GoTo MeetingZoom Rooms
Considered Both Products
GoTo Meeting
Chose GoTo Meeting
It is easy to use and works well for small meetings. Zoom has more features, but GoTo Meeting is simpler and cheaper. We chose it because it’s a good fit for our needs.
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is very similar to DialPad. GoTo Meeting and Dialpad are both cloud-based communication but are very different from one another. Theres less guess work in how to use GoTo Meeting, whereas the Dialpad app took a while getting used to. While I have enjoyed both, …
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is a simpler product and easier to use than teams however it is lacking is some of the features that teams has mainly integration with the rest for the office 365 suite.
Chose GoTo Meeting
Very basic and will require you to likely user other software. I think this is why people prefer to use teams because they can do so much in one place. It is way more than just conferencing.
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is more cross-platform compatible as compared to most of the other alternatives, the interface is more User friendly as compared to most of the other alternatives, it is more affordable as compared to most of the other alternatives, the process of accessing it is …
Chose GoTo Meeting
I find GoTo Meeting sleeker and more professional in it's interface, the connection seems more stable as well.
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is cheaper but in general, both systems are comparable. Webex is also intuitive and offers good audio and video quality as well as basic online meeting features like screen sharing, whiteboard etc. We used GoTo Meeting with some external companies who find Webex …
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting was more affordable and easier to implement than these options.
Chose GoTo Meeting
Microsoft Teams and Skype are really costly than GoTo Meeting. Only GoTo Meeting is best for online weekly or daily review calls.
Chose GoTo Meeting
It was highly recommend and proven to have great quality and easy features for all age employees that I have. Also can be useful on the go and on your cellphone
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is easier to use, with a focus on streamlined controls. The clean and less cluttered meeting environment makes it easier to get things done. The pricing of GoTo Meeting is more competitive than Zoom making it a better option for small businesses like mine. All in …
Chose GoTo Meeting
We find that Google Meet doesn't integrate well externally and you can't managed attendee lists, keep them private, manage follow ups with a record on Google Meet. It's a great service to use for meeting locally with internal collogues but just doesn't meet our needs as our …
Chose GoTo Meeting
At first, I never thought that this platform is existing because I have been exposed to different platform before, not until I was employed in my current company and I can say that it helps me to communicate with my colleague . If there's an urgent concern regarding the task, I …
Chose GoTo Meeting
Skype doesn't allow as many integration as in GoTo Meeting e.g
Calendar Integration with emails
Auto email to participants
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meetings has no time limit for sessions with more than x attendees. GoTo Meetings provides an easy way to allow attendees to share their screens. GoTo Meeting does not require membership/license/registration attendees; they are not required to download the desktop …
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is good for small organizations. For my personal use I prefer google meet but for professional use I like to use GoTo Meeting. It gives a good quality video and audio which is something that make you compare the product with other similar products. The free …
Chose GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is substantially better. Much more reliable and easier for participants to join. We have never had a "zoombomb" with GoTo Meeting but we did with Zoom working with a prospective investor. It was hard to come back from what the client saw! Zoom is not an option for …
Chose GoTo Meeting
For meetings, it stacks reasonably well, although pricey for larger firms.
Chose GoTo Meeting
Many times, it seems like GoTo Meeting requires less bandwidth to run. We noticed with a few test machines that if you have over twenty video streams, this product could handle the load better than if we used Microsoft Teams and had many video streams.
Chose GoTo Meeting
Our CIO made the decision - all the products work well. He travels a lot and preferred the GoTo Meeting mobile app over the other applications' mobile capability. The cost basis was similar to both Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Our users had familiarity with GoTo Meeting which …
Chose GoTo Meeting
I also love that GoTo Meeting has a mobile app for working on the go. If your WiFi isn't working well, you can also dial in to listen to the meeting. Additionally, if you are not able to join at all, there is a recording feature to ensure you are not missing out.
Chose GoTo Meeting
We evaluated both Zoom workplace and GoTo Meeting, but then we decided to go with GoTo Meeting due to it's attractive price offering.
Zoom Rooms
Chose Zoom Rooms
During the evaluation process we found Zoom Rooms to be more reliable on our network and more secure for our students. We enjoyed the controls in the system as well as the flexibility for our staff to teach within their preferences.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Before using Zoom Rooms we had close to 450 endpoints of CISCO Telepresence throughout the state in classrooms and conference rooms. A good product, but could only buy CISCO hardware. No third party hardware available. Zoom innovation has moved the Zoom Room technology …
Chose Zoom Rooms
Zoom Rooms was the first to use proximity technology, the use of broadband is less and the integration it has with harwdare is the simplest there is.
Chose Zoom Rooms
The biggest issue is video quality. Microsoft can reduce video quality, but I don't always see why it does this. Zoom will be at the quality of your account unless there is a significant bandwidth problem. If the quality issue ends, the video quality improves again.
Microsoft …
Chose Zoom Rooms
We switched to Zoom due to the customer service quality with other vendors. Responses came slow and unblocking every country code one by one was a hassle.
Chose Zoom Rooms
It has easy of use collaboration features for meetings.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Better audio and video handling. Ease of use. We have Google as part of our Technology solutions but still purchased Zoom Workplace.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Zoom Workplace is more refined, better audio and video quality and more features. We chose Zoom Workplace because more of our partners and clients felt comfortable with Zoom Workplace.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Zoom has so many more features. The breakout rooms and interpretation were critical reasons we went with Zoom.
Chose Zoom Rooms
We use Zoom for the specific use cases mentioned because it seems to be the best tool for those use cases. Other tools are in use for other use cases in our enterprise, as well as because of the pricing structure for the tool.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Both work very well, but users had more familiarity with Zoom.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Zoom Rooms is far superior from initial installation, backend management, and user experience though that seems to be changing with time as more and more products and features are added it is becoming more bloated and complicated to manage the service.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Google Meet, Webex App and Microsoft Teams
Chose Zoom Rooms
Zoom room is much more easy to use, integrates with wide range of audio visual products, supports multi screens "up to 3 screens with confidant screen" smart name tag. multi share and automated translation.
Chose Zoom Rooms
Microsoft Teams Rooms, Webex Meetings, Polycom RealPresence Immersive Studio and Google Meet
Chose Zoom Rooms
We were previously with RingCentral/Mitel for our business phone solution. Switching over to Zoom Phone and integrating it with our existing Zoom account has allowed us to drop our phone expenses by over 75% AND get rid of our gigantic desk phones!
Chose Zoom Rooms
I personally think Zoom Rooms is superior to Teams. I have setup 3 or 4 Zooms Rooms for my organisation and it is pretty straightforward to do without any formal training or education on Zoom Rooms. My experience with Teams was the opposite. A horrible interface and options …
Chose Zoom Rooms
I think Zoom Rooms is probably the best
Chose Zoom Rooms
My understanding is that we would need to upgrade this feature in Google Workspace, so there was not a significant cost savings. We felt that the meeting recordings and webinar as well as Zoom Room features in Zoom Workspace made it the better choice for us.

