According to the vendor, marketers report on their results for two reasons: to prove their value, and to improve their results. Additionally, the vendor says TrackMaven is the only marketing analytics platform that gives marketers the ability to do both across all of their digital channels. We still use Excel in order to use Q, but all the analysis happens in Q. No need to learn formulas or reformat spreadsheets. Q does all the heavy lifting.

TrackMaven is easier to use and has a better interface but we still use NetBase for other specific requests.

I can't imagine ditching TrackMaven. It's a MUST HAVE. Better than pretty much any vendor that we use.

I inherited TrackMaven, as it was already being used when I started working here, but I really like it! It's much easier to use and has an incredibly fast learning curve so I feel like I'm using all of the features of the tool right away. The customer support team is very …

I don't have much experience with other competitors. I've been very happy with using TrackMaven. I think the team at TrackMaven has been really great in taking the time to make sure I understand the platform and that I am getting all of my questions answered. The staff is super …

TrackMaven is head and shoulders above the other products I've used. Again, cleaner and more friendly UI. Plus the data seems to be more accurate.

I have personally used HootSuite and have interacted with many alternatives. There is no comparison. HootSuite and similar products simply aggregate your social media feeds into one platform and allows for scheduled-postings. TrackMaven takes data above and beyond to deliver …

We use Q for quantitative data. If you know what you are doing it can still take a bit of time to manipulate your data into the most suitable format for the software to help you. But it is time well spent because once it's set up, Q makes the analysis a breeze. We use it for producing data tables, word clouds, significance testing, audience segmentation and coding of open-responses.

If your brand is looking for understanding competitors and normalizing data across disparate follower counts/footprint size, Trackmaven is great. Users need to understand the power of Boolean logic. TrackMaven needs dedicated users and time spent in building reports in order to understand how to use it.

Cons
  • The pricing model is a little restrictive for smaller teams that only really need one license but have to buy a 2nd to help out modest users/users learning the ropes.
  • Learning the basics can take quite a bit of time but they offer plenty of free resources that help you through it step-by-step
  • Too be honest, I don't have too many complaints

  • For the foreseeable future. TrackMaven is focused on measuring social sharing. We wish it also captured information about pageviews and monthly unique visitors -- the kind of data that lives inside Google Analytics -- or integrated it through an API. It would be exceptionally helpful not just to have all those metrics in one place, but also to easily measure correlations between them.

I inherited TrackMaven, as it was already being used when I started working here, but I really like it! It's much easier to use and has an incredibly fast learning curve so I feel like I'm using all of the features of the tool right away. The customer support team is very helpful and works hard to make sure that you are really using the product to its full capabilities, rather than just scratching the surface

Return on Investment
  • Time saving - not exaggerating when I say we can do at least 10x the amount of analysis than we could without it
  • More thorough insights obtained from our data sets
  • Makes data engaging to other stakeholders

  • Paid Search & Social - TrackMaven has given us the ability to develop smarter social advertising and reach our audience with the right messages
  • Account Analytics - the account overview we receive in TrackMaven of our own social media accounts is duplicative of what we already get through other software
  • Funnel Analysis - If we can better see which efforts are paying off with leads, at a granular level, we can use our social spend budget more wisely
