Chose ManageEngine Endpoint Central
ManageEngine Endpoint Central was easier to use and more cost effective in the long run. It also provided a great integration with Service Desk Plus under one umbrella of products.
I had already used SCCM in other companies, but when I joined the company I'm currently in, I started using Endpoint Central and I've been incredibly satisfied with the service and support.
We did not use ManageEngine Endpoint Central over intune specifically, we run the solutions in parallel. This is ideal, as intune allows surface devices to be shipped and enrolled (no imaging, PXE or any intervention needed) The huge advantage of intune is we can ship the …
I chose ManageEngine Endpoint Central because it allows me to update devices, deploy configurations, install software, remotely patch, and monitor vulnerabilities.
Elegi ManageEngine Endpoint Central porque me permite actualizar equipos, desplegar configuraciones, instalar …
While some of these other Windows MDM solutions had some small improvements for something ManageEngine Endpoint Central does not have, I still find that ManageEngine Endpoint Central still has the biggest library, if you will, for functionality.
It holds up very well even against the microsoft native solution Microsoft Intune. The Configurations are easy to set up and apply quickly over the selected scope of Clients. You have a almost real time inventory of everything detected by the agent.
I tend to use a combination of solutions to keep the estate running efficiently. ManageEngine Endpoint Central has more control over the timing of patching for users. Juggling users being able to work and keeping systems up to date with user satisfaction in mind is a monthly …
Easier to implement, the agent can be deployed faster, the agent consumes fewer system resources. (TR) Einfacher zu implementieren, der Agent lässt sich schneller ausrollen, der Agent verbraucht weniger Systemressourcen
Dollar for dollar, ManageEngine seems to be the most bang for your buck self-hosted solution. NinjaOne is cloud deployment only which can really add up over time, and KACE while better for scripting and asset management charges a premium for all of the extra modules that are …
The reporting on scripts is far better in ManageEngine, always showing the latest result. Unlike Intune which can run a script every day, but the "Report" only shows the result from the first time the script ran, it never refreshes. When we have had issues where the LAPS …
Splashtop Enterprise was easier for our clients to use than LogMeIn Rescue that we used to use. It is a more lightweight and robust feeling software. The biggest benefit for us was the cost of Splashtop vs LogMeIn.
Teamviewer is good for IT support individual remote computers, when doing connection, what we need is only remote party's ID and password, no other authentication is needed. The authentication is verbally over the phone when IT talks to the supported customers. However, this is …
I prefer TeamViewer but it costs a lot more. We do also use TeamViewer for unattended access but the cost is so great that we might look at alternatives when our license expires. If the price was not an issue I would pick TeamViewer Quick Support over Splashtop SOS but for …
cost, it is only a fraction of the cost of Teamviewer, also, same number of features for remote desktop but more new features for remote IT management of the computers with the client installed. No brainer.
Teamviewer and Logmein were just to expensive, VNC has issues with windows 10 and RDP requires port forwarding in the router, so its fine for servers, but not ideal as a remote support system. Splashtop was easier or cheaper than anything else we tried.
Splashtop Business Enterprise is actually easier to implement and get it up and running, all users have to do is download the standard or personalize file and run it, then share the code with you and you are all set to go, i like it because you can even do it from your phone if …
After evaluating several possible remote support products, Splashtop SOS represented the best value for money to a small business owner. This was largely due to its tiered licensing structure, with the base Splashtop SOS solution providing all the features I needed. This …
[In my experience] TeamViewer is just too expensive for what I consider marginal benefit. Splashtop SOS works incredibly well, and while [I feel] TeamViewer does have a performance edge, I just can't justify the massive increase in cost. Plus, to my knowledge, TeamViewer's …
It's certainly not as feature rich or the same level of remote management system, but Splashtop SOS is a fraction of the cost and does exactly what I need it to do.
Simply put, Splashtop SOS works. The remote control feature of SOTI's MobiControl just didn't work for us. We spent countless hours working with SOTI to get additional apps to support remote control for various Lenovo tablets. It was a huge burden and it just didn't work. …
I have not looked at TeamViewer in quite some time but I found Splashtop SOS for me to be at least a 1 to 1 feature switch. And right now connecting to mobile devices to see a customers screen is included with Splashtop SOS and it is a real value add. I hope it says that way. …
I find that Splashtop SOS is as easy or easier to use. LogMeIn was a very great deal more expensive and I would not be able to regain much return on that investment.
Splashtop SOS is significantly more affordable than its competitors for smaller operations like ours. The base subscription is more than adequate for our use, whereas most competitors overkill single-user capacity. Additionally, competitive products frequently restrict the …
Initially, it was the cost but, I almost went with TeamViewer because at the time of evaluation Splashtop [SOS] did not support user switching while staying connected (running as a service). This was a deal-breaker for me due to my clients not being an admin. I was going to go …
Patch management is a HUGE time saver. Simply being able to push patches out to devices without having to physically go around to each one save a ton of time. Inventory tracking has also helped us better manage equipment. We are all human and make mistakes, and this helps to eliminate or catch many of those mistakes. With ManageEngine Endpoint Central scans showing us who is using the device and what else is plugged into it, saves us from having to search for devices when they are being refreshed.
