Maxio (via information we found on their website and in the initial sales call) seemed like the most comprehensive fit at the time and we liked the interface. We eventually found out that there was a massive gap between what was promised us and what was actually delivered. …
I inherited SaaSOptics from several predecessors that worked on it before me. I believe they used Chargebee or Chargify before SaaSOptics, but I haven't used them. I pray that the market comes up with a better product for subscription revenue management, SaaS metric reporting, …
The reporting is better than what I've used in other products. I have been very impressed with the range and availability of the metrics. It's been a few years since I used Recurly regularly, but I have no need to look elsewhere for billing management needs after working with …
QuickBooks is what we originally used for invoicing, but we outgrew that and it was taking up a lot of time to manually create invoices. We also were tracking invoicing on an Excel spreadsheet for 500 customers, so there was a lot of room for error. SaaSOptics eliminated these …
Chargify is easier to use and manage. The Achilles heel is the 3rd-party integrations, where the options are limited. If managing a few products or businesses, this can be the more ideal option. WooCommerce has easy integration with WordPress but it requires the help of …
We did not evaluate other options. We decided to go with Chargify based on the ease of use and the ability to have multiple sites within one account. It accomplished what we needed to and for a price that was within our budget. At the time, Chargify was a great fit and we …
The other products (QuickBooks and Salesforce) are complementary to SaaSOptics. I have not used any products that compete directly with SaaSOptics although I understand there are several out there.
Insight squared did not integrate with HubSpot which is what we use as our CRM. We chose SaaSOptics because it offered GAAP compliant revenue recognition, great reporting, and the user experience quality was high.
Zuora is a B2C subscription billing system best used for companies like Netflix. For a B2B company, the sales process can be much more complex and Zuora was never able to handle that. For the 2 years we struggled with Zuora (now referred to the dark ages within our company) we …
We evaluated Recurly early on but rejected it because at the time it did not support the payment gateway we needed, and lacked some metered billing stuff that we needed. I understand they now have improved, but we did not go back to re-try them.
We evaluated several recurring billing services - but Chargify was the only one we found that supported our current merchant portal. They had the widest selection of merchant portals - and the most competitive service fees.
We previously used another recurring processor. Although their product worked well and was much cheaper, their customer service became increasingly less responsive. Chargify's API is equally easy to implement as our previous recurring payment processor..
Pricing ends up being pretty close across the board with their main competitors. What it came down to for us is having a vendor that went the extra mile and we felt that Chagify met that and they have exceeded that expectation.
This software is so complex we can say that Salesforce works so much better in the interface. Also, the features provided by Salesforce are far better than this software. It also includes Storing data, API development, and so many other functionalities which help a developer …
This has better product capabilities like Manage Order, Mobile, pricing module, select product offers service channel. What I like best is the integration with Salesforce, the ability to create and connect opportunities and there is a lot of flexibility in this tool. It has a …
There is no comparison to a fully functional instance of CPQ. Nothing comes close due to the amount of customization and ease of use that CPQ offers once it's fully built out. Other solutions may be easier to build or administer, but for the users and business needs, CPQ is the …
SalesForce Revenue Cloud has been leaps and bounds ahead of the softwares I used to use! I had used Google Sheets at first (since it was free), then bought Excel briefly thinking that would suffice as a good CRM layout. Turns out I was wrong and needed something more. Revenue …
This program is just more advanced and customizable. It worked for our diverse team needs considering the size and complexity of our portfolio. This was just the right choice for us. The other CRM's were great for smaller-scale enterprises at the time that I used them.
Salesforce CPQ [(formerly SteelBrick)] seamlessly integrates with Salesforce allowing us to have less integrations to manage. Releases don't break a connection causing delays in the sales process.
Salesforce stacks well in terms of features like lead, quote and pricing management than other software like Zoho, bichon, agile or Hubspot, personally I believe if the entire set of tools and solutions provided by Salesforce are employed they would work like a well-oiled …
Salesforces CPQ compares very highly to Apparound CPQ, because of the integration with the Salesforce platform. Because of the integration with the regular Salesforce platform, the tools work interchangeably with one another. This process creates a great deal of efficiency, and …
CPQ is a more inline, integrated and user-friendly product compared to Apttus's offering. The fact that it was bought and embedded by Salesforce into the platform and the support that entails, was the big differentiator for us.
It is a strong offering if your a Salesforce customer. We previously used Panda Doc and the integration with Saleforce was just not robust enough as we've expanded. Panda Doc allowed for much more customization and control of templates. However, the pricing rules, …
It was not my choice to move to Salesforce CPQ. Our organization chose to move to this platform because Octiv gave the reps too much flexibility. They wanted to tighten the reins. Everyone hates Salesforce CPQ and the guy who implemented it isn't even at the company anymore.
