I’ve used other platforms in the past, but once I started using Omnisend, I knew I didn’t want to switch. No doubts. It’s always evolving, always on track.
Omnisend was easier to use than Mailchimp from a non techy user. In my opinion, the change in ownership of Mailchimp has resulted in drastic, draconian and totally over the top reaction against loyal ethical customers without care or concern.
For email campaigns we use Omnisend since the beginning. For product reviews, we used to have Yotpo app but we got rid off it as it got expensive with volume increase on our platform. Also, they did not consider our custom domain request. So, we switch to Omnisend for that as …
We can create marketing campaigns that can span across multiple channels so that we can reach more customers regardless of the platform they are using. The system combines multiple channels into a single workflow for maximum engagement. Comes with various features that make it …
I would say Omnisend is fairly similar in UX, usability, pre-built content templates, and customizable features. I chose Omnisend because it seemed simple to start and the price was within budget. The list segmentation and contact import features feel superior to the other …
By far, Omnisend is my preferred mail software. The program has several customizations and options in the free plan that you do not receive on other mail software programs.
At first I went through the standard choice, which is MailChimp. It's a nice-looking program and everything, but I wouldn't say they're user-friendly. It's quite techy and when you have an ecommerce store you really just want to get the results. It's a lot of work to create …

In addition to using Vertical Response personally I also manage email marketing for clients that already use Mailchimp, Robly and Constant Contact. While most of these platforms all offer similar features I choose Vertical Response first if the client does not have a platform …
Vertical Response is most akin to Constant Contact. No frills, agile, easy to use. The one advantage that it has over Constant Contact is that you don't need to be locked into a month-to-month plan, which is what I needed. Salesforce and HubSpot aren't fair comparisons--these …
I think Vertical Response is a lot more user-friendly than Constant Contact and allows for more features that constant contact does not. I like the email WYSIWYG feature better on here and it allows us to preview our emails before we send them out to our entire customer base.
Vertical Response was already in use when I joined the organization. It was selected for affordability. In comparison to other email marketing platforms, it was harder to use for an end user, but we were able to hire a developer to create some custom templates, and that worked …
Pardot is a good tool but with the cost you will get a better value from Vertical Response and easier design capabilities. MailChimp is a widely used tool but I found the list segmentation and general template at Vertical Response to be better.
I am a true believer in Vertical Response. So much so, that this is the first and only software I have used for this type of marketing. When this program was first launched it was a godsend - truly innovative for its time. And in the years since, I have continued to implement …
ExactTarget, MailChimp. I liked VerticalResponse's integration with Salesforce. We used MailChimp before and it says on their website they have integration with Salesforce, but we were never able to find it on the Force.com website.
For ExactTarget, we used that in the past and …

So, when everything goes smoothly, all companies seem great. But the real test comes when things go wrong — that’s when you see a company’s true face and values. Not so long ago, we, as a company, ran into some serious issues: domain reputation problems, bugs in our email programs, and more. And of course, all of this happened right in the middle of a newsletter campaign — perfect timing, right? But here’s the thing: the Omnisend team and their local partners are absolute professionals. I’m not super technical, and a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff is beyond me, but the support team guided me step by step with patience, clarity, and real-life examples throughout the whole investigation process. I’m genuinely happy I chose this platform. No matter what the issue was or what caused it, they treated it like their own and committed to helping me solve it. Polite. Fast. Warm. Professional. That’s the standard Omnisend sets — and it's a tough one for competitors to match. I also want to give a personal thank you to Baarath — we exchanged quite a few emails, and he really stood out. While support shifts change, he became my support superhero. All the best to the Omnisend team — keep doing what you do!
For businesses requiring advanced email marketing features like sophisticated automation, in-depth analytics, and extensive customization, VerticalResponse might fall short due to its limited featuresVerticalResponse is ideal for small businesses or freelancers who need a simple, straightforward email marketing tool. Its ease of use and basic features make it suitable for those without extensive technical expertise in email marketing
Newsletter campaigns - the content editor is the usual one you see on email marketing apps, but it works so smoothly and well. Of course, there's Product Picker that allows you to just pick a product from your store and it goes straight into your newsletter--no need to add images or descriptions. Really easy.
Popups are great because they look amazing right out of the box. It's all pre-filled so if you don't like looking at a blank screen, you can just adapt the wording and it's there. voila!
Automation really is nice and it's the bulk of what we're doing now. It's like second level ecommerce marketing I guess, because you really see after some time how having automated steps can really save you time and make you a lot more money. Omnisend's automations are really good and intuitive and was really easy to learn and implement.
The tools that they provide you with for building out emails are particularly easy to use. I love the drag and drop ability that gives anyone the opportunity to build professional looking emails without any extensive experience.
With the majority of people checking emails on mobile, it is necessary to have highly responsive designs and this tool does all the work for you, no developer is needed and that is a MAJOR plus.
Initial setup wasn't firing right, support issue was handled pretty quickly and easily.
It does not go back and put previous orders/customers into the automation. It will only work with go-forward customers from the time you install the product. (At least that's what the outcome of our support inquiry told us...).
Would like to see more sample templates and campaigns.
The type face is small. Not sure if this is to avoid overwhelming the reader, but I could see this being an issue with vision-impaired people or people who don't see small print well.
Sometimes I find it takes multiple clicks to make one simple change. I wish there was a search field at the top of the screen that allowed me to jump directly to a client's entry to update it there.
Product is easy for both technical and non-technical people to use. A cost effective solution for sending out large number of messages. We can manage unsubscribes by individual accounts, so we can have multiple multiple accounts combined to maximize our buying power on credits. Effective API for sending/receiving data makes tool a valuable asset.
Im so so happy how everything goes so smooth! Its so good for small businesses. I hope I will grow my audience and I will go on paid version bcs they really deserve my money.
I truly love this product. We are moving to an all-in-one system next year and my greatest fear in doing so is how much I will miss this platform. Although we are excited for things ahead, I will always keep Vertical Response in my back pocket incase I don't love the new platform as much
Support is weird. They ask you to keep everything in one thread, but they can't see your replies if they forward it to tech, and things easily get lost. Also tech support is HORRIBLE, they just seem snobby, and give horrible advice liek to test things on a live version vs staging
At Vertical Response the help desk associates are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they enjoy what they do. And clearly, they are well trained because most times, the first point of contact is able to resolve any issue you may have. There have been very few times where an associate has needed to get back to me or escalate me to a supervisor
Basic functions and online help...we used what was needed, at the time, and will continue to explore other online trainings as our functional needs expand
At first I went through the standard choice, which is MailChimp. It's a nice-looking program and everything, but I wouldn't say they're user-friendly. It's quite techy and when you have an ecommerce store you really just want to get the results. It's a lot of work to create one simple newsletter and their customer support is pretty much non-existent. As for Klaviyo, they're pretty expensive. We just couldn't justify paying that much for results that were pretty much similar to MailChimp--in that it wasn't really impressive. Omnisend really was a breath of fresh air and their support must not sleep at all cause they answer all my smart and stupid questions within like 15 minutes. Every single time
I am a true believer in Vertical Response. So much so, that this is the first and only software I have used for this type of marketing. When this program was first launched it was a godsend - truly innovative for its time. And in the years since, I have continued to implement this software at three other winery properties because there is nothing else I want to use