Well Suited for Remote users with PCs needing to login to specific remote PC's. It is less functional for remote users on Cell phones although Cell phone users can look on the remote PC to see if they need to logon from a desktop to conduct transactions
It helps to facilitate the administration of a network of workstations and servers.
The deployment of applications and updates is very easy to implement, and greatly facilitates keeping workstations and servers up to date.
The commissioning of the solution is very simple, and with the help of the external gateway, it allows for the supervision of all equipment, as long as they have internet access.
We can manage multiple mobile fleets, with user smartphones on one side and industrial smartphones with specific missions on the other. The possibility of applying a kiosk mode is not negligible.
Unbelievable performance! It's so fast I tested a PC game through it just for fun, and it was incredible!
The increase in productivity throughout our organization has been notable. The flexibility of employees to occasionally work remotely, when needed, has been hugely beneficial.
Enterprise IT tools like One-to-Many actions has saved us a lot of time and headache in certain situations, such as deploying a basic MSI or script. SOS has been a saving grace for some employees to receive remote IT support in emergency situations, as well.
Splashtop had a functionality issue with a Mac OS upgrade recently that prevented remote access for about two weeks. I had to request tickets directly and they had known about the impending issue without a collaborative solution between them and Apple.
Better Beta testing for version upgrades is always needed. Software is constantly changing so these types of platforms need to be at the forefront of resolving interoperability issues with Mac, Windows, Linux, etc.
The tech support for the issue I experience could have been more proactive. I was providing my client's IT provider and Splashtop with updates on the bug issue, where it should have been the other way around.
Given these factors, organizations would individually assess their experience with Endpoint Central to determine its renewal likelihood. If you're considering renewal, it might be helpful to gather feedback from users within your organization, review performance metrics, and assess how well Endpoint Central aligns with your current and future endpoint management needs.
I believe that I will renew Splashtop without any problems in the coming years as eating stable costs without increases even in critical periods such as the Covid virus, Splashtop allows access to 25 unattended stations and has continuous updates and new features. It also allows resale to users with sub-accounts
The application itself is great. However, I have little insight to what the patches are doing. Being able to see patch download progress, not just the status, would be great. The user interface could also use an overhaul. The countless menus, sometimes containing similar if not duplicate tabs can be frustrating to navigate.
It's hard to find any significant faults with Splashtop. It offers a very responsive remote access experience with clear and simple interface. There's very little learning curve as it's toolbar mimics other popular remote access solutions graphical user interface. It's gives you access to your remote computer quickly and stays out of your way
I've never had any issues with it, nor any connectivity issues. They always say when they'll be maintaining the system and it's always in the odd hours, so nobody uses then. But I've never had any issues.
The immediate chat support is great and very helpful. However, if you need escalated support or have a deeper need that the chat tool can't help with, you will experience significant wait times and slow responses. The time zone difference becomes painful to the point of often just giving up.
Splashtop has good customer support - they respond quickly and provide adequate solutions, but we honestly rarely find ourselves needing to reach out to them. The software is so easy to use and about as plug-and-play as it gets, so we generally don't run into an issue that does not have an immediate, obvious solution provided in the software.
It couldn't have been any easier to setup and I have had no issues with it since it was implemented. It's a great product and makes remotely connecting to another device so simple and quick. I can't recommend it enough
Kaseya's system of handling patch management was not as intuitive as Endpoint Central, however in some respects it was easier to set up. Kaseya VSA and ConnectWise are also more geared towards managed service providers that handle multiple organizations versus a single company's IT department, which Endpoint Central seems more designed for. Intune, while helpful for machine management, does not have the level of overall endpoint management and inventory management and is better used alongside another endpoint management tool
Splashtop Business Enterprise is actually easier to implement and get it up and running, all users have to do is download the standard or personalize file and run it, then share the code with you and you are all set to go, i like it because you can even do it from your phone if necessary
It's a product that allows us to work remotely and access our servers from anywhere in the world. Our team works from different parts of the world and it's a great tool for us.
We have been able resolve and complete any requests which include things like software deployment or issues that include troubleshooting, much faster and more efficiently. This has had a sharp decrease in our response times and also time it takes to complete these requests or incidents.
The mobile device management features have allowed us to be able to have a much tighter grip on security. This means we have dramtically decreased our device vulnerabilities and risk of data breaches. This has saved us lots of time and money.
The remote features that are available have helped a lot with user's being able to work remotely and allow our organisation to sustain hybrid work. It means user's can still be as productive and IT support is as efficient no matter where the user is working.
Since we cannot utilize an enterprise-level POS system, Splashtop bridges the data gap between our store locations and our headquarters. This is what enables us to function. Without remote terminal access, our business would be unable to operate. Period. I can't overstate this.