User Testimonials
GoTo MeetingZoom Rooms

Microsoft Teams has always given us issues if we run an extensive meeting with more than 30 participants. Often, HR would train many people at once, and call quality would degrade or crash. This provides a good alternative when Teams is not working correctly, but we must continue orientation or training. It is inappropriate for all meetings since we are embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem, and Teams integrates well with SharePoint.

User friendly, reliable and inclusive to remote audiences. The product grows organically for us which speaks for itself ; the business at sites we could not equip with our initial investments requests it. We have made the choice of Zoom rooms 5 years ago and it is still one our our star products supporting frictionless collaboration.

Pros
  • Calendar Scheduling: It prepares us for all meetings, automatically sends reminders, and ensures we never miss a meeting.
  • Ease of Scheduling: Scheduling a meeting is straightforward and saves us a lot of time.
  • The screen-sharing feature allows us to present documents and plans effortlessly during client calls.
  • We use the recording feature extensively for training purposes, especially for the onboarding of new members.

  • Zoom Rooms is built on the Zoom platform so faculty already know it and use it.
  • All touch panels regardless of manufacturer have the same look and feel.
  • Easy to schedule, easy to use.
  • Supports a wide range of hardware from several vendors.

Cons
  • Lack of security updates (Not sure if they are taking care of but they should make users aware of it frequently)
  • Brand recognition improvement (Specifically in the US market where many customers still prefer Zoom)
  • Many prospects still consider GoTo as a legacy platform compared to Meet, Teams, Zoom. This is not a missing feature but GoTo team should really position themselves as innovative rather than pre-existing perceived notion of being legacy.

  • Support is prompt, but not always the most immediately knowledgable or helpful.
  • Admin portal is convoluted. There's gotta be a better way to assign scheduling permisissions.
  • Zoom account managers are constantly being reassigned. It is nearly impossible to keep track of who presently is our account manager. When we were going through the process of looking into Zoom Phone, our manager was literally switched twice, resulting in us working with three total managers during that two-month process.

We used other software like goto meetings but found it best because of its user friendly interface and easy interfacing. It helped us in COVID and now we can say we are depending on it and love it. We recommend it to our friends company and they are also using it. It is very affordable and easy to integrate with system

Usability
The simplicity of GoToMeetings desktop, mobile, and web-based applications make it a very robust and user-friendly meeting solution. At times, it may be more complex than needed, but it is nice to have so many features that can be used if needed. Once installed, it is very easy to use and navigate.

User friendliness (experience very similar to the already familiar Zoom app), consistency of the UX across locations and manufacturers. Screen sharing is made super easy (proximity). Zoom rooms support strategic needs for Hybrid work and reduced travels. Backend admin interface is simple (that's good) and provides useful dashboards for trend analysis.

When we have issues, they seem to respond quickly and do everything they can to help us. They have even tried to find other ways we could get more use out of their product, or improve the way we are currently using it. Overall, their support has been fairly good for us.

I personally think Zoom Rooms is superior to Teams. I have setup 3 or 4 Zooms Rooms for my organisation and it is pretty straightforward to do without any formal training or education on Zoom Rooms. My experience with Teams was the opposite. A horrible interface and options deliberately hidden away in menus levels deep. On top of which, Zoom Room outperforms Teams Rooms in both video and audio. On the desktop, Teams is a bloated app whereas, in my experience, Zoom Rooms works well.

  • Great value for money as used it more than planned after installation.
  • Finding the use of screen share and whiteboards is becoming very popular and meant we wanted a larger screen for this. ;-)
