analysis tool. We have seen much more benefit from the intelligence and audience information built in to our other core tools. Better predictive …
Google Trends and Open Web Analytics are both similar and different. While both products allow a user to track the popularity of a given webpage or search term, Google Trends is more effective in providing content and suggesting trends. Furthermore, I liked the ability to use …
Google Trends is a great place to start in the content curation, content research, blog post writing, and resource page creation process. It is not, however, a place to do serious SEO optimization. Tools like Moz, or Analytics SEO would be a better place to go after you do …
They're different tools and thus have overlap, but still do quite different jobs. So there really is no exact comparison, in free to use tools, to Google Trends out there. If it could generate periodic reports it would be even better.
Conductor has proven to be an effective tool for tracking our organic search visibility, researching trends and content topics, and beginning our optimization journey in the new AI-driven world of search. The platform is exceptional for collaboration and is easy to use. Having deeper integration of search-related AI data and tools, organic shopping, schema tracking, and suggestions would further improve an already excellent product offering.
Google Trends is appropriate in so many scenarios, but I definitely suggest it for content ideas and inspiration. Many people utilize it after already writing their content to add in popular phrases or words, but that is not enough. The platform should be used prior and during the content creation process so that you can use the data to see what your audience/customers are interested in at the moment and create the content based on their interests. It can help, but I find it much less appropriate to use it after your article, eBook, etc. is already written. Maximize on this useful tool by ensuring the topic you're writing about is relevant in the first place before simply adding in popular keywords. An article that's written based on what's trending will be far more successful than an article that solely has popular phrases added to it.
Keyword research (includes related terms, types of terms, high ranking pages, search volume, and more)
Content guidance and briefs (you can use built in tools to get specific optimization steps and create content briefs within the tool)
Competitor research (compare how competition is ranking and track organic market share)
Support (dedicated team support, regular check-ins, built-in requests for deliverables/support items, options for requesting work with partner organizations, excellent training materials, and live chat within the platform)
Allows you to search keywords and phrases in certain locations to see search volumes, this is huge and helps us be successful with our Google Ad campaigns.
Shows us insights into trending topics which allows us to stay in the know and apply any relevant trends to current clients.
Year in Search and Trending Topics provides us great inspiration for our ads
Being able to search in certain locations gives us a ton of help when setting up campaigns and doing our keyword research for clients.
Being able to compare multiple keywords or search terms side by side is extremely helpful.
I would like to see a feature to manage the backlink disavow list through search console. If Conductor is able to add this, we may be able to drop one of our other tools and save some money in that area.
Conductor has a lot of features and can be a bit overwhelming. It is a strength and a weakness, as it takes time to learn all that is available.
Another feature I would like to see is more integration with GA, we leverage creating annotations in GA and it would be great to have those pulled into the Conductor dashboard automatically.
Conductor enables high-value SEO activity. There are a lot of moving parts in SEO and I'm always open to products that fit our requirements, but Conductor has built a stronger argument for its value after we subscribed than it had when we subscribed -- that's rare.
I check features like the InsightStream every Monday to monitor any major losses or gains in performance. These are easily digested and save me tons of time searching for these insights manually. If there's anything "worth calling home about" I can easily add insights into a workspace and create a report to communicate these results. It's super easy to use Conductor with a team and across departments.
Google Trends is very easy to use. you just search for a certain keyword or phrase, and it tells you how often that keyword or phrase is searched, where in the world it is searched, and over the last decade, how often it is per year.
It's been sort of off and on in the 2 years I've used it. The live chat has been really helpful many times, and they're quick to respond. We had different support contacts but they've all been good. I think they've recently changed the way they provide support that I believe will be more dedicated and hands-on
I haven't needed to use any support for Google Trends. However, I've used Google's support in general and it's a hit or miss. Usually, there's a long wait or they don't understand my problem. They are the only ones that can help, so sometimes I feel stuck. They prioritize paying customers for sure.
Our in house SEO manager trained everyone. It was easy to learn and he was well versed with the product. Any questions we had he was able to answer or reach out to support to find the answer
I definitely recommend their professional services for getting started. It got our account 90% of the way to where we needed to be in order to gain value from it. In fact, I'd suggest that with few exceptions (such as, you have a staff that is already familiar with the platform and doesn't need any help), the quick start services over the first 30-90 days should be a standard part of onboarding with any new client. It definitely got us to the point of gaining ROI from the solution and, in turn, will make it easier to justify renewal and continued investment in it.
We tried Surfer SEO before Conductor. It just felt like it didn't have enough to offer in comparison to Conductor. There was a shortage on everything that you could do in the platform and it felt like the lack of in-depth tools caused us to miss out on making sure our content that we're putting out is the best it could possibly be.
I've used SEMRush, while more of a SEO Manager than keyword trend analyzer, it does have that option as it does relate to SEO management, but between the two, its nice to have the option in SEMRush, but Google Trends is better at doing the trend analyzing than SEMRush is.
The Live Edit feature in Content King has given me the ability to make changes on the fly without having to wait for developer time to make simple edits.
I have been able to gain back hours of time that I previously spent on aggregating data across tools when preparing on-the-fly reports for management.
Every morning my dashboard provides me with a new insight or answers a question I may not have even thought to ask. This has added to my workload, but it's also helped to become better at my job.
I can't really give a measurement of how Google Trends has directly contributed.
Since Google Trends is free I would have to say that it is all positive ROI.
I can say that Google Trends definitely makes it easier to accomplish my business objectives of delivering the most relevant and insightful advice to my clients regarding their SEO, Social Media Publishing, and Online Advertising.
