Great for pre-existing audio files, but not the solution for transcribing live audio (meetings/phone calls)
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We looked into a speech-to-text solution as a way to transcribe our daily meetings (90+ minutes per day) and inbound/outbound call center recordings (hundreds of recordings per week) as a solution to improve efficiency by allowing us to quickly share data from meetings (as a text-file versus a 90-minute audio file) and search call recordings for specific keywords (and to use for coaching/training purposes) without needing to manually review each audio file.
Pros
- Automated Speech to text transcribing
- Video and Audio file to text data file conversion
Cons
- There does not appear to be a way to transcribe live audio (such as a live meeting or live phone call)
Most Important Features
- Speech to text conversion (fast!)
- Ability to export in various formats, with timestamps.
Return on Investment
- Having an automated speech-to-text conversion allows us to reduce human hours, which would normally take notes or have to review long audio files.
- Being able to transcribe multiple call recordings into a searchable text format allows for coaching of issues in a much more efficient format than an audio recording.
