| Considered Both Products | Chose SolarWinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN) We looked at Foglight, VMturbo, and vCenter Operations Manager, all great products. We knew we needed a tool but we had a habit of purchasing tools and not using them so we wanted to keep the price tag within reason. The SolarWinds product fit the bill. More Info | Chose vCenter Operations Manager (vCOPS), discontinued SolarWinds as an overall tool is much more flexible. It allows you to perform tasks based on events, whereas the vCenter Operations Manager monitors your environment. SolarWinds costs more.
