FileInvite automates the process of collecting information and documents from your clients. The vendor says the process is simple, and the interface is secure. All you have to do is create and send a FileInvite with the information you require. The client then uploads the files to a secure portal where you can approve or decline the information that has been submitted. FileInvite also allows you to set up reminders, templates and sync with your cloud storage like Google…

Chose FileInvite
Similarly, I found FileInvite to be easier, cheaper, and has more functionality that is useful for me.
FileInvite has a lot of nice features, but the overall cost is the company's downfall. We were able to get a lot of the same features that we need for a lot less with other companies and providers.
There were at least two other solutions that I looked into. Of my list of needs, however, file invite had the majority of them covered, and I know that at least one other solution that I reviewed was significantly more expensive.
It is the only platform we have used. We never seriously evaluated any other platform before implementing PowerDMS. We had first-hand reviews from our police department and a neighboring fire department.
We have not reviewed or utilized any other such programs. Through networking and others using their own software found, we found that Power DMS was best suited for our organization and went forward off that. As we continue to use PowerDMS and learn, we can further progress our …
Our previous document product was Image Silo. It was a stable-enough product, but was strictly an indexed filing system. PowerDMS goes well beyond indexing (which it does very well) and provides countless more features and functions as described above. I would describe the …
We used to utilize Lexipol for policy review, but moved to Power DMS because of some of Lexipol's limitations. Power DMS is just a much more robust program. There are so many uses and features beyond simple policy collection and management. Their Success community and Champions …
Power DMS was the only product we looked at. Being that it was pushed positively by CALEA and is one of their tools used to successfully manage accreditation it was a no brainer the support from Power DMS was also A+ they worked with us throughout our initial set-up.
I have not used any other systems like PowerDMS. We have a training management system that allows us to store documents but not in a way that makes it easy to pull the documents or highlight key portions.
In the past, I have used a variety of both internally developed programs and external software programs for both accreditation management and document tracking. PowerDMS has been a superior product. It is a very robust platform that is easy to learn with endless benefits to the …
Our forms for summer camper parents vary depending on the needs of the camper (i.e. allergies, nutrition requirements, & program desirability such as horseback riding or preferred cabin mates). This situational form allowance is a breeze with fileinvite, and the setup process is intuitive and very easy to manage as a collaboration across our entire team
Getting 100% signature compliance on policy updates used to take months but since automating out policy management updates in PowerDMS, we can get 100% compliance in as little as 2 weeks. Internal requests for things such as training, purchases, etc used to be pushed up the chain of command via a paper copy and would often get misplaced or lost in a full mailbox. Using PowerDMS to automate those requests put the power back in the requester's hands and increased transparency and accountability across the organization.
The Workflow process in PowerDMS is not as easy to grasp as some of the other concepts and requires a little more explaination, especially for non-administrative background users.
Users are unable to view the steps in a Workflow template in order to determine which Workflow would work best for their needs when routing documents.
It would be great to have multiple message options for past due inbox notifications in addition to the options for past due tasks to encourage users to go to their inbox to review their messages.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with PowerDMS from day one. If we ever run into a situation we are unsure of, PowerDMS support has ALWAYS been able to answer us basically immediately. I really love that they are constantly seeking to improve and expand.
Aside from a few minor recommendations, the solution is well thought through and very easy to set up. As a matter of fact, the onboarding support by the team was fantastic, and the ongoing availability to help while we were/are learning the platform has been extremely friendly and reliable.
While not necessarily user-intuitive, with a small amount of dedication to training and learning how the system functions, it becomes very usable. I would say that the usability scale is quite user-dependent. For a standard user that just needs to review and sign documents, it is very easily used. On the other end, management does a bit more of a learning curve.
It has been pretty smooth so far. There was an issue earlier this week that resulted in corrupted invites whereby the unique secure link failed, but I was able to resubmit the invitations quite simply, and they've assured me the issue was unusual and I won't be alarmed unless it happens again sometime soon.
We use PowerDMS in the cloud so our performance might be different from other users who use on-premise. The program has always been up with very minimal downtime and always seems responsive and snappy when navigating the UI and searching documents. We don't currently have any integrations with other software.
I just wish we had some in-state support. The contacts I have had with customer support have been great. Awesome communication, problem-solving, and support. I have talked to and met Stephanie Williams (CSA for Power DMS) at the most recent Entrust conference. She was professional and devoted time to addressing our agency needs.
Implementation of PowerDMS was near seamless. The product was able to input existing policies and procedures within a few hours, which helped to lay the foundation for future use. Having PowerDMS on-boarding readily available was also a huge benefit.

Our previous document product was Image Silo. It was a stable-enough product, but was strictly an indexed filing system. PowerDMS goes well beyond indexing (which it does very well) and provides countless more features and functions as described above. I would describe the difference between our previous product and PowerDMS like the difference between the library and the Internet. Both contain information, but on is limited, while the other has it all.
Created efficient processes for approving document revision
Migrated what originally was a paper system to electronic
Accessible for any employee by logging in, employees do not have to seek out policy and procedure binders, and updated documents can be automatically sent to inboxes when updated.
