Skilljar’s Customer Education LMS Platform is a solution to educate, engage, and retain everyone a business interacts with. An external LMS for customer and partner education, it is a Gainsight solution since the 2025 acquisition.
I've let them know about the unique features of certain of our places. The same rules apply even if the site is set up in an unconventional way. As a result, everything may be tailored to the user's specific requirements. Due to their proficiency, several of these places are …
Hotschedules Train compares to blackboard because I am able to track everything a whole lot easier. It also allows me to input all kinds of documents instead of strictly word or excel documents. I am able to upload personal videos as well as bring in videos from another source …
I am a CHART board member and learned about HotSchedules from their organization becoming involved in CHART. We work hard to support our vendors. We did not look at a lot of other options.
We use Pulse for tracking our daily targets, labor percentages, and cogs. You're not able to schedule, hire, or train employees with pulse but its really good a tracking daily sales and targets for multiple venues. With pulse I only need one account to view numbers and cogs for …
We did a lot of research looking for the right LMS - Wisetail, Skillsoft, and Cornerstone. We selected Schoox because we already used HotSchedules in our organization and also because of its cost.
We reviewed and in some cases tested many other options for employee training. Some worked well for salaried employees but would require too much time to manage hourly employees, some had good platforms but could not easily merge with our current systems. We began using …
We did not use Wisetail, but we went through several weeks of training calls when we were deciding between that LMS and Schoox. We selected Schoox because of the integration with HotSchedules, something we already used, and the ongoing ease it would provide in shifting job …
We looked at multiple different platforms but because it's tied with HotSchedules, it allows us to keep everything under one umbrella and less logins. The customer service at Hot Schedules has also been instrumental in all of our decisions. Their team is awesome.

An LMS being provided by an external vendor that was really about videos but weren't custom to our brand. HotSchedules Train powered by Schoox lets us customize everything so it is part of our brand and earns our new hire teammates' trust. We were already HotSchedule users and …
Train has great functionally and is easy to use, and its tie-in with HotSchedules made it a simple transition from Inquisiq. Inquisiq was a great tool for us at the time, but we grew out of it and Train was the most logical next step due to integration, pricing, and scaling.
While I wasn't involved in the selection process of Skilljar Customer Education Software, I do believe its ease of use, overall feature set, and reporting and analytic capabilities make this LMS product stand out against many options on the the market.
Ease of use for an administrator and small team, ability to customize without having to pay for professional services, level of service from the vendor.
Skilljar provides stronger customization features, more code snippet options, more styling tools, and more effective integrations. These include Credly, Salesforce, and SCORM. Additionally, the catalog is all part of the same system, making it easy to manage. The analytics …
There is absolutely an ecosystem of products and solutions required to support and enable end users - one can think of them as an orchestra. Each part does a specific job or task and each has a varying degree of ease of use and compatibility. Skilljar is the container that …
Compared to other LMS it has great features, plus a faster learning curve and is very easy to manage. Other platforms could be cheaper but are pretty limited, and others have way to much features that we were not going to use and with a very high cost, so complex that the …
The processing time to upload and get the lessons ready on Skilljar is much lesser compared to a lot of the other LMSes out there. The in-depth reporting that Skilljar provides is definitely worth every penny. Internally, the data and analytics provided by Skilljar helps plan …
Skilljar customer education software is well suited for all industry without having any issue to use for this or that place. Very easy to make as per our need compared to other application. And not seen so easy to use Tool for education and very easy to delay and increase …
Great Sales pitch. Ease of use tool was needed for our small team. I also had great references from others who used the tool. Also, I really appreciate their blogs, customer involvement, and research. Overall we have been very happy with the results in our first year. …
We looked at other companies that used Skilljar and how they used it. We liked what we saw! Sadly, some of the other vendors we contacted did not get back to us, which immediately flagged them as providing poor pre-sales support.
Skilljar Customer Education Software is easier to use and can do a lot more in fewer clicks than Cornerstone. Cornerstone was a clunky system with the focus not on learning like their other suites and the UI was not user-friendly. Spent my time on the admin work than I do now …
We have special locations that work differently and I have recommended this to them. Even for locations set up differently, it still applies. Because everything can be personalized to fit the need of the user. These locations have become so adept at it that they have become admins themselves so they can implement their ideas immediately. I have yet to come across a scenario where this is not appropriate
Skilljar is fantastic for structured onboarding processes. If you're looking to streamline and standardize the onboarding experience for your customers, especially for software or complex products, this platform is a gem. It allows you to create step-by-step courses guiding users through functionalities, reducing confusion and accelerating their learning curve. When you need versatility in content delivery, Skilljar is spot-on. Whether it's video tutorials, interactive quizzes, downloadable resources, or live webinars, the platform accommodates various formats. It's perfect for accommodating different learning styles and ensuring engagement.
For scenarios that demand highly complex simulations or immersive learning experiences, Skilljar's capabilities might fall short. While it supports interactive elements, extremely sophisticated simulations might require additional specialized software or platforms.
Unlimited courses, learning paths, quizzes, pages, plans, and certifications
Ease of use for students, administrators, and content creators
Customer Success and Service are top notch. The CSMs are genuinely committed to helping you achieve your metrics and goals
Asking for and listening to customer feedback for enhancements
Developer Center where people with little to no coding experience can learn how to use and apply HTML templates and code snippets to customize your site
Looking up an individual employee's progress on line is very simple and intuitive. But finding the right report for training is not and can take lots of time to find what you are looking for.
The mobile app needs to have more of the social features like the Leader Board and creating a new message.
We have 9 different concepts in our training academy, I would like to be able to restrict the courses and curricula to those that only apply to specific concepts. Similar to how the content can be assigned to different units.
Would love to see parent/child courses so that when something is updated in the parent course that change is automatically reflected in the clones of that course.
Features that allow for the translation of content to allow access to content across languages.
Re-onboarding process when the usage of Skilljar changes hands within out company in order to address knowledge gaps.
I rate it at a 7 because I think first and foremost the value outweighs any of the improvements I'd like to see. Consistency in message is king. I feel as though the verbiage used is often confusing, the interface could be more intuitive and the academy should be able to be more customizable for the brand
The overall usability is great as the software is very easy to learn and navigate. After just 1 week of "playing" around in the system I felt very comfortable using it and teaching others to use it as well. Customers have also mentioned Skilljar is a much better than out previous vendor
The support team is great at Skilljar. Not perfect, but that can't be expected. Everyone I've worked with has been friendly, attentive, and fairly quick to respond/act. They also have a pretty sturdy set of Knowledge Base articles as well to self serve.
Hotschedules Train compares to Blackboard because I am able to track everything a whole lot easier. It also allows me to input all kinds of documents instead of strictly word or excel documents. I am able to upload personal videos as well as bring in videos from another source (such as youtube). The reporting is simple and efficient through Schoox and I think overall the navigation is easier from a user and administrative standpoint.
Skilljar provides stronger customization features, more code snippet options, more styling tools, and more effective integrations. These include Credly, Salesforce, and SCORM. Additionally, the catalog is all part of the same system, making it easy to manage. The analytics tools are also more robust, and the customer service is much more helpful and responsive
