Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Studio (discontinued)
We chose Hootsuite over Buffer, Sprout Social, and Later for its comprehensive dashboard, robust analytics, and support for multiple team members and social networks. While Buffer and Later are great for simplicity and visuals, and Sprout excels in CRM, Hootsuite offers a …
I was introduced to Hootsuite by a colleague and quickly adopted it because it meets all my social media management needs. Its scheduling, monitoring, and analytics tools allow me to maintain a consistent and engaging presence without daily effort. Since it streamlines my …
SproutSocial comes out on top but the (much) higher price point reflects that. I chose Hootsuite as a more budget friendly solution, with similar features
Compared to Later, Hootsuite offers greater flexibility in content creation and planning, allowing for more comprehensive and tailored strategies across various social platforms. Additionally, Hootsuite excels in providing a wider array of training resources and detailed …
Hootsuite is all-encompassing and does not try to hide features behind paywalls. When you do not have a feature based on your chosen plan, it does not present the option like other platforms tend to do.
More simplicity in use.Offer to manage several social networks very competitive, but with a structure that is not always transparent. The biggest handycap of this platform (from Hootsuite) is its price.
With Meta Business Manager, you are limited to posting on Facebook and Instagram. Whereas with Hootsuite, you do not have these limitations and can post beyond these two platforms. I do enjoy using Meta Business Manager. It has some of the same features as Hootsuite and there's …
I do find Hootsuite to be more user-friendly, cleaner, and includes much more reporting for the price. Sprout Social charges quite a bit more for fewer reports and fewer included aspects, like listening and ads. The interface is more aesthetically pleasing, as well, and seems …
Sprout is a superior product and has more in-depth features, however, they are more expensive than Hootsuite. Sprout has great customer support and also offers many training options. I haven't noticed that with Hootsuite. It's easy to navigate both of their interfaces - I don't …
For those who have limited time to spend scheduling, analyzing, and reporting on social media metrics, Hootsuite makes it easy to get the job done, done well, and impress leadership. For our nonprofit, it offers all of the benefits that many others offer, but makes it easy to …
Sprinklr is far superior for user engagement. However, as far as I know, it does not have post scheduling or maintenance. I would recommend Hootsuite over Khoros and Social Studio.
HubSpot and SocialPilot suck they're not that easy to use. Later does stack up against Hootsuite with features already mentioned. They also have more color and branding on their website and I know that's a small thing but I'm surprised Hootsuite is all white.
Our team had a budget of $1000 annually for a social media management tool. We wanted functionality like Sprout Social but we couldn't afford the price tag. Hootsuite was our next best because we got almost all or similar functions of Sprout Social within our budget and more! …
Tried trials of other software and was disappointed compared to Hootsuite.com. Buffer and Later.com had limited functionality. MetaBusiness Suite and MailChimp offer a limited number of platforms you can post too. HubSpot and SproutSocial were extremely costly and geared toward …
There's no doubt that Hootsuite is the industry leader when it comes to social media scheduling and monitoring. I find integrating channels easiest on Hootsuite (once you can find where to do it on your dashboard). In the past year I've also noticed fewer and fewer …
Metricool is free and we can shedule up to 50 posts per month, however Hootsuite allows us to do just a little bit more. For the price Agorapulse and Hootsuite are in tight competition but we prefer the Hootsuite format, although some chamber partners do find it a bit on the …
I think the two are extremely comparable, however, the social listening on sprout is more advanced and they can use your account data from up to two years back. Hootsuite is B Corporation though, which is preferred for our vendors.
Hootsuite lacks many features as i've said before. I think their reporting is also not as great as other platforms. I find the interface really messy and hard to navigate. The metrics also vary a lot between platforms which makes comparing success between channels very …

Radian6 is one of the popular social media monitoring tools, There are many features of the Radian6 that I can vote for over other tools. The important ones are the seamless Salesforce integration, The data presentation capabilities, Multiple profiles feature, keyword cloud. …

Given that Social Studio has 3 key functions, it appeals to three key audiences who may or may not be in the same team. Therefore it is a nice tool when considering uptake outside of one team within an organization. It is a simple and effective approach to fulfilling a number …

