Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use AppSheet to capture data that falls off the grid and build new products that can be offered to customers. AppSheet is being used to capture, measure and manage data that is not currently recorded by our enterprise resource planning solution. What's even better is that the data is easily made available to our users in a very secure way and can also be visualized by other applications such as Looker. AppSheet facilitates Rapid Architected Application Development, which in turn gives the orginzation the ability to respond to changes in the environment and build new products. This is especially true in the areas of property management, logistics management and talent management.

Pros

Capture data in real time via a mobile device
Share data in a very secure manner
An open architecture that allows the integration of other applications
Audit usage of any newly built application
Ease of access, device independent.

Cons

Voice assistant has to start working so that users can talk instead of type
Allow generative AI to train on the data captured by AppSheet so that new insights can be quickly delivered to decision makers
Integrate AppSheet into established dashboard applications so that it's one seemless product.

Likelihood to Recommend

Any property management business based requirement is easily met with AppSheet.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Google's AppSheet is a great tool for organizing the entire Compliance area, in addition to being an incredible support for establishing metrics. The tool is comprehensive, capable of not only controlling valuable analysis information in the area but also creating automated dashboards and email flows from it. All of this can be done with minimal programming. My goal is to continuously improve my knowledge to understand all of its functionalities better.

Understand and have access of the Functions and Codes (like if, sum, etc) - difficult to find information
ID - Difficult to put an ID +1 the information before. When I did it, it wasn't possible to create a column with information from another
Chart - difficult to create charts of %, not possible to change the columns of different color, when you change the order from the dashboard, it doesnt save, cannot create a pizza graph

Likelihood to Recommend

AppSheet is perfect for supporting an area of a company that doesn't have many resources available in IT/Programming. Its goal is amazing, as it aims to create a product without the need to know programming - although it's necessary when creating some specific functions. You can create everything from information/analysis control, with all the questions/information you want, to automated charts, dashboards, email alerts, and even payments.
As an improvement point, I would say it would be important to have an easier communication channel to learn how to use the platform masterfully.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used AppSheet extensively in our business. We built apps to manage insurance claims (processing over $77M in claim payments), audit claims, audit underwriting processes, handle new claim intake, manage compliance tasks, track product changes, respond to fixes and enhancements, etc. Using AppSheet we can make enhancements to our processes quickly and do so at an affordable cost.

Cons

Provide more options for customizing the user interface.
Move enhancements more quickly to production ready status. Some enhancements are stuck in "preview" for too long.
Continue to work on making the experience intuitive for no-coders.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for internal app use. Not as great for public use, but this is an area we would also like to use AppSheet more. An excellent tool to use at smaller companies that benefit from being nimble, cost efficient, and able to customize their solutions for their customers.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

AppSheet is primarily used for status tracking and project management type of use cases. It primarily involves working with simple data which is otherwise stored in excel sheets or google sheets, etc. To overcome the problems associated with storing the data in sheets, AppSheet is being increasingly used in our organization. It can cater to multiple use cases from what I understand.

Pros

It's fairly easy to build the app
Efficient to use for relatively less complex use cases
Does not require lot of maintenance

Cons

Ability to add more types of dashboards/charts
creating custom fields to build dashboards/charts

Likelihood to Recommend

AppSheet is less suited for scenarios where complex calculations / number crunching etc. is involved. Already answered where it is better suited.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With only 1 year experience of using AppSheet in my daily ERP need of managing the business I'm totally in love this platform: easy to create and use, a bit more complex in terms of more advance UX or data display's need - but with our current modest SME operating module, AppSheet delivers great results (especially with their latest move offering it free for Google Workspace Users).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used to have lots of spreadsheets until I found out about AppSheet. I accidentally saw "create an app" on my google sheets and decided to click on it. Then I started to explore and I saw an excellent opportunity to integrate the many departments and I solved the inventory problem we had. Since then I've been creating solutions to track and organize our tasks and work daily routine.

Display data in a more friendly way
Simple and intuitive, easy to learn
Create fast automations

Cons

Improve user interface
Working with files still needs some workaround for specific routines
Views such as kanban, gant and more button options missing
AppSheet could charge only owner and admin users

It is hightly indicated for internal business management. It is less appropriate when you have many users

Create an App Out of a G Sheet in Seconds

Inventory management and providing a user/mobile-friendly interface for colleagues in the field.

User-friendly (Developing and End-user side)
Ultra-fast creation of an app out of a g-sheet
Zero bugs
Super useful small details (e.g. Bar/QR-code scanner)

Cons

Simple text/image/video pages which could be easily stored in a g-sheet/g-slide (e.g. training material)
User specific access (e.g. define access to certain parts of the DB based)
The automation part is too complicated for me (it might be actually counter-intuitive or it might need better documentation/training)
Embedding G-forms directly in the app

Likelihood to Recommend

Inventory management is perfect. Defining users' access levels is almost impossible (for me).

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have a problem with data recollecting in the field, and i learn to use AppSheet to solve this problem creating AppSheets for a diverse kind of tasks, like sugarcane planting , sugarcane harvesting, sprays and sugarcane fertilization. I like a lot AppSheet and it's flexibility to create apps for diverses tasks without knows in programing. I use the data recollecting by the app to make some graphics.

AppSheet, based in my short experience, could be appropriate in cases where you need to recollect data from users or employees. AppSheet allows you to work with diverse kind of data and diverse kind of industry. I use it for digitalize field data in a spreadsheet and automatize graphics in data studio or power BI.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used the AppSheet as a means to simplify process operation I am assigned with. Currently, one process that I am involved is having to use emails and printed documents for filling up and signatories. Through AppSheet, not only I have translated this process into an app, but also developed it in such a way that it saves time and resources and simplified the monitoring of the particular task.

Cons

Maybe we can use the automated email on bots for free :P

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very helpful in automating and digitizing processes that are physical document heavy because it takes a lot of time for physical documents to circulate around. I have not yet seen the full potential of AppSheet, so I still can't comment on what scenarios or projects in which it is less appropriate.
