Chose RegOnline by Cvent (Discontinued)
We looked at EventBright as well as RegOnline. RegOnline was cheaper and offered more flexibility.
RegOnline is much easier to use than EventsAir, however, EventsAir has a lot more functions to offer although they are hard to figure out and their support is terrible. I would choose RegOnline over EventsAir because it is much easier to use and set up. It's reporting functions …
The Department also uses RegFox for training events as well as conferences. One of the main reasons they use RegFox is because of the price, it only charges $0.99 per registration whereas RegOnline charges $3.55 per registration. Because we are a state agency, that can make a …
Since our university did not have any other recommendations, our department only considered RegOnline for use. We chose not to use something simpler for just payments (such as Paypal) as our university said that they would not be able to determine which department the funds …
Picatic has a freemium account and free trial as opposed to Eventbrite. It also provides so many other different features that Eventbrite doesn't offer like: analytics, ticket management, sales reporting, mobile integration, etc. Picatic is also very simple to use as opposed to …
Picatic was the switch I made from using both Constant Contact and Eventbrite because it was a faster and easier platform to handle. It also did not come with a high monthly cost and out more information above the registration link. Overall the landing pages are much better on …
Picatics site is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. There are many features and many ways to customize your event to make sure that it is exactly what we want. If your having any issues the technical teams is always ready and available to help with any questions. Picatic has …
RegOnline has been well-suited for providing registration for participants as well as payment options in the same place. That is literally all that my department uses it for, and it is very well-suited for this purpose (though pricey). And although it is pricey, it was one of the only approved options by my university to accept credit card payments for our annual conference, as other options could not be properly tracked by the university. So for this purpose, RegOnline is very well-suited. I think that if someone needed to build an event registration page that did not require payment options as a necessity, then RegOnline would be less suited for use. It still can easily track participants, but I think there are better options out there for those who only need the most basic of services. I also think that since RegOnline has provided additional formatting capabilities, that it does handle the registration pages better than it has in the past. However, these still need improvement, with the ability to rearrange the order of required and optional questions.
This is perfectly suited for any events you wish to promote and where you wish to track specifically who has RSVP'd for the event and perhaps who hasn't.
I love the look and ease of putting the event together.
Its nice to be able to download a copy of all attendees for easy check-in at the door. They also have an application for smart phones that lets you scan the tickets as they come in and checks them off the list instantly.
The customer service team is always quick to respond and has help answer any questions that arise.
One of the areas that RegOnline could improve on is the price. Because of the expense $3.55 per registration, the Department is unable to use the software for other events. We have mine training classes that we couldn't use RegOnline for because of the expense.
RegOnline was not able to directly deposit registration fees collected from participants for other events and as a result we are unable to use it for those events.
The landing pages although decent could be better improved so that they convert better when people get hit with them.
I think the analytics tool could also be improved so that a person could track where leads come from easier.
I think they could also make it easier to see who is paying the processing fee easier to find. There were a few times that it took a little bit of time to get the overall pricing set-up just the way that I wanted it.
The Department also uses RegFox for training events as well as conferences. One of the main reasons they use RegFox is because of the price, it only charges $0.99 per registration whereas RegOnline charges $3.55 per registration. Because we are a state agency, that can make a big difference to our budget. That being said it is easier to build multi-track events in RegOnline.
Picatic was the switch I made from using both Constant Contact and Eventbrite because it was a faster and easier platform to handle. It also did not come with a high monthly cost and out more information above the registration link. Overall the landing pages are much better on Picatic than they were on any other site
RegOnline has been a major time-saver. Before RegOnline, we were getting emails and calls all through the registration window. Now, 99% of attendees are able to register independently and manage their own registrations.