Being the most popular and advanced social media monitoring tool, it's scalable and covers a wide range list of social media platforms allowing you to connect with other cloud-based CRM systems like Salesforce. Social Media for brand monitoring requires a dedicated high-end and …

We chose to use Social Studio when it was still called Radian6, before the acquisition by Salesforce. The product was really realiable and full of features that, at that time, were suitable for our purposes. At the time there were practically no competitors for size and …

Social Studio is most comparable to Meltwater in that they both have very basic analytics capabilities, but pull in mass amounts of data. Crimson Hexagon, Sprinklr and Cision all have much more advanced social media analytics capabilities, although they are potentially more …
Chose Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Studio (discontinued)
We do not make the decision for tools in most cases, however Social Studio does out-weigh all other tools on the Social Listening aspect. It is not just key-words the way most tools are. This also allows you to personalize the source, including magazines, forums etc web-wide. …

I liked Radian6 better on the basis of the information that it could report on. I liked seeing the Share of Voice and NUVI had trouble pulling the competitor and industry-wide information that we needed to show our share of voice. NUVI has a nice interface, but I think Radian6 …

Social studio is far superior to any other platforms I've used because everything is seamlessly integrated, the UI is amazing and the platform is user friendly. The ability to work in teams, in shared workspaces, with shared calendars, the ability to share content across …

We were using HooteSuite in the beginning as it was the only scheduling tool that worked for us, but since SS has include the scheduling, it has been our only social posting tool of use.

Radian6 offers the most comprehensive categorization while also covering the rest of what we need reasonably well. Every other tool I've evaluated has its strength, but Radian6 just ticks off more boxes across the board.

Compared to Radian6, I found Meltwater Buzz, Simply Measured, and Sprout Social to be much more user friendly. Meltwater Buzz and Radian6 are very similar products with many of the same functionalities but Buzz presents your analytics in a way that is much easier to understand. …

Personally, Radian6 is the lesser of evils. Every social monitoring engine seems to have it's weaknesses. Constantly being in the nuts and bolts of the data, as a team we are able to dissect the tool and focus on what the tool does well. IMO, the tool has the least number of …

Buddy Media was more simple to use vs. Virtue, when it came to a content management standpoint. Wildfire was our go-to content platform, until Buddy Media created a facet of managing online contests themselves and we chose to switch. Dachis' offering was a bunch of dirty data, …