We looked into using BigMachines and FPX but decided to implement Apttus many years ago. The Apttus implementation never went live after several hiccups along the way and we shifted our focus to Salesforce CPQ which has had it's moments as well. Overall, Salesforce CPQ is the …
Almost a no brainer as we already heavily use SalesForce. This process allowed for everything to be in one place. As stated before, it is better than our old solution because it pulls a lot of the info from the option for you, allows for you to cross-function with services …
CPQ is much more intuitive and user-friendly than JDE. JDE is clunky and was not native to the Oracle CRM tool, which created problems when it came to quote creation and consistency in how deals are moved through the pipeline. We chose CPQ because we were already using SFDC as …
SaaSOptics is awesome for growing companies that want to automate their invoicing. I like that it is also aimed at subscription based sales structures rather than sales that occur at a single point in time (but has the ability to support both). SaaSOptics makes it super easy to keep track of subscriptions, renewals, co-terms, etc. The reporting is a great feature, but we are unable to use most of the reports as we are a cash-based accounting firm. SO caters to accrual accounting and GAAP compliant firms which makes sense as it is the most commonly accepted accounting basis here in the US, but many small SaaS start-ups are still operating on cash basis. We are one of those companies, so we are able to get a ton of use out of the invoicing side of things, a lot of the reports are useless for us. We also wish SO had a commission module since we already integrate our CRM and accounting softwares into it, but that is not a make it or break it for us. We love the time SO has saved us.
CPQ is great if you can devote the time to it to make it perfect for your sales team. It requires a lot of time and energy to build it out and customize, but once that's done it is one of the most powerful tools you will have. Having an expert in CPQ is really helpful as well.
Salesforce CPQ is great for being able to quickly and easily build product bundles in an intuitive and visually appealing way.
The product catalog and ability to easily add fields to product records makes setting up products really simple and adds a lot of value to reporting within Salesforce.
Basic product and configuration rules are very easy to understand and set up.
Our Salesforce is very messy, which tells me it's not super easy to clean up.
I always have a really hard time removing a contacts from an account - it seems like you can't simply remove the relationship so we have lots of people named DO NOT CONTACT or things of that nature.
Sometimes when saving it doesn't seem like things actually save.
They are willing to help with most challenges and are pretty easy to get ahold of by phone. They are limited in their reach, when it comes to bulk cancellations, along with some other bulk edits. It is no fault to them, Chargify is just a system that hasn’t been upgraded much over the years.
There have been some issues with multi-year pricing of certain products and services which we have been assured will be resolved but I guess are still underway, the support team apart from this has not been needed much and in the rare scenarios, it has been needed the resolutions of conflicts has been prompt and quick, so the overall support would have my high regards for being so helpful and customer-oriented so as to assure good performance of their toolset and customer satisfaction.
Maxio (via information we found on their website and in the initial sales call) seemed like the most comprehensive fit at the time and we liked the interface. We eventually found out that there was a massive gap between what was promised us and what was actually delivered. Below is an excerpt to an email that we sent to the technical solutions consultant and sales rep three months after purchase: "I am, however, frustrated that a solution promised in the demo call ended up being a solution that was so cumbersome that 1) no one knew how to implement it except [tech consultant], who I was never able to get ahold of 2) it delayed our launch by two months and resulted in real frustration for my team and thousands of dollars in lost revenue and 3) brought more effort and annoyance to our customers than we were anticipating. I'm bringing this to your attention because I strongly feel that there has been a discrepancy between possible solutions and actual solutions. It is frustrating to make a purchase decision based on features discussed during a demo call, develop a plan of action based on what was discussed, and then have to iterate for months on end. It is also frustrating to hear that something is an "easy" solution by one team member and then hear it is "difficult and not recommended" by another."
This has better product capabilities like Manage Order, Mobile, pricing module, select product offers service channel. What I like best is the integration with Salesforce, the ability to create and connect opportunities and there is a lot of flexibility in this tool. It has a very user-friendly platform & navigation across pages is the best Also I like how fast I can create quotes. I also like how detailed you can get with reporting. Any possible metric we can think of can be tracked, measured, and integrated.
SaaSOptics has helped decrease the time spent on month-end. Their reporting is always accurate and reconciling deferred revenue is no longer a headache.
Increased accuracy in billing which has decreased the amount of invoice inquiries by our clients.
Sped up the quote-to-cash process with Salesforce.com and Stripe integration. Sales orders are processed faster and customers are utilizing "buttons" on invoices to submit payment details.
Increased our ability to stay on top of past due invoices with new collections module.
The metrics in SaaSOptics has improved financial presentations by providing more insight into our business.
Easy access to reporting on closed-won, closed-lost, and open quotes.
Accuracy in data referenced in a quote - it's typically accurate as it is pulled directly from opportunity, looking up to associated subscription start/end dates, etc..
We lose valuable time in creating quotes ourselves. Quotes were requested and created through sales ops previously, sales did not have access to the excel templates used to generate quotes.
