Adyen is a fantastic service. We have NEVER had a service disruption. Just the opposite, Adyen helped us through several incidents where we were being carded or otherwise targeted. Of gateways in the market, Adyen has some of the easiest-to-use interfaces, a fantastic set of fraud management tools, an actual omnichannel presence (with access to high-quality POS devices), and most importantly, a world-class customer success team that is always in our corner. I'd strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an omnichannel gateway or needing a gateway to be integrated into their commerce platform or ERP.

Any user on Netsuite, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Magento should be considering Adyen. As well as customers that are considering Stripe, but also want a physical or international presence. Adyen is highly competitive with Braintree and has much better success support. Not suited for customers who already have a payment-integrated platform, like Square or Shopify.
Adyen is a our payment processor for physical retail storefronts, e-commerce, and call center/concierge, all of which utilize Dynamics 365 F&O, which Adyen is out-of-box solution for. The call center manages our wine club subscriptions, or in other words re-occurring transactions. We are about to launch wallet payments on our e-commerce store utilizing the built-in integration Adyen provides.

Well suited for Ecommerce. Checkout is seamless, especially with the addition of wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Physical store checkout could be improved due to terminal hardware and customer payments. Terminal hardware could be improved, and it'd be great to have an iPhone app/software delivered by Adyen, rather than having to build in-house.
We use Adyen as our payment service provider of choice for acquiring transactions and local payment methods in a highly data-driven context. Our use case is recurring top up transactions which users use on their account to then access a variety of payment services in a European context. We utilise Adyen differently in each geography since we operate throughout the EU, offering local payment method where available and beneficial for conversion. Additionally, we also make use of fraud prevention tools offered by Adyen to manage risk.

I would like to be able to create my own reports, like a combination between "Received payment details" and "Interactive payment accounting".
Maybe you can have a better integration with PayPal. The disputes are reflected all wrong in Adyen, for example if we accept a chargeback in PayPal, in Adyen we see a "chargeback reversed" status first, then we see a "refund" status. This is very confusing for us, we have accepted that chargeback, which means we have lost the case, what are a Chargeback Reversed and a Refund statuses doing here? I think PayPal is trying to unblock the transaction that received the chargeback, but this is a very confusing way of handling the chargebacks. If I look at the "Dispute transaction details" reports, all the PayPal chargebacks are "won" because of that "Chargeback reversed" status, which is obviously wrong, we lose some cases and we win others.
Amex chargebacks could be integrated. We don't see them in Adyen at all.

Also, it has a secured integration layer with front-end technology. We do not worry about PCI DSS Compliance and audit as API integration works well independently. Also, all of the payment information of customers is encrypted and secured which increases trust in privacy. Different Payment types integration like 2-step verification, account login verification, etc. Runtime configuration to display or restrict payment type.
We use Adyen as a direct acquirer in our e-commerce, it has proved to be a very agile and efficient payment processing tool, it has a high approval rate, and a response time that suits online purchases well.It has transshipped to other payment methods just as quickly when a purchase is denied by its platform. It has very clear forecast reports, as well as withdrawal logs with all the details of processed amounts and card scheme fees.

In addition to having an FAQ where they explain each reason code and how to prepare a defense.Another positive point is that when we needed to answer some extra questions we had a quick response in Portuguese by email and by phone that helped us completely.