Hootsuite is a great tool and we prefer it to some of the others out there. The only negative is the price point and the fact that it keeps going up with no regard to the small non-profits that have been using it for years. After mentioning that the system is great and the fact that we can integrate and customize the posting for each social media site without having to be jumping from one system to the other makes it ideal for a small team doing multiple projects or things at the same time.
Social studio is well-suited for environments where multiple social media channels are being managed by more than one individual, allowing for shared access and collaboration. There's no reason it wouldn't work equally as well for an individual user without a team needing shared access.
Because of the way algorithms works, we would have loved to be able to automate making a post with no link and posting the first comment with a link (hello LinkedIn)
We would have loved an easy way to post from a main account and repost the post for other accounts we administrate, for instance a corporate post reposted by individuals for LinkedIn, or retweets from one main account by child accounts
The export or raw data can be tedious. Currently, the tool exports a 10,000 mention bulk CSV file. When dealing with larger brands like Nike, you are looking at well over 300K posts for a year. Parallel to this, is the lack of an exportable sample of data.
Each widget can only showcase 3 months worth of data. So creating a trend line of volume of mentions must be done in 3 separate widgets and requires the user to manually piece them together.
Though the tool consistently brings back the most volume, the data is not always clean. Within the data crawl, twitter user names are also scraped for your kewords, so going back to the above example, if your keyword is nike, and someone's twitter handle is @IhateNike, the post is often irrelevant to the brand.
Though I find the tool quite easy to use, new users often tell me that the tool is incredibly confusing and not an intuitive process.
Lack of Facebook posts, though this is a limitation of all social monitoring tools given the privacy settings of the social network
Lacking the ability to input Boolean Syntax limits the depth of the keyword queries.
At this time we are satisfied that Hootsuite offers the most of what we are looking for at the most reasonable price point. As the social media landscape and monitoring/scheduling software changes, so do our needs. We re-evaluate our tools semi-annually or as new tools emerge onto the market. If we find at any point that we aren't gaining an advantage, then we are open to switching products.
Our company's contract with Radian6 was up in January and we came to the unanimous agreement that we would look for another software. For the 18 months we had Radian6, very few employees knew how to use it and we were ready to try something new
Hootsuite is probably the easiest to use social media scheduler of all the ones that I've used. It's been easy to teach clients how to use the software themselves and it can be accessed easily on anyone's phone through their mobile app. Highly recommend for anyone that wants a software that is easy to learn!
• Would rate this a 6. The User Interface is pretty intuitive, but the platform was still considered pretty intimidating by our non-technical staff when they first saw it. It took a while to get used to it and feel comfortable. There was quite a lot of setup work in the beginning (for example, we had to build our own reports using a canned report as a template, and this was not simple). Although it took a while to get it setup correctly, it’s quite intuitive once that work has been done.
Gliches have made it a bit of a bind, particularly when you just want to 'click and send' a web article after you have read it - and then you have to deal with support (a great team but not always able to solve the problems with the gliches). Gliches with it loading properly, gliches with 'double ups in FB on the posts (the personal page and the business page if both clicked will lead to 2 lots of postings to each page!)
HootSuite does everything it is designed to do very well: the product's performance is very reliable and efficient. Like other tools, there is always a room for new developments and updates, and the HootSuite team recognizes this and focuses on new development as well.
I can manage all of my accounts on one site! It's absolutely amazing! The dashboard is helpful to see how you are doing as well. Still getting to understand the analytics and may need to reach out for help on this
As mentioned previously, it can be hard to get through to people who can help you. On occasion when I have spoken to customer service/tech support, they all seem nice and try to be helpful, however instead of admitting the system cannot do certain things, they will persist it saying that it can, which results in many wasted hours overall.
Would rate it a 10. We received two hours of online training and it was of very high-quality. HootSuite also offers HootSuite University which is an extremely comprehensive training portal with self-paced quizzes, training webinars and videos, best-practice papers, product certification, and access to a network of external experts. This is a fantastic resource.
• We initially received dedicated online training for our team which was delivered by our account rep. This was pretty effective since it happened after our data had been loaded into the system and it had been configured for specific needs our organization. The training was perhaps a bit shallow though, as it was only an hour long. Online videos are available to be taken individually, and these have been useful.
Simple and easy to use, and have never had any issues. We like how it saves me time and allows me to plan in advance. I plan on using this for as long as I can and will encourage others to use it too. If you haven't tried it you should. I hope my review is helpful to everyone.
Implementation was pretty simple. Just a matter of giving the account rep a list of our search terms and having him set the system up to pull the data we wanted to see. Once this had been done, we tweaked it with his help. Process was pretty smooth, although there was some back and forth until it worked the way we wanted.
Hootsuite offers a wide range of tools at a somewhat steeper cost. If you manage multiple platforms and want to survey the content being shared and interacted with across all of them, Hootsuite seems to have an easier platform to do that with. HubSpot CRM allows us to integrate our social platforms into our existing CRM, which is a cost saver, but Hootsuite is social media-focused, so the set-up is easier.
Radian6 is one of the popular social media monitoring tools, There are many features of the Radian6 that I can vote for over other tools. The important ones are the seamless Salesforce integration, The data presentation capabilities, Multiple profiles feature, keyword cloud. Despite the fact that the license is costly, the features and the integrations(specially SFDC) provided are very handful and worth the money.
Hootsuite has positively improved our overall engagement of our accounts. We went from an average of a 5% engagement rate across all accounts to a 12% engagement.
Hootsuite has positively improved our ability to target certain demographics on social media advertising through their analytics. We have seen CTR increase of 2% which is impressive for our industry.
Monitoring social brand awareness is not something you can consider to have a meaninful impact in your business ROI short term, however it's a must for taking care of long term relationships and customer intimacy.
Radian6 connects with other analytical tools like webtrends, Google Analytics, etc..however it's not directly linked to a revenue driven platform, you can´t see the immediate ROI generated in the tool.
If you bet for social relationships you should consider this tool, no question on that. Social Commerce might be of course impacted postively by the proper use of this tool.
